I had an amazing experience at Yotel Hotel. From the moment I arrived after my event at the JJC (the hotel is very close to JJC). I was greeted promptly and friendliness from the front desk staff. My room was on the 18th floor and the view was spectacular. The restaurant on the 4th floor was reasonable, food was delicious, the waiter made me feel at home. The restaurant was outdoors. It was a perfect night with a summer breeze. The view that was breath taken. It was decorated so nicely with lights, Tropical plants I felt like I was on an island in the Pacific. The neighborhood is safe. I highly recommend staying at YOTEL Hotel for your next New York trip. There is plenty of transportation nearby. Taxi, Ubers, Lyfts. It was fantastic!

Doormen were very helpful. They offered car assistance. The baggage robot was very convenient and helpful for our late flight out. You will need to walk a few blocks to grab a train. Or you can catch a city bus which drops off on all four corners in front of the hotel. I utilized the gym everyday and staff walked in to clean numerous times. The hotel itself was in excellent shape and extremely clean. The room itself was a lot smaller than I’m used to and the restroom does not have any divider other than glass. It’s unusual at first but phases us none. It is NYC and space is challenging. The room’s furniture appears old and could use an upgrade but it’s kept up. I wasn’t a fan of what looked dirty and very aging furniture. But, it definitely served its purpose and I wouldn’t object to staying again. We did not utilize food services but the restaurant has a wonderful setup and outdoor seating area. Do not expect space in the room. The TV is only a few feet away from the end of the bed. Only two small drawers but the TV has shelving around you can utilize. Great staff. Very friendly and helpful. I was told to go to the front desk when I tried checking in electronically. But no one was around so I walked right up. Don’t know if it was a glitch or my bad and late timing of expected arrival. But staff was great. Overall experience was great. I was impressed with how clean everything was throughout the hotel.

Convient. Don’t use the app to request for anything. We waited 2 days for a blanket. We had 3 bed and only 2 blankets for the beds so we didn’t use 1 of the beds. Paid extra for nothing! Bathroom is basic. Bunk beds are not comfortable. No mini fridges

There’s an extra charge for literally everything, whether it’s storing your bag ($3), getting access to your room early if it’s ready ($60), or coffee (you have to go to a coffee machine on the 4th floor and, again, not free). That said, my room was very comfortable and the location was where I needed it to be (near Hudson Yards) at a lower cost than other hotels in the area.

Property was in a good location but a bit warn. Ice machines were not on every floor and several times I had to go to 3 different floors because the first 2 floors I tried ran out of ice. They also charge for early checkin, late check out and storing bags. They claim to offer complimentary 2 bag storage with their “robot” but that never worked so we had to check our bags for $3 per bag.

Love that it had its own restaurants the outdoor area was amazing. The gym was nice especially with the pelotons there. The rooms are not soundproof. Wasn’t happy that I had to pay $100 before checking in early. definitely will wait next time :( :( :(

This was one of the worst and most disgusting hotels I have ever been to! On top of the $350 for the night, there was another $50 tax you pay when you sign in through the “kiosk”. Now for the room: Shower is extremely dirty and the water leaks out. There was a horrible draft from door going outside, we had to put towels down to prevent the heavy draft. There was no coffee pot (shouldn’t every hotel have a coffee pot?) OR a mini fridge. There is a small door that looked like a closet but it was a FURNACE and was filthy! Picture attached. Took a walk to get a snack from the dirty and 3/4 empty vending machine and got charged twice for Doritos that didn’t dispense. Extremely loud music continued as of 10:00PM that I have taken a video of. Very pretentious and disgusted by this hotel will never stay again

We had a terrible stay. The room had a weird smell, so we had to sleep with the windows open. With all the city noise, no one got any sleep. Our room did not have shampoo -- there were two bottles of body wash and no shampoo. Our room did not get made up after the first night. We made some requests via text messages we received (i.e. a trash can in the room) and they were all ignored. Finally realized it was a bot, and the hotel never acknowledged our requests at all. I am angry by the exorbitant rate we paid for such a lousy room and experience. They could at least reimburse us for the shampoo we had to buy at CVS across the street.

The room was so dirty and old, there were so many ants in shower. So disgusting I couldn't stay the night so I found another hotel and left. As I was leaving I needed to store my luggage so I can go eat before I change hotels and they charged $6 cash only to store the luggage which was crazy! I didn't have cash so I dealt with a robot machine which stored luggage for free. This hotel is like flying low cost, they end up charging way more for other things and you end up paying more than a regular hotel and that is if your room is not disgusting and has aunts in bathroom and shower.

The hotel rooms look good online, but they look completely different in person. The rooms were dirty and not just dust but there was black dirt on the desks and around the bed. The windows were dirty and smudgy and there was a very weird smell in the room that almost made me gag. There was also black mold around the edges of the shower. The view from the room was very nice, but the smell could not be tolerated. I spoke to the lady downstairs and told her about the smell on the room and how dirty it was. She just smiled and said I can imagine as if she was not surprised about the dirt and smell. She told me I couldn’t get a refund for my room, and offered to have the housekeeper come up and spray the room which was crazy because I’m not sure if the spray would even help the smell it was so bad. My advice would be to stay somewhere else or if you do decide to stay here. Stay at your own risk.

Loved the location of the hotel . Lobby was very welcoming & felt clean. I don’t have much complaints about the room other than the fact it’s out dated. I feel like renovations definitely need to happen to make the rooms fit the look of the lobby . My room was actually beautiful with a beautiful view but everything in it needs to be updated. Beds, bathrooms & decor. Over all stay was amazing, everything went very smooth. I was able to do an early check in. Everyone was helpful & very welcoming.

Target just up the road, great diner a 5 minute walk away (Westway Diner). A really good location in Hell's Kitchen. The not so great is the rooms are very small and your toilet is basically in the room so no privacy there... be warned!!!

Positive: It was within walking distance to Times Square and Radio City Music Hall. However the solo room was barely enough room to turn around in. It reminded me of a port room on the bottom of a cruise ship. No walking space and it was like a hole in the wall…with a window.

The hotel is close to the convention center and there are plenty of places to eat nearby on 9th Ave. I would avoid walking to convention center at night alone. Area is a bit desolate. The hotel has a nice bar. The bathroom area is at the end of the room by the window. It is enclosed by frosted glass walls and doors. (Shower and toilet on one side with glass doors, sink on the other side open to the room) It doesn't feel very private and there is no solid door to shut out toilet smells. We had 3 rooms. One with 2 beds had a curtain to give privacy in the dressing area by the sink.

The amenities, housekeeping, location and staff are 5 stars and top notch but I have to maintenance and property condition 2 stars due to outlets coming out the walls. Paint overspray and cracks in the walls. Looks like they should keep their employees and staff but absolutely fire the owners.

I really enjoyed the location of this hotel. As many of my friends live in Hells Kitchen, it was very convenient to walk around. My experience as a whole was good, but I found the room very warm. I turned the thermostat down to 65, but the room never really cooled down to that temperature and it seemed to come on and off throughout the night. The one plus was that the window did vent open, which helped because the nights are cooler still now, but that won't be the case with summer coming.

Went to purchase late check out at the front desk and while doing so another guest came down and said “the room you just checked us in has other guest belongings everywhere”. The front desk guy didn’t even apologize. He just told them I’ll get you another room. (I know, should’ve been a red flag) Then come MY late check out at 2pm($80 extra) they decide to lock me out of my room at 11am anyways. Why pay extra when you’re going to lock me out of my room where all my belongings are. THEN the rude front desk lady had the audacity to tell me “well what do you want me to do about it” NOT LOCK ME OUT OF THE ROOM I PAID EXTRA TO STAY IN LONGER. Will not stay here again..

Upon arrival , the Kiosk wasn’t working . I had a very special event and had to wait in a very long line to check in 2 hours past the time . I was late for my event and it was terribly chaotic . Once to the counter, the girl was helpful and very kind and did amazing but I’ve stayed there a lot and never experienced this . Several people were working in lobby but had no clue what was going on not bothered to give directive. At the very least you could have offered a complimentary cocktail or something . I am also still waiting for my incidental charges to fall off my account over two weeks

Stayed three nights we were out all days and put the please clean sign on our room and not once did house keeping come. Lounge and workspace area staff were rude. Rooms are dated. The high point was the reception and check in service was really good. I would not stay here again not worth the money .

My overall rating would’ve been lower if it wasn’t for the young lady from the front desk being so polite, allowing a later check out, as well as waived fee. Although, when I called prior to arriving on the premises the man I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude, as well as tried to speak over me. When I got to the Yotel, (around 4pm check-in was at 3pm) I was told by the front desk that my room wasn’t ready. I came late just incase that would happen. Although, I still had to wait. I waited til around 5:30pm then proceeded to let the front desk know I would be leaving then returning, as I had prior engagements. Around 5:49 I received a phone call that my room was ready. The room was phenomenal, they allowed me a late check out, as well as waived the cleaning fee for how long the wait was for the room. I would’ve definitely given the review a higher rating had the man on the phone had not been so rude. Hopefully, he will be admonished.

Excellent location. My only complaint was during check in one customer was upset about his reservation. All three staff members stopped to deal with this man, a member of management NEVER left the office to the left of the check in desk to provide help. The line of customers waiting to check in grew to over 15 with no one helping us. We waited over 30 minutes to check in. We tried self check in and it said we were not eligible for self check and we had to go to the check in desk. Management should have come out to handle the upset customer while the staff at the desk continued to check guests in. To have us wait in line for 30 minutes was unacceptable.

This properties always understaffed at the front desk. I waited 30 minutes for checkin. They have self service kiosks but they always seem to be closed. It really needs a renovation. Everything in the rooms seems very used.

The hotel is ideally situated, close to midtown but just far enough off Times Square to be quiet. The staff was friendly and very available for questions. The view was great, the bed was comfortable, and the room was spotlessly clean. This will be my go-to spot in New York.

I really, really wanted to like this hotel. We had been watching YouTube videos about Yotel for months and were excited to stay here. It was a little disappointing. We knew it would be small. That was not a problem. We were prepared for that and the room had enough places to store stuff if you are a light packer. There were 3 of us - me, my husband, and our teen kid, and we had plenty of space. My husband uses an electric wheelchair and we didn't have to fold it up to have enough room. The hotel is in an extremely convenient location and is priced reasonably for the location. We could either walk or hop on a nearby bus to get pretty much everywhere we needed to go. This was our first time in NYC and we were able to navigate easily. There were lots of nearby restaurants with plenty of different options for anybody. We booked the triple premium room - with a loft bed over a queen bed with the adjustable head of bed. My teen loved the loft. However, when we arrived, there was no blanket, just a sheet and pillow. We had to ask for one and got one of those rough, wool-like blankets instead of a duvet. The only day anyone came to clean the room or empty the trash was our last day there. The reading light in the loft appeared to have been pulled out of the wall. The light in the bathroom didn't work. The whole place was just a little shabby and run-down, going against the whole "living in the future" vibe they are trying to go for.

The location of this hotel was the best part. 8 min walk to subway station, and 12 min walk to Times Square. Staff was very friendly and answered all the questions I had. My room had a great view and bed was comfortable, very clean too. Housekeeping staff and services were very friendly. The only thing negative is there is no hair dryers in the room, but that wouldn't stop me from coming back!

The property had a number of restaurants within a short to moderate walking distance. The rooms were very clean and towels were replenished daily. The room has everything you would need however the room was quite small but compact and more comfortable for one person. The lobby always seemed crowded since it was quite small for a hotel of its size but the lobby staff were very helpful and friendly and the check in process was as quick and easy. Getting an uber was quick as well usually within a 5-10 minute time frame. I would definitely stay here again when I come back to NYC.

What I specifically liked is how close you are to many of the main attractions to see in downtown by walking and even if it’s a little too much of a walk, the metro transportation is close by as well!

Hair dryer was broken, and room felt pretty scuffed up with surfaces still a bit dirty like the toilet boil and floors. Room was quite small, but sheets and towels were clean. View of city was nice. Breakfast was on par for a lower quality hotel buffet breakfast. I didn't realize there were so many hidden fees, so I would have picked a slightly more expensive hotel if I had known that.

New paint job in the room would be great. The windowsill looked as if it hasn’t been swiped in years. The bathroom floor had rust around the tiles. For the price of breakfast there should be a larger selection. I was Not satisfied with the bfast options. All in all I don’t think I’ll return. I could have stepped outside and purchase an enjoyable bfast for $23. I asked the front desk for complimentary water upon my check in at 1:30am and was told I can purchase using the vending machine on the 4th floor. Quite disappointing after a long day of traveling.

Positive points: It´s a comfy place and the location is good. The light sistem is cool and you can control the temperature. Points to improve: Breakfast could be more varied. It´s the same thing every day. My room needs a little maintenamce and the smart tv doesn´t work well because is one of those old ones and they don´t accept new phones.
