It’s a cute, clean hotel and the air conditioning is quiet and works well. There are basically no amenities, though. I couldn’t even get a wine glass for my room, even though there is a bar downstairs. They offered me a paper cup. No robes, or q tips either… basically just a bar of soap. It worked fine for what we needed but it definitely doesn’t feel luxurious. And the $10 breakfast vouchers to use at the cafe downstairs are nice but the only gluten free options were a tiny muffin or a macaron, which was disappointing. The elevators are also extremely small and slow. They fit two people comfortably, anything more than that is awkward.

Comfortable bed in VERY small room, especially for the high price. Bathroom nice with an excellent shower. Housekeeping only came once during our three night stay, which was a surprise. Lots of noise from hallway as the many nearby doors opened and closed many times. Liked the bar and bakery discount tickets, but the hotel was so packed that the bakery line was too long to wait for coffee a couple mornings. Location is excellent—many good dining options right on the block and subway is a block away.

This is our first time staying at Belleclaire. We were very impressed with the hotel. The rooms were clean and quiet and enough space to move around easily. We liked the bakery in the hotel but didn't get a chance to go the bar (next time). For an old hotel, it is in great shape, everything is painted well, and looks well cared for. My only real con is that there is no place for personal toiletries in the bathroom. A shelf of some kind would help in this case. We will be back again as we are regular visitors to the Upper West Side. Look forward to staying here again. Thanks to the staff for all their help they gave us in arriving and leaving. It is a beautiful hotel. You should be proud.

Everyone at the front desk was so helpful, the property was beautiful and in a great location so we had easy access to the subway. Only issue was the AC in our room wasn’t working properly and it was a heat wave that week. But the front desk brought us a box fan to use which helped!
