Extended Stay America Suites - Fremont - Newark

I have a disability knee problem. They elevated been broke for three weeks. No one has fixed it so I have to move to where I can find the elevator instead of stepping up three flights of stairs.

Check in was quick and easy. 2 things u would ask is that 1) indicate what amenities are not working at the moment (pool leak) 2) indicate on the website that there is a $100 deposit that you get back when you check out on top of the hotel rate

The keys wouldn't work in the outside doors, even when we got new ones 3 times. The shower sprayed all over and needed repaired. No stopper, so I couldn't take a bath. No coffee creamer for the breakfast that was non existent. No shampoo, etc unless you request it. Would like some of my money back. This is our "30th" wedding anniversary trip.

No maid service unless you requested. And no garbage can from my room. Entry into building at night. Difficult due to card reader not working.

First off, the pool was closed - booked for pool and there was no notice before booking. There is a $100 card only deposit, not noted before booking. The buildings don't lock, the hallways reek! The rooms are absolute bare bones. No shampoo, soap, no phone, AC doesnt work (110 degrees today), no ice machine. Beds are uncomfortable, theres a hole in the floor that gives under weight. Room pics are not what we were given.

I upgraded my room to a larger room , up on entering my room I was missing my bed sheets and blankets. I was told I had to wait until 10:30,pm to get my sh yes and blankets . I had to wake up at 3 am to go to work, therefore this was a huge inconvenience to me because I can not sleep on a bed that was missing my sheets and beds. Got a call from the front desk at 11 pm , trekking me I can come pick up my sheets and blankets. In addition when I selected this hotel and it says free breakfast. I have been staying at this hotel since April 28,2023 up to May 5th and not one time any type of breakfast has been servers or offered ,was told breakfast is available from 6:30 am to 9 am. I showed up at 7 am each day , no breakfast. When I checked in was not told the procedure to get house keeping, trash disposal, 2 of the guest services staff was always rude to me when I ask a specific questions. Need to purchase something from the lobby vending machine , needs change for a 10 dollar bill,.went to the front desk , was told they do not carry cash, , my suggestion you should put a change machine next to the vending machines. Then ppl can get change for the vending machine and the laundry machines. I selected this particular location because it said fitness on site. I don’t consider having 4 fitness bikes a fitness facility. I’m very, very,,disappointed in this extended stay. It’s hard for me to find very little positives to say, so much negative to say. Sum it up , regret

Lady front desk 3PM july 31 with green eyes super rude she was like ur room not ready n i don't have room 4 u u need 2 wait 45 minutes people complaining n switching rooms Poeple complaining about toilet paper forks door lock not opennings cards key not working gym closed pool closed .. this place is disastrous worst of the worst by far young kid in morning n young lady too on August 1st were totaly super nice polite . But that lady needs to go Room on top of mine jumping all night all morning

The price and location are good. The deluxe studio was big and comfortable. However no room cleaning service provided. And no breakfast during the stay of a few days and the receptionist said the breakfast delivery service vendor couldn’t deliver the foods for the entire week. Very strange. But price was supposed to include breakfast. Also the pool is closed this summer.

The property is well landscaped. Lots of greenary. Its peaceful plus its 5 minutes away from my work. The negative part isvthe staff can be rude. In the room, they say they will change the sheets every 14 days. I find that unsanitary therefore I changed my own sheets and picked up my own towels. As far as their breakfast goes, its non-existent. Two bite muffins, instant oatmeal and a strawberry nutrigrain. No yogurt, no milk, no cereal.. They have coffee but never make enough for their tenants. The run out of coffee cups and takevtheir time to replenish them. It seems like whatever minimally they can get by with, thats what they do. The pool...Its out of commussion. Unfortunately nobody tell yout when making your reservations. They have washers and dryers and when Ive gone, its never crowded. The only benefit I get from staying there is I can make it to work in 2 minutes if I hit all the lights green.

From the 1st day I started living here to the present, Ive had nothing but problems with them. When someone behind the desk asks you "what do you want" which is rude. I have requested maid service after 8 days to which I was informed they only change the linens on day 14. Its over 14 days and nobody but me has changed the sheets, vacumned or swept. When I asked for this service theyclaimed they would put me on their list the following day but the room was never cleaned by the hotel. On fact when I asked for them, the front desk gave me the wrong size. Im not in the main building where its not so convenient. In the room, theres a notice that if you want dishes to call the front desk and they will bring them to you. I called and was told they dont do that anymore. They have a pool which is green and not useable. Its closed but nowhere on thw booking info does it me tion the pool being closed. I went to the front desk to get another green tag so my car wont be towed and they dont have a record of me having a car. I have personal plates and its all letters but they kept asking me if I was sure that was the license number because it didnt look right. I asked if there was an ice machine. No ice machine. There is an ice cube tray in the freezer for you to use. Ive never been at a hotel who didnt have an ice machine. Other ESAs have ice machines...this one doesnt.

Trash around the property.

The hallways smelled like dirty pet urine, very disgusting and disappointed. We couldn't sleep the first night because of the awful smells and pet dogs barking at the next door guests rooms. We cancelled our reservation for the second night and got our refund back, would never recommend this hotel.

*****Warning***** Found roaches in room 403 and spiders. Needs better up keep. The entry door to building B wouldn’t open then went around to the main entrance found the doors wide open what the purpose of having to use your card keys to get in if the doors are open to the property for anybody to get in. The Beds were neatly made and clean but the roaches over shadow any good comments of the unit or property. I have pictures of the roaches in my room if you would like me to send them to you. Will never stay here again or recommend it to anybody else. I’m glad I didn’t notice them roaches on my first night of my 2 day stay. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough. 👎

Stayed 2 nights there and both days I saw cockroaches over the stove and in the bathroom. So disgusting wouldn’t stay here again.

Cleanliness is one of key area need to be worked on specially on common areas like hallways ,front of building . There are flies buzzing in front door of Bldg A in day time . Carpet in hallways has strong smell . Room I stayed was good and clean . It has vinyl flooring . Bed was cozy . Bathroom was clean .

Horrible odor in room. Rest of hotel reeked of weed, but the room had a rotten food smell... which is worse. Bathroom wasnt cleaned . Sink was full of scum and black hairs. Microwave didnt work. Fridge made a loud tapping noise. Window blinks were broken. Previous tennants' trash filled the room. Overall a hellish nightmare... but the front desk lady was pleasant

Disgusting. Dirty socks in my room when I came in. Hair on the kitchen counter.

The room had spider webs, there were bed bugs on the sheets and the room was FULL OF DUST. I am still waiting for my refund.

Refrigerator and bathroom fan noise entire night and made it impossible to sleep.

Easy check in, clean, spacious and quiet room.

One big reason to stay there was the kitchen. Most of the buttons on the microwave did not work so cooking was difficult. They were not able to replace it. Didn't offer a room with a functioning unit. The room looked like it hadn't been used in a long time and no touch up cleaning. The room was on the first floor and all the chatter in the hallways and reception area came through the door. The mouse that can out from under the kitchen sink was an unwelcome surprise.

Overall, the place was extremely blah. The heater in the room didn't work. No shampoo in the bathroom and it was a long walk to the front desk to get some. OK for a quick overnight, but that's about it. Best if you bring an extra blanket for yourself as the heater in the room did not work, would only blow cold air.

The amazing customer service from the staff makes all the difference. I stay here because of the distance to my office and the fair price, but keep coming back due to the service I get. Most extended stays have a similar layout and quality. Again, it’s all about the staff. The manager is amazing and accommodating and Emily from the front desk makes everyone feel welcome and always greets with a smile :) Would highly recommend this location

Hopeless people right across the street. The front desk person was very, very, very rude. She talk but never listens, as soon as i spoke she talked over me. I was never able to tell her that someone was trying to get in my room, they finally left, but if they came back I was going to call the police. I questioned the room i was in, she told me 7 times, "thats what you paid for". Screaming she doesn't talk she screams. I told her let me talk,"no i know what you want" my husband is in the hospital there and will be for at least another week. I found another hotel that was peaceful, pleasant, without a KAREN At the desk. Thank you

Staff is very kind! This was a very good base for us when my partner had a surgery at a nearby hospital.

Not happy with clerk s lack of attention and giving us the wrong room

I had no hot water for a shower, I let the desk know but nothing happend i was told that the manager would contact me and did not, I still had to pay for price, as well as the grap and go there was nothing there I had to let the front desk know. Overall, I probably will not stay at an Extended Stay America Suites again.

The check in clerks were very nice!

It was nice clean and staff very pleasant. Lots of food options in the area and a selection of food at the front desk area.

I checked in late Tuesday night and checked out at 4am the following day, even though check out was at 11am. I couldn't get any sleep because of how uncomfortable and unsafe I felt throughout the night. It was very loud outside in the parking lot.Sounds of people shouting, drunk loud noise and homeless individuals lingering around the hotel. The bathtub was filfty and had cigarette bud reside on the floor. The only pleasant thing about this stay was the check in process. I will not be returning to this establishment.

The hallway smelled weird/awful. A smiley face was drawn on the ceiling in red. A drunk/high man yelling and moving aggressively in the parking lot. Felt very unsafe.

You get what you pay for. First our room has a strong foul stinky odor from Pets. All furniture was chewed on. Cushion from couch missing and bed lights and tv didnt work. And a neighbor kept blasting the entire vibratingninto our room. Best part, was checkingnoit and leaving. But theres a Starbucks across the street if you can get pass the homeless encampment

Convenient to stores and restaurants

I stayed here two nights each morning I woke up to roaches being in shower. Building B has a weird smell and it’s even worse once you enter your own room. Don’t expect a lot for the breakfast. Overall not a good play to stay

poor maintenance (place was filthy) throughout the entire building. The shower wasn’t working. Bedsheets smelled like dirty. There may have been some kind of bed bugs ‘cause I was ver itchy. And they run out of “breakfast”( coffee and muffins) @ 8:00 Definitely not going back .

This property was very clean in a safe area parking was easily accessible. The bed was comfortable towels and linens were provided. The negative was a misrepresentation of breakfast being offered when I book hotels often if breakfast is included, it is a definite plus and I will choose those hotels over those that don’t provide breakfast, but in this case, I did choose this hotel because breakfast was included, but there was no breakfast included, what they had was something called grab and go breakfast . This included a packet of oatmeal which you added hot water to and coffee. There was no oatmeal and although coffee was available, there were no cups for you to put the coffee into, when I asked the front desk They told me they had run out of oatmeal packets and had a couple of granola bars if I wanted a granola bar. Coffee cups were provided with the cups used for the oatmeal. If I had known this was what meant I would not have chosen this hotel.

There was absolutely nothing in the room. Had to ask for toilet paper and go pick up dishes in the lobby. Worst part is they advertised free continental breakfast but there was nothing other than coffeee.. attendant said there was an order that would arrive sometime in April. If you know you have no food and a shipment arriving in weeks then don’t advertise it and TELL guests when they arrive instead of having us believe we are getting what we paid for. I even asked when I checked in what I could expect and the times but was told nothing.
