We chose this property because it had a shuttle to the Merriweather Post Pavillion for a concert. The hotel was clean and the staff was wonderful! The shuttle worked out perfectly.

I was there one Saturday night before a family gathering. Staff was friendly and efficient and the rooms and lobby very tidy. Breakfast was worth the money and the waffle maker is easy and fun to use. Only missed not having berries to add on top, but you can’t have everything, right? The Chin was a nice size and very clean with lots of machines. The Jacuzzi in the pool area Was very therapeutic after a 5 Hour drive from New York. Definitely great value for the money!

I needed a separate bedroom and the suite was perfect for the money. Pool, fitness, jacuzzi were all very clean and nice. The staff was super- friendly and helpful. Easy parking, spacious lobby area, nice clean rooms with a very comfortable bed and thick towels. I had zero complaints over 2 nights, which is unusual for me lol!

Stay was excellent overall. Tub safety could be improved by an additional grab bar (the one installed is in a place that makes no sense and is not helpful) and non-slip texture on tub bottom, although I did find a rubber mat that I used in the tub. Continental breakfast is a bargain at $12.95, with fruit, juices, coffee, cold cereal, hot oatmeal, yogurt with and without fruit, bagels, muffins and coisants (not sure of spelling). Beautiful indoor pool and hot tub.

The rooms need to be heavily dusted and vacuumed. Only one of the two elevators was working all five days/four nights we were there. We had a problem with noisy neighbors at 1:00 a.m. but the front desk took care of it in a timely manner. The beds were comfortable.

Staff were great, but property is old, rooms are very outdated and cleanliness is an issue. If I could have found another hotel to move to I would have. My first room awful, but thankfully they moved me to another room. I would not stay here again. I don't understand the high positive reviews. The hotel I normally stay was full so I booked here based on the reviews and the higher cost as I thought I would get. "Hilton" experience.

Room was ok. No outside view, just indoor pool and courtyard. Shower didnt have a no slip mat or stickers. It was very slippery and i did fall once. They need to address that. Also the room air conditioner decided to switch to heating mode our second night and the room temp went to 80 degrees before i manually shut it off. At the price they charge this sort of stuff shouldn't be happening. I wont be going back.

No way to stream through the hotel tvs, in this day and age my kid found it to be spmething out of the jurassic era. Everything else was nice enough for the price but that needs a serious update.

The room was clean but needed updated. Bothe the floor lamp and desk lamp had broken shades, the door that would normally have been covering the tvs stand and hiding the refrigerator and microwave, did not exist, rusty spots on the interior door frame in the bathroom, outdated furniture, etc. For the lobby and bar area being as updated as it was, the room was most definitely an after thought. Beds were OK and pillows were thin and flimsy and we could've used about 4 more just to be comfortable. Staff was friendly. We ended up using one elevator consistently because the other seemed like it didn't want to open every time we got to the bottom floor. Also - we did not go to the bar or eat at the restaurant because the menu was very limited so we ended up going to some of our favorite spots in Columbia instead. Over all - not a bad stay but for the cost and again, the lobby being upgraded, the rooms could've been much better.

When you first walk into the hotel, the lobby is very nice. Unfortunately, the rooms do not live up to the expectation that the lobby sets. First, the elevators were constantly not working when waiting to go to the rooms, and the staircase did not lead to the first floor, so it was not an easy option to just take the stairs. There were often long waits for the elevator especially around check out time. Our bathroom had a shower curtain rod that felt like it would fall off the wall at the lightest touch, and the shower screamed with a high pitch whine when the hot water was used. The curtain looked outdated and grimy. There was not good air flow in the room and it felt too dry. The HVAC unit had no continuous run mode, where we could just keep the fan on, and was so noisy when it started up that it would wake us up at night. The bed was comfortable, and the staff was friendly.

The stay was just fine - check in was a bit of a dumpster fire. They had clearly overbooke / at capacity and when we arrived at 5PM we were told "they had to check to see if there were any king rooms ready" - mind you check in starts at 3PM. We were told a 5-10 minute wait but it was closer to 25 minutes before we had room keys. Upon entering our room it was clear it was already alotted to another guest... People were in there. Had to then go back downstairs and wait for another room (which was only about 5 more minutes, but still). The staff were apologetic and we did get complimentary breakfast as a small token of apology... But it felt like mismanagement in the moment.

Overall my experience at the DoubleTree was...fine. We were in town for a show at Merriweather Post Pavillion and specifically chose this location as we knew they offered shuttle services between the hotel and the venue. On Friday, the driver dropped us off at a bar near the venue and gave vague directions regarding where we could be picked up. We could not find the location, and after calling the front desk, the front desk associate could not help or give an exact location; therefore, we had to pay for a ride-share back. They offered us complimentary breakfast to make up for the issue. On Saturday, we had to meet friends early, so we did not take the shuttle to the venue, though we made a point to ask the front desk for the pickup location - they could not provide an exact address but gave an approximate location. After the show, we were tired but found the location after searching - the shuttle never came. We called the front desk to confirm we had the right location and received condescending responses from the front desk agent (the same one from the previous evening). Again, we had to take a ride share back to the venue. Throughout all of this, no employee could provide an exact location where the pickup point was - just a vague area, and after nearly an hour of waiting, I do not believe we were given fair directions for people not from the area. The room was fine but overpriced, as was the breakfast buffet. We will not be returning.

The employees were honestly the best part and made our trip so much more special. We had tickets to the Baltimore Ravens game which is my husband's absolute favorite team. We had never been to an NFL game. We're from the PNW and holidays just ended so our PTO was limited. We flew in on an overnight flight, arrived at 530am, and were completely exhausted. As you know, sleeping on a flight is not a quality nights rest. The game was at 430pm the day we arrived. After calling and explaining the situation, we were able to pay a small fee and get into our room by 7am. This meant we could rest up for the big game! The front desk had warm cookies which we LOVED. Every time we walked passed the front desk, the staff knew we loved the cookies and would offer us some. It was a really enjoyable experience. Everything was neat, clean, and comfortable but the staff really took the cake by being so hospitable. Thank you so much! I hope you'll share this review with your team because they are awesome!

I stay at this hotel quite frequently the hotel it self is always clean and the staff are welcoming. I love the warm cookies just wish they were the oatmeal raisin ones like before . This actual stay my flight was delayed so I definitely appreciate Edgar for being able to accommodate a later check out due to our trip ☺️ I don’t care for the dinning experience the food is not that great at all . It’s not fresh just sitting in a warmer . For $16.95 for buffet the potatoes, eggs , French toast etc shouldn’t be dried out and taste that was

Very Noisy in room AC plus last room on the hallway with a wall mounted AC in the hall. I should have moved but we got it late. No Free coffee in lobby ! $3.00 per cup, sad when the room is $250.00. Will think twice next time.
