Best Western Plus Marquette Hotel & Suites

What guests think

At Best Western Plus Marquette Hotel & Suites, travelers consistently highlight a new, clean, modern property and a well-liked hot breakfast, offering a convenient base near downtown Marquette, NMU, and the airport.

Guests enjoy the warm pool and find the gym tidy, while convenient EV chargers are available, though some were surprised by idle fees after charging. Rooms feel modern and spacious, but several note bathroom quirks such as sliding door privacy gaps and floor drainage that lets water spread. Service is widely praised for friendliness and smooth check-in, with isolated issues like an early housekeeping entry and a slow follow-up on a fridge problem. Great, brand new hotel. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly. No hot tub, but the pool was very warm, so that made up for it. The only thing I didn’t like was the bathroom doors in the room. They are barn style sliding doors, which leave a small gap where anyone can see through on either side.

Nice new hotel. Liked that our family of 6 could be in one room. Breakfast good. Be wary of the car chargers, they charge idle fees and I had to pay $140 in idle fees over 4 days.

We booked here because of the electric car charger. It was a very nice hotel with brand new was pretty expensive. We did though get a idling fee of $68 after our charge was complete that we weren’t aware of my fault for not checking. It said it was gonna notify me when it was completed and it did not but overall was a nice place.

The beds were terrible to sleep on. Too hard of a mattress and too high to get into. I have long legs and I had to jump up in orderto get into bed. The mini refrigerator was not working. I went to the front desk to inform them and was told a circuit breaker may have popped. They would check into it. Nobody came to inform if it was workingand to check on the refrigerator. Apparently, it turned up on highest setting and two of my drinks in the refrigerator exploded after freezing and when I entered the room, the liquid was all over the floor in front of the refrigerator to the door. Ally came and cleaned the inside of the refrigerator and tbe floor. When I checked out, the front desk person said everyone was complaining about the beds. For the price I had to pay per night, it was not worth it. The chairs in the room also were not comfortable and having a rectangle table with plug-ins made it where I could not use it for company in my room. A round table with chairs would be better to play games or eat on. I would never stay again. The full breakfast, the exercise room and pool were great.

Lovely newer facility close to any needed food entertainment and travel needs. Clean friendly and fully maintained. Even the workout area was neat as a pin. My only wish is that the hot water container at breakfast never be used for coffee. No matter where I go they reuse coffee thermoses and my tea is awful because it tastes like coffee. Please try to keep the water container strictly for water

Inside room light switching setup was poorly designed. When in bed, each reading headlamp should have its own switch. Foolishly the room had one switch for both lamps, AND one person had to get out of bed to turn BOTH lights off. Plus, at breakfast, don’t have the Fox News MAGA propaganda channel on! Just as the Trumpers wouldn’t want the MSNBC/DNC channel on.

I enjoyed the stay so much until the last 45 minutes. I selected the prompt before checkout to inform you when I was checking out - 11am as stated. That was not followed and housekeeping welcomed themselves into my room - entered the doorway before I made it to the door and pushed it shut. I was not clothed all the way and certainly did not expect a stranger to walk into my room at 10:15am.
