Very disappointed that the pool advertised was “closed for the season “. It is an indoor pool and we stayed there so our grandkids could come and swim. There was nothing stating this before we checked in. Also disappointed in the pet fee. We are used to places that welcome pets and don’t have fees.

Hotel had a cafe but the menu and hours were limited. The cafe had a bar but it was closed our entire stay. They did have a small snack and beverage section that offered single serve alcoholic beverages but it was overpriced. There was a large family gathering with a big group of adults and children that had catering at the cafe during breakfast and lunch hours. They took over the entire cafe area, and there was nowhere to sit if we wanted to order food and beverages. The indoor pool was not open during our stay. Had a late checkout for 2:00pm, and had the do not disturb sign on the door, but housekeeping knocked on our door at 11:15am asking if we were checking out.

This property is located close to ABE. Somewhat hard to find. Very old hotel. Our room was updated and nice. AC old, noisy and controls did not work correctly. Elevator fortunately worked while we were there with all its noises. Obvious maintenance needed on the facility. Did not feel safe outside, but had no issues. Restaurants close by were old, somewhat dirty and in need of updating. Expected more for the $.

Sonesta Select Allentown Bethlehem Airport was a great place to stay on our stop over in the Allentown area. It was clean, quiet, room was a great size. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I expected SO much more from Sonesta. Deliberately booked here as there was a pool. However, when I went to use pool there was a sign it was closed due to "seasonal issues".....seriously, its an INDOOR pool, what "season" could cause issues. If pool is not open this should be posted on the website. Also really surprised there was NO breakfast as typical in most hotels. Only thing offered was a bagel or 4 oz container of cereal for SEVEN DOLLARS!!! (and 30 cents). UN.BE.LIEV.A..ABLE!!!! Again this should be posted on website. I will NEVER stay at a Sonesta again.
