What guests think

At La Quinta by Wyndham Knoxville Airport, travelers repeatedly praise the convenient airport location, friendly front desk staff, generally clean, quiet rooms, and a solid free breakfast, making it a practical stop for late arrivals, early flights, or short stays.

Common positives include helpful shuttle drivers, ample parking, a small indoor pool and gym, and nearby dining. Recurring drawbacks are occasional strong odors or musty AC, dated or dim rooms and tricky tubs, inconsistent shuttle timing or information, and sporadic issues at check-in or with housekeeping. Road access can be awkward due to busy traffic, though aircraft noise is typically minimal. Expect a convenient, budget-friendly airport stay with mostly smooth service and a few rough edges.

Front desk staff (Aaron) was welcoming and helpful. Booked the airport shuttle for 5am with the front desk and also mentioned to the driver the 5am. The driver mentioned he liked to be out front 10 minutes before. The driver showed up at about 5:30am leaving us waiting and wondering for 30 minutes whether the shuttle driver would show up.

Staff was polite and accommodating. Building was older and needs some basic updates. Bathroom fans and vents are all old and rusty. Not a single towel rack in the bathroom. The indoor pool was ice cold and not heated. The pool towels were not much bigger than a hand towel. I will probably not stay there again.

The hotel is clean, safe and has a great breakfast spread. It needs some cosmetic upgrades. I don’t need to see Newsmax on at breakfast. Some of us prefer real news sources. Gym is very nice and a plus plus for the indoor pool.

I booked an airport shuttle for 5am because of an early flight. When I came down around 4:45pm the front desk was empty. I kept calling nobody answered. It was almost 4:55am nobody was around. I decided to call the front desk by phone. That was the only time somebody picked up. His voice sounded sleepy. That is not the only problem. There was another guest with me for the trip. When we arrived at the airport we went to the back to get our luggage. We were expecting the staff to open the back of the van for us. But he did not. We stood there for awhile. He did not do anything until l located the button to open the back door of the van. The service was very poor. You work in a hospitality industry. You should be accomodating and helpful to your guests.

We recommend it highly. The hotel is clean, safe, staff is friendly, and the breakfast was great (scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, yogurt with granola and other fixings, a belgian waffle machine, breads, etc. + coffee and juice). There is a Ruby Tuesday next door and a few other restaurant options nearby.

The bed and room were good. Loved the Dove products. Definitely could use a little bit of an update, but not dirty. The breakfast was definitely where the hotel lacks. Choices were limited, juice tasted extremely watered down, the eggs were watery, and the parfait machine was dropping the yogurt in drops in pinches, so I was only able to get maybe 3 bites in 5 minutes of trying. It’s good for a night stay, especially how close it is to the airport, but wouldn’t be great for long stays.
