What guests think

Ongoing renovations and facility hiccups appear in multiple reviews, including lobby and gym work, occasional elevator outages, a few pool cleanliness complaints, and tight parking with limited handicap spaces. Room experiences vary: some find beds exceptionally comfy while others report very firm or soft mattresses, noticeable highway noise in rooms facing I-20, and a few dated furnishings or mismatched layouts. A practical choice for short stays.

The parking at this facility is not very friendly to the handicapped. There are only 2 handicap spots and hardly any alternative spots close to the door.

Parking is pretty tight in some areas but that is the only gripe I have. The room requested was on par with expectations as far as cleanliness and comfortability. The facilities are what you would expect as far as essentials (mini fridge, microwave, 32" inch TV with Netflix, etc.). Bathroom was stocked well with soaps and blow dryer. Receptionist was speedy and professional (didn't get her name but should have).

The sheets and pillow cases were dirty and even found some woman’s hair on the pillow cases. They had about 20-30 teenagers at the pool and in the lobby and in the halls and in the parking lot gathered up and It wasn’t safe to stay here even though I did.

My family and I were overall comfortable with our stay. I only took one star away due to the mildew in the bathroom. I feel that as housekeeping is processing the rooms to prepare for the next guest, an overall inspection of the condition of the room should take place to include checking for this. We did spray a bit of bleach and water on it but it really needs some attention. The staff were amazing.

The property was a little hard to turn into, you drive past the hotel and enter around the back. Not the most desirable area since it’s right near the highway, but they did provide ear plugs. The room wasn’t necessarily dirty, but it was unclean. There was a quarter under the bedskirt and crumbs on the side/behind the bed. Lines and towels were clean, no bugs or any major concerns but it was dusty around the microwave, little things like that. Clearly going through renovations, so we were forgiving. Overall good for one night.

The hotel is currently being renovated, so some of this might not be accurate after my review. There were a couple areas in our bathroom that needed it. The front desk was very friendly. The room itself was clean and there was no strange odor. Always grateful when hotels offer a non-dairy alternative, so thank you! However, the bed was SO firm that I barely slept. Some people like firm beds, but that’s not me. We only stayed one night then traveled to another Fairfield in TX for a tournament and that bed wasn’t as firm (thankfully), so it must vary. The renovation started around 9am in the rooms beside us. We were already up, so this wasn’t a problem, but I’d request to not be near this if you’re sensitive to noises. This isn’t a review to the hotel, but possibly helpful to travelers. Make sure you turn into the hotel and not at the light back onto the highway or you have to drive additional 15 minutes. Lol. This mattered a lot to us because we’d already been in the car for 12 hours. Overall, I’d recommend it here if you don’t mind firm beds. :)

Everything with the hotel was good including the breakfast. My one complaint is we had a room next to the highway and the noise is not blocked out very well. Of course once you’re asleep it doesn’t bother you but if a light sleeper don’t get a room next to the highway
