Tiny rooms, but the location near the UN headquarters was what mattered to me.

Bathroom closest to my room had a stained floor, sink was unhinged to the wall, and waste basket was missing a plastic bag daily, exposing other people's filth. Room was incredibly tiny. Fixtures are worn and in terrible shape. This is the closest you can feel to being in a prison cell. Airconditioning hits whomever is sleeping straight in the face without any possibility of adjusting. The room has a constant bathroom smell. You are only given 2 pillows, and a very small towel for your body and an additional towel for your face. Provided soap is roughly the size of a quarter. Staff are very friendly, and they acknowledge the problems with the hotel but have no ability to solve issues. MAKE SURE YOU ARE BOOKING A ROOM WITH A BATHROOM, IF NOT GET READY TO LIVE THE AMERICAN HOSTEL LIFESTYLE.

Great experience! It was a great location, close to everything in Midtown. The building was older but well maintained. I would describe it as somewhere between a hostel and a hotel. I had a bunkroom with a shared bathroom. The room was surprisingly roomy for what it was. It's a basic setup, no fridge or microwave or anything, but there is a sink and air conditioning, which is all I care about. The room was clean and comfortable. I was concerned initially about sharing a bathroom, but honestly, it was cleaner than a lot of private bathrooms I've used in hotels. The cleaning staff was on top of things! It also has lights in the room to show that a bathroom is in use and there was never a problem getting a bathroom when I needed it. Some people have mentioned their room was noisy, but I was blessed because I had no problem with noise and our floor was full. My only wish was that they had a filtered water station in the lobby, but hey, you can't have everything. Would absolutely stay here again. The staff are very helpful and friendly.
