Location was good for easy access to all sites in city. Rooms need a makeover- very dark- needs to be brighter. Bed was comfortable. Need a 2 nd chair by window . Amenities were lacking. Need to have a rooftop deck or high floor lounge. Pool was small. Gym was good. Buffet was good and service excellent. Cost of drinks too high. See Hyatt in Denver for a good reference.

Great hotel. Quickly upgraded as our room wasn’t ready. Used the pool and gym, both very good. We ate at the hotel and food and service were excellent. We enjoyed a complimentary bowl of chowder, which was great. Would definitely stay at a Hyatt again.

The bed was super comfy. The fridge and coffee maker were appreciated. Parking is attached to the hotel if you select self park (currently $41/day). We could hear street noise 9 floors up but it eventually quieted down late at night. The indoor pool would have been nice during the brutally hot July visit but it isn’t monitored so the kids jumping/diving/splashing and overall dominating it kept us from utilizing it except for the 10 minutes we went once. The location was Ok but if you want to enjoy the historical sites, book something closer to Faneuil Hall. We averaged 9-10 miles of walking daily. I expected the cleanliness to be better for a 4 star hotel. There were pieces of cellophane/plastic on the carpet in a few places. I opened the toiletry container to see what was in it and a huge, long black hair popped out of it-gross. There are pre-filled bottles of soap, hand cream, shampoo, etc. The hand cream bottle mounted to the wall had hardened drips of cream down the front of the bottle-gross. In the four days and three nights we stayed, our room wasn’t serviced once. We’d leave early in the morning and return around 4pm and no one had visited to make the bed, restock the cups, towels, take out the trash/recycling. Finally, check-in is 4pm. We went to check-in at 3:47 pm and they told us to come back. They are real sticklers to the 4pm check-in time. Oh, concierge service varied greatly depending upon who was working.

Overall, the stat was fine but the hotel was doing some renovations and I wish we would have known this before booking. The restaurant and bar were in conference rooms instead of their normal location. The pool was unavailable altogether, which was disappointing. The room was clean but showing signs of wear.

Great location. We went to Boston for the marathon. It would have been great if the hotel had a pool. My granddaughters were disappointed not having a pool. Although the hotel was in a great location we might look elsewhere for other amenities.

I for sure would have chosen a different place because the main thing my life wanted was to swim. it would've been nice to know this in advance, but alas we received a very polite apology. also, a $35 "destination fee" charged to my card ... what is that? was the hundreds of dollars I paid for a hotel room not enough?

The pool was not available which was not good. Sounds like it has been closed since COVID. The place needs to be remodeled. Got my final bill and I have a Destination fee of 30.00 each day even though the reservation was paid in full a month and a half ago. We were told we would receive a 10.00 credit if we charged our meal to our room at the restaurant in the hotel. There was not a credit applied to my final bill.

Stayed 3 nights on a high floor (18th) away from the elevators which should have made the room quiet. However, it had an adjoining door and thin walls so we could hear the conversations in the rooms either side. We were woken 2 hours earlier than needed each morning. The door on the cupboard housing the fridge was hanging off which made access awkward. The housekeeping was very thorough and left short handwritten notes wishing us a nice day. Bed comfortable, plenty of towels and all usual amenities in the room. The concierge (Stephan) is very professional. Gave us a map each day with clear guidance on where to visit. Also provided an umbrella when the usual supply was empty during torrential storms. Hotel is centrally located for walking to North End, Back Bay, HarbourFront and start of Freedom Trail. Checkout was fast and simple via a call from the room and receipt arrived immediately via email. Dropped key in box on exit.

Location was really great! It was in the heart of the main attractions. Getting to your rooms is a little inconvenient. A ramp down, and then two elevators to get to the rooms. Walls are thin so unfortunately the neighbor speaking loudly kept us up. at 1:30

The Pros: The location is great, and it is walkable to most of Boston, including restaurants, transportation, etc. The friendly and helpful staff, cleanliness, and value for the rate are also great. Cons: Add $35 to any price you see for this hotel since they tack that on, per night. The WIFI did not work well enough to use, for me. I appreciated that a manager called me and they left a message to follow up, but nothing worked for either device. My screens would time out. I talked to the front desk, was referred to a tech number which was a recording that hung up on me, was given a special sign-in that didn't help, and was given premium wifi for free, but I could not find a page to sign in using it. I also tried different browsers, cleared my cache, "forgot" the wifi, restarted my computer and phone, etc. I had to hotspot from my phone to work. I I have a down allergy so I took the pillowcase off to see if it was down. I was disgusted with this pillow, which was so old that I couldn't even read the label. Every morning I woke up with itchy bloodshot eyes so I guess they are down?

The hotel was located in a very walkable area with easy access to transportation. The check in staff was awesome! Super friendly and personable. The breakfast buffet was good, but the price was ridiculous. Our room rate included the buffet, but I was still given a bill and was shocked at the price. $100 for three people. Absolutely not worth it. They did take it off my final bill because it was built into the rate. The hotel was quiet, but the walls are thin. The noise from outside (mostly sirens) was so loud I thought our windows were open (8th floor). The WiFi was atrocious. Help for that was a third party somewhere else in the world and it was not helpful at all. I was never able to access wifi on any of my devices, which was a bummer because I needed to work. For the price, this should not be an issue OR giving me access to one of the other Hyatt connections which were password protected would have been nice, but they wouldn’t.

There was absolutely no comfort worthy of the Hyatt Regency brand. The water pressure was so low that taking a shower took us at least 15 minutes. There was no shower cabin, only a shower curtain. The reception staff was incredibly unfriendly. Even though we arrived at 2:35 p.m., they told us our room was not ready and demanded an extra $10 per day instead, when it would have been more appropriate to offer us an upgrade. In addition, the rooms were very small.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency in Boston. Great location and easy Hop on/Hop off tour bus stops very close to the hotel. Great shopping area and lots of good restaurants. Willie(Mr. Wonderful) and Anthony at the concierge service desk were both awesome. They were so welcoming and friendly from the moment we arrived until we left, even helping us get our taxi on departing day. They helped us plan most of our daily outings, giving us great suggestions. We will definitely stay there the next time we visit Boston.

We flew in on a red eye, arrived to the hotel at 0730. Andrew was able to get us into a room early with no extra charge, at around 0900. The beds were comfortable, room clean, and quiet. AC good. Bathroom has included shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, and a BaByliss blow dryer- works good, I forgot mine. The entire stay were were treated like royalty, they provided us with complimentary snacks while we watched the baseball game in the lobby, they made phone calls to numerous neighborhood bars to see who was playing the game and was child friendly. Location was great, easy to walk places and easy to get an uber. Hotel is centrally located, about 2 miles from everything. We easily walked the entire freedom trail from our hotel, walked to the seaport district, Fenway, Boston common, cheers bar. The pool is indoor and was refreshing on hot days. The gym was well equipped for a vacation work out. The breakfast buffet had many choices, made-to-order omelet station, yogurt parfaits, cereal, pastries, pancakes made-to-order, fruit, etc. the breakfast staff was awesome also! We would absolutely stay here again based upon amenities, location, cleanliness, and the friendly staff.

Was running the sink and the bathtub backed up. After 3 hours, maintenance shows and can’t fix it. Gave us a different room. Didn’t offer a free night, meal, etc. because we used a 3rd party site to book (hotels.com). Staff was overall friendly but that still p’d me off

From check in to check out we had an amazing weekend in Boston. Anthony the concierge downstairs was so helpful, friendly and really made our stay extra special. We got an upgrade on our room to a one bedroom suite which was so nice. Hotel location is so centrally located we could walk anywhere.

I stayed at this hotel last week and, unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. While the location was convenient and the hotel itself was fairly average, the front desk service was underwhelming. The staff were neither accommodating nor friendly (not the parking staff), and I felt that I was not treated with the care and respect a guest should expect. To make matters worse, I was charged unexpected extra fees that were not clearly disclosed upfront, adding unnecessary frustration to my stay. Overall, this poor experience put a damper on my trip, and I would not recommend this hotel. I will not be returning.

Hyatt Regency on Ave De Lafayette was a perfect spot to walk to Boston Common and a few popular historical spots. It is not too far from Faneuil Hall Marketplace. The only disappointment is that a lot of the small restaurants close early nearby or have bad ratings. Also, I didn't know till our last day that there is a market nearby so would have been good info to know if we just wanted some snacks instead of going to the 7-eleven nearby which had some shady people hanging around. All in all, Michael, at the Hyatt was more than helpful and accommodated for the room not being ready. Everyone was very nice. I'd come again and stay here!

Great experience. Excellent service, food was outstanding (even though, they were working on a new space) and the free clam chowder was fantastic. Room was a good size, but 2 things they could work on: towels were a bit stiff and not enough towel racks in the bathroom. Great location to get to the subway.

The building is OK, rooms are spacious. The third day at the buffet I saw a mouse in the middle of the dining area. I informed the waiter who did not seem surprised and did nothing to find the mouse. The hotel just offered me a room service snack bowl free of charge. The hotel is at the Chinese neighborhood, which is extremely dirty.
