The pool and hot tub area were very rusty and parts of the floor and wall falling apart... Also didn't look like the spa area had been cleaned in a while with a bunch of debris at the bottom! Otherwise the hotel community area and rooms were nice and clean and staff very friendly and accommodating!

There were no more pool towels present during morning swim, TV in room wouldn't come through with any clarity despite several attempts to adjust the coaxial cable, green algae present along wall next to hot tub, A/C in room load and buzzing, continental breakfast breads, bagels, and muffins all unthawed. Will not stay at this particular hotel again, especially having paid such a high price of $411 at checkin. Ughh! I wouldnt complain at $145/night but I would appreciate a partial refund or a free night voucher.

This was a great property. Pool and hot tub were clean and warm. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was on time with lots of options. Easy walk to the mall with fun huge arcade for the kids. We loved it. 10/10

The staff was very polite and helpful. Hotel is under construction but still very nice. The hot tub was soooo good and breakfast was better than most of the same standard hotel. We enjoyed our stay!!

Under renovation which is good because it needs it!! The hallway leading to the pool is very cold! Pool area is old, dirty, trash around pool area that was there for days, moldy around hot tub, broken tiles, very harsh chemicals that lead to painful and itchy red rash on the kids. Breakfast just meh. Waffle mix was out and no one around to replenish. Fire alarm went off 10pm and we all had to evacuate into freezing temps while staff ran around confused. After the fire department showed up it was determined that the elevator motor was smoking. The welcome cookies were not there, front desk lady kept saying she would make them but we checked multiple times and they were never made. The only reason I'm giving it 2 stars is because some of the staff were very friendly. Bathroom smelly and fixtures/bathtub stained. The house keeper was knocking on the door at 9am when check out is at 11 and the kids didnt sleep well from the pool rash that was a bit annoying. There is more i should comment on but i think thats enough.

Hotel is undergoing renovations but was reasonably priced so we stayed there. Across the street from Portland Mall, very handy to shopping. Good parking. Our room was spacious and relatively clean. There were hanging cobwebs on the ceiling over the bed, but otherwise the room seemed clean. The pool area needed a deep cleaning. The floor was filthy and there was a lot of 'scum' around the pool tiles. The pool chairs were rusted out as well as the bathroom door frame. It was run down, but I am sure they will address these things as part of the renovation. In the meantime, a good cleaning would do wonders. The hot tub was great! Lots of jets and relaxing. The breakfast was really good. We had a hot breakfast and each day it was different. It was kept well stocked. Excellent customer service from Tim!

The entire hotel needs updating and there was some construction, and I understand a recent acquisition by IHG. The hot tub was accessible at the times advertised. The location is very convenient for shopping, dining and access to highways.

The hotel.itself wasnt super clean. Sticky spills on the floor of the elevator and a sticky spill on the floor of ous room. The first room we got was very musty smelling and tiles broke off in the bathroom. We did ask for a different room and the guy at the desk was great and gave us a new room. The continental breakfast had nothing at 8:30 and another gueat was told nothing would be added.

We found the room in very poor condition. Both cleanliness and disrepair. There was mold around the entire tub area. The towel hooks were falling off the walls. We were there for two nights and received no service to the room. I went to the front desk to get clean towels.

The hotel was run down and dirty. Bathroom floor clearly not mopped, dirt around fridge, clear things had not been dusted. Hall floors were in need of sweeping. Rooms along hall had trash bags outside the door, bedding outside the door. It was a real shame. I will say common area for breakfast was clean.

Upon arrival, I noticed trash in the bushes, in lot and near entrance. Check in was smooth and he was very helpful suggesting things to do in the area. The room smelled clean. All appliances worked properly. The pool area was empty but dirty towels and food litter was strewn about. I passed on the pool and tub which are 2 things that made me choose this hotel vs others in the same price range. It was extremely late and when I pulled back the sheet/cover there was tiny black things that looked like either dead bugs or mouse poop. It looks like the mattress has never been cleaned/vacuumed. I slept very little as I slept in the chaise. As soon as the sun came out I immediately checked out. I am disappointed I spent $300 for 1 hotel night and the quality was so poor. Please note, I am not picky, I love to travel and have stayed in some doozies but I draw the line at having to sleep upright.

We have stayed here many times because it’s a good location and it’s affordable. However the room really didn’t have adequate heating for the size of the room. We could have used a real coffee maker in the room . Basics items like paper towels or spoons for coffee would be great. Definitely more outlets especially near bed to plug in essential items. It definitely needs more lighting. The sofa was set up so you could not see tv if you sat on it. The room needs more color too. Seemed pretty drab. Love the hot tub and the convenience of the location to everything. Definitely a good location. It just really needs to be ungraded with out charging a fortune for the rooms.

It did the job for the price. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Both sides curved to the middle and it was rock hard. The walls were paper thin so we could hear full on conversation as well as phone notifications from the next room. Breakfast was nowhere near as good as the fairfield inns but it was free. I would stay if the price remained the same but would probably try somewhere else next time. I saw they were renovating so maybe things will change. I usually stay at the Fairfield Inn Portland Airport just a few mins away but thought I'd switch it up and try hampton inn for the first time.

The size of the room was amazing! I felt like we rented an apartment for the night. We had to call to get sheets etc for the pull out couch and the girl who brought them wasn't very friendly. The king sized bed was NOT comfy, I didn't sleep much at all. The chase lounge was very comfy to sit in. The bathroom was good sized and so was the kitchen. Aside from the 1 cup coffee maker, toilet paper, tissues, towels and shampoo etc. there was nothing else for extra items. Nothing in the cupboards, drawers or closets. There were two closets, but only a few hangers in 1 and mine and our daughter's dresses were dragging on the floor. We even had 2 doors to go in and out of. The room could've used some upgrades. The carpet and upholstery on the furniture was worn and or had stains on them. The man at the front desk that checked us in was very friendly and seemed to like his job. Overall it was a decent stay, it would have been 4 star all around if the bed had been comfy. The rest was an ok trade off for the size of the room.

I have added a few descriptors above for what we liked besides the choices there. However, it was not without issues. When I booked the room, I asked for an extra 2-3 pillows. They were not there when we arrived. I spoke to 4 people about this in 24 hours and they finally showed up only after I sent a message to the manager. Secondly, I was unhappy with the cleanliness of the room. The bathroom toilet had not been cleaned completely. The bathroom sink was cracked from the ledge to the drain spout. I've been an RN working in Infection Control before I retired and I can tell you no amount of cleaning is going to prevent bacteria from lodging and growing in there. There was a lot of caulking around the bathtub, some of which appeared to have mildew on it. Dusting in the room was kind of haphazard. For example, the lower bars of the desk had a lot of dust. All were reported to the property.

I have stayed at 4 different hotels in the past 5 days, and this was by far the worst check in experience. She gave me no details (e.g. I had to ask about room number, breakfast, wifi, etc.). All she said was the information is in the booklet. I also had to ask about Hilton Rewards which I am a member of and should be asked to get my points without having to ask.

My wife accidentally left her cell phone in the room we were staying in when we checked out. She did not notice it missing until at the airport. Called the manager on duty at the hotel and he found the phone in the room and even expressed mail it to my wife. She received it just a few days later. Thank you Austin.

The toilet wouldn’t flush. The dead bolt on the door was broken. They had no towels, only one towel in the room and we had 4 people. No towels at the pool either. Went down for breakfast at 7:30 and mostly everything was gone and they said they have a limited amount of what they set out everyday even though there was still 2 and a half hours of “breakfast” left. Luckily the staff was very friendly and apologetic, otherwise, I’d rate this hotel a zero.

Arrived in the evening to an empty lobby. Waited almost 10 minutes before an employee appeared to check us in. The hotel had a beat up and dingy feel. I had stayed at this location in the past but service and cleanliness have definitely declined. Will not stay again

This hotel was actually one of the best priced in the area. We were in town visiting UNE's med school with my daughter. Close to everything and what I expected for the price. It is basically an older Hampton Inn that will go under renovations. Staff was great, breakfast was what I would expect. If you are not a fan of the breakfast there is a restaurant called Stacks that is really good and only 6 minutes away. There was an issue with some extremely loud guests that not only we called the front desk on but so did several other rooms. They went on till almost 4 am. I won't ding the hotel on that as I don't know what protocol is for these types of things. Overall, I would stay again. I would most likely make this my home base for a hotel due to location and the professional staff if daughter gets into UNE's Med School program.

The property is aging for a Hampton Inn. Walls are very thin. Good value though. Breakfast was fine. Great location close to mall and local brewery with a very wide ranging dinner menu. Great service and staff.

The pool bathroom was disgusting. Not sur it had been cleaned in weeks. It was not sanitary. Except for construction areas on 2 floors the rest of hotel was clean just the pool bathroom that was terrible. The service at breakfast was exceptional. He was very friendly and everything was clean and all food was terrific if you don't count the eggs. They are terrible everywhere unless you are in a high end motel with real eggs cooked to order.

Stay was okay until it was breakfast time. I’ve stayed here before and was served a decent breakfast. Today they had nothing down there & only do “hot breakfast” on the weekends. If that’s how it is you should make that clear for people to know.

firts and last included breakfasts where ok, but giant amount of trash is generated by this hotel as nothing is reusable. second breakfast (on the Sunday AM) was a catastrophe as they closed everything 1hr before the announced hour, leaving a lot of customer with 10% of the usual choices. fortunatelly the day after the manager made sure that the breakfast was served as per shcedule.

Breakfast could be improved. Coffee was so weak Toilet ran constantly and wouldn't flush properly. Gnats/ fruit flies were bothersome in our room when we didnt even have food. It was gross.
