This hotel seemed nice at first, but there were issues. Arrival No one told me about amenities (coffee in the lobby, fitness center, bar/restaurant, other?). I wandered around later & found them. Parking It's across the street. There are no walkways or signs to direct guests from the garage back to the hotel after checking in. And it wasn't clear. I also wasn't told how to get out of the garage after checking out. I was at the gate trying to leave but had to back up, repark, and walk back to the front desk for instructions. Room I paid extra for a larger room. It was still tiny. The bed took up most of the room & it felt cramped. No coffee in the room. To be fair, they never said there'd be coffee, but every place I've stayed (motel, hotel, rental house, etc) always had coffee. So I made an incorrect assumption. The room looked clean, but I found panties under the desk. And I attempted to use a water glass (rinsing it thoroughly before using), but it tasted strongly of chemicals. The water pressure in the shower varied wildly depending on temperature. Oddly, the bathtub wasn't flat on the bottom, it was more of a V which hurt my ankles. On check out day, there was a strong smell of sewage coming out of the drains. Amenities Many TV channels didn't work. Machines in the gym have media/app options, but none of them worked. I was looking at the posted restaurant menu one night when a staff very rudely/impatiently said "excuse me" from behind, sighing as they passed.

Cool old hotel but it is definitely showing its age. The furnishings are a bit worn and so need replacing, the plaster is coming off in some of the rooms, but the hotel does have decent size rooms. The staff are friendly and helpful, the Driftwood Room is a tiny little bar but a good place to get food and a cocktail. Be patient, the bartender is also the server. Parking is next door and will cost you about 40 bucks for two nights.

We had a lovely room on the 8th floor with a lovely view! Breakfast was delicious. Happy Hour had great drinks and delicious snacks. Parking was right across the street. We would stay here again.

The staff at the front desk was very friendly. Our bartender at the Driftwood Room was attentive and we loved our waitress at Gracie’s for breakfast.
