Our room was very good; we were upgraded on arrival to a pool room for my partner's 60th birthday trip. The food was generally good, but on occasion it could be slightly cold. Breakfast was the highlight of the day, with a wide-ranging buffet, which was a great start to the day. All drinks in the all-inclusive package were very good quality. The hotel was quaint/quirky with a great vibe and full of history. We loved that it was only 24 rooms, so we got to know most people at the hotel, which made for a great time socially. The hotel team was generally good; Mary and Terry were great, and Elsie was a standout Star of the team, always making you feel welcome and going that extra mile to ensure we all felt at ease and had a good time. The hotel location was wonderful, a few hundred yards from Pebbles and Carlisle beaches, with local bus stops nearby and only a half-hour walk to Bridgetown. Overall, a lovely hotel with good people and a lovely island made this a special trip.

Beautiful hotel. Our room was right by the pool. Very nice. Staff was not helpful at all. They couldn’t check us in when we arrived because WiFi was down. Staff gave no instructions on anything. They handed us a paper with meal times. No assistance with anything. We had never traveled to Barbados and thought perhaps the check in staff would help us navigate to some excursions. They also weren’t friendly. Never smiled. Just a smile back would have been something and made us feel more comfortable. The food was amazing! Never had a bad meal. Enjoyed the bar and rum tasting they offered. We like the family like feel with other guests as the hotel was not full.

The drinks were so good that I never made it for breakfast. Lol! The lunch and dinner were good though. This resort is for more of an older crowd, and everyone there besides me was retired. I enjoyed my stay there, the staff is friendly and helpful, the bartender Trey is hilarious and entertaining, and the manager is very knowledgeable and easy to talk to.
