After an uncomfortable night at another hotel, we checked out early and found refuge at the Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Waxahachie—and what a wonderful experience it turned out to be! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt bright and welcoming. The summer-themed decorations and complimentary fruit punch instantly lifted our spirits. Maya at the front desk was an absolute gem—kind, efficient, and truly made us feel at home. We were given a first-floor room with a perfect view of the pool and conveniently located next to the gym. Though we were initially nervous about potential noise, we slept like babies. Even with the pool bustling, the room was peaceful and quiet. We had a chance to enjoy the pool ourselves, and the entire environment—guests and staff alike—was friendly and positive. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, and everything felt clean, safe, and thoughtfully run. The General Manager clearly sets a high standard for hospitality, and it shows. This will definitely be our go-to hotel anytime we’re in Waxahachie. Highly recommend!

No complaints except our tv kept saying “no signal.” Staff was gracious enough to fix it for us but we didn’t want to ask them again after we turned it off. We are on vacation and shouldn’t be in the room watching tv anyway. We would stay there again without hesitation.

Master at Holiday Inn was very good. I didn’t have any complaints about staff, food, the room. They were all fantastic. My only complaint is that I stayed on the first floor, and the outside side door did not lock. That means that anyone could’ve come in at any time without checking in at the front desk. Anybody off of the street could just walk right in.and because my room was two doors down from that door I felt that it was unsafe.

I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel. It was super clean, comfortable, lots of parking, super convenient for playing at the Waxahachie Sports Complex. It couldn't have worked out any better. Plus, 2-5 minutes WALK to Chi-fil-a, Panera, Olive Garden TARGET, and Panda Express. They all literally share a parking lot with the hotel.

We stayed for a week. The hotel was clean and updated. The front desk staff were beyond friendly and helpful. Kiki was especially awesome. The free breakfast was very good, hot food, cereal, breads and bagels, juice, yogurt. Cookies in the evening at the front desk. An area where there are computers, fitness center and pool. Very surprised this place was a holiday inn. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the United States and this one was by far the worst IHG I’ve been to. When I first arrived in my room I noticed missing light bulbs and a strange smell. My ac unit was leaking water over the carpet and left it soaked for my whole stay also concerned maybe there could be mold due to that issue. My coworker and I also woke up one night due to the strong Oder of curry being cooked, it was going straight through my walls. My room was also only cleaned one time for the time being. The pool is very murky & breakfast is horrible. I’m not one to usually complain but this place should most definitely get looked into.

My room was very old. The toilet top had putty around it. It appear that the top was too big. The shower was horrible. It was a shower and tub combo. Shower head was loose and the tub stopper was broken. The air had a humid feel to it.i didnt stay the whole time i left the same day

I liked having snacks available. I liked having a hot breakfast with the to-go bags as an option. I did not like the noise. Folks were talking in the hallway at 10:30 p.m. Folks upstairs walked heavily and a lot. I was awakened by a child was running up and down the hallway Saturday morning at 8:30 for TWO HOURS! I was awakened Friday morning by a man yelling. So, sleeping was difficult.

Loved it! Came for the 2024 total solar eclipse, and the hotel was much better than we expected! We received a free upgrade from a two-queen room to a two-bedroom (first time in my life I received such an upgrade!) and we thrilled. Breakfast was very good, and even though a few items were out of stock when we initially came down (it was very busy), they were quickly restocked. The staff were kind and professional, and we had no issues whatsoever. Would gladly stay again!

Property owner is greedy. Upon checking in, I was charged an extra 7.95 per night. This is tacked on after the price Expedia shows and you agree to. They say it is for incurable etc. I agreed to a price and show get that price. The staff at this hotel is wonderful and it is very clean but that extra price from a greedy owner is ridiculous.

I arrived at 2pm and was told to come back at 3 to check in. I left and returned at 3. I saw several people unloading their cars to go in. When I returned I was told still no rooms, but they would call when it was ready. No phone call. I understand that check in was at 4 but 2 different people lied to me. If the first guy would have just said we are busy and we won’t have your room till 4 I would have understood. Don’t say you are gonna do something when you never planned on doing it in the first place. Finally my daughter and I returned closer to 5 and our room was ready. It was clean, but the people next door were a little noisy. I don’t think I would stay there again.

Very nice handicapped accessible room which is what we needed (two beds with a roll in shower). Staff was friendly and helpful, room was clean and beds were comfortable. Only issue was that the beds were rather high, and my 93 year old mother on a walker really couldn't get in them without me helping lift her in. A little bit of traffic noise, and a bit hard to get into as it is near a busy intersection. We stayed a couple of days, I actually resorted to "working my way in" via a traffic signal at a nearby Target. But I would recommend it and gladly stay here again.

It is a great location. They are in a lot with several restaurants and a Target. It was easy to walk to get a snack. The staff was nice and always attentive. The breakfast was good as well. I wished we had bacon there as well but that is a personal prefe. I highly recommend to stay here to anyone!
