What guests think

At Tropicana Inn and Suites, travellers praise the unbeatable walk-to-Disneyland location across the street and generally friendly service, while describing the property as a simple, older motel-style stay with clean, comfortable rooms that suit park-focused visits.

Guests like the heated pool and hot tub, on-site convenience store, and laundry, but parking is a common pain point with limited self-parking, reliance on valet, and extra fees for some options. Cleanliness is often praised, though some report musty odors, occasional pests, stained linens, and noise from thin walls or upstairs rooms. Overall, expect a straightforward stay focused on location and convenience rather than extras.

This facility was the best if you are visiting Disney. It has lot of restaurants nearby, a small store within that operates until midnight and opens at 6am. it also has a laundry unit within as well. Very clean facility, walking distance to Disney. We went to park at 8 am and came back from the park around 1pm and rested and head back around 6pm till closing. very nice to be near the park so we can escape the afternoon heat and recharge.

Overall, a nice place to stay on a budget. Just cross the street and you're at Disneyland. Quiet at night time. Nice size clean heated pool and spa. Room and bathroom were clean, beds comfortable. A few standard chain restaurants within walking distance and a couple local ones also. The only thing we didn't like is you're almost forced to use valet parking, as they block off about 1/2 the lot for valet only. There is no extra fee, but obviously most of us would still tip. We circled once and there were probably 15+ open spots blocked for valet, and no self parking spots. Honestly, when you stay at a hotel of this style, with most rooms open directly to the parking lot, who would expect valet? The next day I figured out they are also selling day parking spaces to nonguest. Just more of a hassle. Especially if your room is towards the back, were you'd normally park close to you room and unload you car, now you have to carry or load a luggage cart and drag you belongings from the front of the hotel.

We stayed in an ADA king for 7 nights in may. The room was clean and spacious. Had a 4 cup drip coffee maker, microwave and mini fridge. Lots of plugs and a newer flatscreen tv. The beds were ok a little firm for my liking but were in good shape. Housekeeping on every 3rd day I believe, garbage and towels daily. Our shower was draining slow and the handyman was there withing 30 minutes at 8pm to unclog it for us Little noise as people walked by but its motel style so thats expected. Laundry was $3 wash and $3 dry and worked well Pool was super clean and heated , hot tub was spacious and nice... both were salt water Cove market had all the basics Walk was about 6 minutes to security including waiting for the cross walk We were in an ADA room due to needing room for a scooter and the walk in shower. I was able.to park the scooter in the room no problem. The shower had a large overhead shower head as well as a hand held and a flip down bench. Lots of grab bars and it was huge and drained so the floor in the bathroom didnt get wet. There is a nice uber pick up area thats very easy to find and there is a bench to sit on while you wait Our stay was lovely and we highly recommend !

I paid to park for our stay but they didn’t have enough parking spots. They sell their spots to people going to Disneyland for $50, so most of the spots have cones blocking them. I finally found a parking spot late at night near the front of the property that didn't have a cone. They woke me up at 7am to tell me to move my car because that spot was reserved for their employees. They were incredibly rude so I went to the front desk. The person I spoke to apologized and said they have a contract with an outside company for parking. She said she would have the hotel manager contact me, but he never did. Also, they only have elevators on one side of the building. So if you're on the 2nd floor on the opposite side, and you need to use the elevator, you will have to walk all the way around the building which isn't easy. It's a long walk around. The room was very small for the price. They charged us $341a night which is ridiculous. At best, for what you get, it's worth no more than $99, even in a high tourism area.

Staff was great. Parking is an issue. You are required to pay $22 a night amd if they're not spots then you have to pay an additional $25 a night. So essentially... parking is $47 a night. This is not fair to the consumer .

The Tropicana never disappoints. It is a clean room. It is fairly updated and very comfortable. The walls are not paper thin. The bathroom is spacious. The beds are spacious enough for two people. The air conditioner works fine. It’s a little loud, but it’s a window AC. so that’s expected. The fridge is great. The TV is great. The service is great. The housekeeping team is very helpful and keeps the property clean. The pool area is great!

Excellent location for Disneyland, just over the road and a leisurely ten minute walk to be in one of the parks. Startled by a roach just after getting to the room on day one, but after removing it no further issues - might have come in after we opened the balcony door.

I've been staying at this hotel for years when i visit Disneyland. I don't know what happened within the past few months. Management really needs to step in and make changes. Our room has stains on the towels and sheets. We had ants on the nightstand and bed. The room was very clean and smelled like bleach. Management needs to have the staff toss any sheets or towels that have permanent stains and have a exterminator visit the property. The location is perfect and the staff was very friendly which is why I didnt give one star.

I had read a bad review a couple of weeks before our stay. The review was about bed bugs. I decided to stay with our booking hoping that we wouldn’t have an issue with that. I did not see any bed bugs. But, our room smelled horrible of mildew/ mold. Upon our arrival we were in our room for 10 minutes and my asthma and alley started to act up. I went to the receptionist to hopefully have a room change due to the my reactions. Unfortunately the hotel was sold out and they Cousy accommodate us to a different room. We slept with our window open and fan. Me and our boys would wake up blood shut eyes had to take allergy medication to help. Hotel was a walking distance to Disney, but I will not stay here any more. Picture was taken last day of our stay. I don’t know what it is. Hopefully nothing crawled in any of our belongings.

The stay started great, straightforward and uneventful. The only housekeeping is trash and towels, but we don’t need the bed made or the room tidied up. We definitely appreciate the towel refreshes a lot more. The rooms aren’t the most soundproof so you can hear the room next door, but no one is too loud so that’s ok too. The thing that makes this a poor rating is we found a dying, still but legs wiggling, cockroach in our room on the last morning. We had to call the front desk three times before they came to take care of it, which was frustrating given we also had a child that we were trying to keep away. And when we checked out there was no mention of it, no apology of any sorts from the front desk. When we return home we’ll be washing and wiping down everything thoroughly. Also we realized that the bedding was ripped the last morning.

I wouldn’t want to stay if we were hanging around the hotel as the amenities are quite basic but it served a purpose and we had a brilliant time overall.

You can’t beat the location and kitchens in room. The room was clean and the valet and front desk staff were super friendly. My biggest complaint is the beds and pillows. Well for me it was a very nice place, the rooms were clean and most of the staff were great. Until it came to the guy who checked me in, upon check in i paid cash for my parking, which he took my money and then ran my credit card when i went over to the park. When i got back i asked the front desk for help, which supposedly they asked the manager to review the footage, and they said the manager did just that but saw no cash transaction take place. Unfortunately for myself i didnt grab a recipt!!! Big mistake. So without recipt and the lie of not seeing any cash payment i was denied any compensation. The money really isnt that big of a deal to me, its the lack of honesty between the staff and management. The never even got the manager for me, it was probably him that took the measly 52 dollars for the parking. Watch your accounts or make sure you get a recipt, dirty practices there.

The property is clean and the beds are comfortable which makes for a great stay. There is parking available at a reasonable price and the offer valet, included in the parking price. The rooms stayed a tad hot and humid with the people in the bed near the AC unit being blast by the air while the people in the bed further away remained warm.
