The hotel is in terrible condition and is nowhere near 5-star standards. First of all, there was no hot water on our last day. I only realised this after I had already stepped into the shower and had no choice but to shower with cold water. This is completely unacceptable. Secondly, smoking is allowed in most rooms. The first room we were given was no different from a kıraathane, we were greeted by an overwhelming smell of cigarette smoke. When I requested a room change, the staff mockingly asked if I had requested a non-smoking room in the first place. For the record, smoking in enclosed public areas is prohibited by law in Turkey, and there were No Smoking signs on every room door. Although we were moved to another room, the smell of smoke had already permeated everything. Further cigarette smoke is blown into the room through the A/C. Even the supposedly clean bed linen and towels smelled of cigarettes. Thirdly, the sound insulation is terrible. We could clearly hear every conversation in the neighbouring room; I will leave the rest to your imagination. Fourthly, housekeeping removed the used items but failed to replace the slippers with new ones. Lastly, despite the hotel advertising free parking on Hotels.com, we were not allowed to use the covered car park. Instead, there is only a small outdoor parking area with space for approximately 7–8 cars. If it is full, you are expected to hand your car over to the bellboys, who understandably expect to be tipped for the service
