Gazebo in the back area. Some of the furnishings need to be updated but good value for the money. Great location right off the highway.

Hotel was located just off the interstate, easy to get to. Pool was great, staff really friendly. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is a gem in Scranton, PA. It has a beautiful, vast lobby area with a bar and restaurant, although both were not open, there is a magnificent potential. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Best of all were the staff, who were all welcoming and friendly. In particular, the receptionist I first met, I think his name is Terrence, was wonderful. He exuded such a positive and enthusiastic attitude, I couldn’t help but smile and relax. This was a great feeling after a long day on a frigid highway. Cheers to ANZ and their terrific team in Scranton.

Beautiful pool

We have stayed here a few times!! Meeka has been so accommodating, helpful, cheerful and has made it where we will always stay here when we come to the area! All staff members are courteous. Rooms are clean and we Love that the pool is open until 12 am. My kids swam so much they tired themselves out making it a win win for all!!

Friday Checked us in and she was amazing! Had a clog in the bathroom sink and they fix it immediately. Great hotel. Heated pool. It was nice.

We liked the very friendly woman at the desk! I believe her name was Friday! The shower water was a little cold and the pool was closed sadly but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless!

This is such a nice hotel! We're coming back in October and we already agreed on staying here again. The hot tub is under construction but the pool is clean and warm. Staff was so friendly. Breakfast was a decent spread of choices. Pool is open til 12 yall!! Ive never stayed anywhere that is open beyond 10. I guess its under new management and they are headed in the right direction.

The outside of the property was well kept and updated as was the lobby and breakfast area. The staff were very pleasant and friendly. The room was something else. It was not updated, there was mold under the pealing off wall paper and the room was not clean. The water never got beyond tepid.

Room was clean and staff friendly. Location was what we needed. Hotel met all our needs- just can’t say it was exceptional. There was also an event at the hotel and the guests were very loud in the hallways late at night, but I’m not blaming the hotel for that.

Very clean and people are so great

First let me start off by saying, that I’ve stayed all over the world and at low star to 5 star hotels and motels. Throughout the years of staying abroad, I’ve never stayed at a hotel with so much of what a hotel should not be. First off, I entered the room of 221 and immediately smelled smoke, then I almost busted my ass on the slippery floor, next I noticed that the mattresses where stained, then I noticed not so clean linen, then I found pubic hair in the tub and counter, the fridge was on but not working properly, then the microwave was dirty, then dust was all over the room, then I found little insects in the desk drawers, the curtains were dirty, paint was peeling, I could go on and on of what was so wrong with the room but I don’t what to write a novel. My and I were sick to our stomachs. I went to Walmart and purchased Lysol Air Fresher and Lysol disinfectant spray, it was so bad. Other hotels in the nearby area were booked to capacity and I didn’t feel like traveling anymore that day, so we stayed. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel, I guess I was expecting a little too much. Also before you enter the lobby you have to walk through a number of people in front of the lobby chain smoking. Oh yea, stains on the wall. I was very disappointed in my stay. I will not be returning at all. The walls are paper thin, the room next to us so loud, we barely got any sleep, their kids keep running around in the room and yelling. My room was full of black mold I took videos and photos of the same. No unflavored cream for the coffee. I only had one washcloth in my room. The staff was amazingly friendly and wonderful. I did not complain to anyone about the mold as I don’t know how they could have compensated me so why bother.

Walked into the room. There were water stains on the ceiling with black mold on them. The bathroom was dirty and had hair everywhere.

The first room we were given was dirty & had an odor (bathroom had towels and used soap in shower, bed was slept in, and duvet had balls of fabric in between layers due to overuse/washing.) Air conditioner had visible mold and dirt. When they gave us another room, it was a king bed so had to share with my coworker. Staff was very nice though.

The hotel was clean and close to the interstate. It does need some updating and older looking. The area is a little rough as well. The staff where extremely nice and helpful, 10/10 for customer service. Beds were comfortable, shower was nice and room was clean.

No hot water for shower. I opened the hot taps on the sink and tub and it was barely warm after more than 10 minutes. This was 7/8am. Sabrina at the front desk told me that it was normal to have to leave the water running on full for more than 15-20 minutes to get hit water in this building and that that was completely reasonable. Extremely wasteful and also inconvenient. I didn't have this problem when I stayed there when it was Sheraton. I also found lingerie tags on my floor from a previous occupant. No telling how poorly the rest of the room was cleaned. Sabrina didn't feel that was necessary to bring up to her manager for some reason. Overall room itself was average.

The room was clean, and the two queen beds were comfortable. The air conditioner worked really well. There were plenty of outlets all over the room. There was a refrigerator and microwave in the room, but no coffee maker. The bathroom was clean and the sink, shower, and toilet worked fine. The towels were kind of small and scratchy, but serviceable. We were not disturbed by noise in other rooms or on the street. The staff were pleasant and helpful.Overall, a very positive experience for an excellent price.

Comfortable bed but the hotel had an event at the bar and the crowd after it was over was super loud and rowdy- in the hallway and surrounding rooms until 5am ugh.. no sleep.

Definitely a solid affordable choice for a short stay. The staff members I met were super friendly, and my room was spacious and seemed quite clean overall. I enjoyed the view from my fifth floor window! The atmosphere in the corridors is a bit depressing due to the dark walls and dim lighting; even some higher intensity light bulbs would help. Also, the bathroom fixtures are clearly very old. I had an issue with the toilet, which I mentioned to the staff member on duty as I was checking out, and he took careful note of it. I do trust that they will look into it, and hopefully all those vintage fixtures will be updated over time.

Clean, friendly staff, SUPER COMFY BED!

Room was clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Only downer was the place was dated. A little long on the tooth.

Even though they have posted in the rooms that breakfast ends at 10, it actually ends at 8. The toaster used to cook the limited time breakfast was broken. I ate a plain bagel. Coffee was good. Rooms were clean, but dated. Wi-Fi was fast. Staff were very friendly, very welcoming and ready to help.

Clean hotel except poor quality mattress doesn’t give you a good sleep at all

The hotel is located near a highway, about 2 miles from downtown. It needs to be refurbished. I found it to be acceptably clean. My biggest complaints are that I could not access Wi-Fi in my room. I went the lobby the next morning and got a connection - and then lost it. The free breakfast consists of pastries in wrappers - which didn't seem appetizing to me.

Great welcome and information from staff. Comfortable bed and quiet room (made for a good night's sleep).

This is a three star property that doesn’t pretend to me anything else. The rooms were quite noisy but I managed to get my head down. Breakfast is finished by 8AM which is far too early. The pool looked interesting. Bath and Body Works products in the bathroom were a nice touch.

The rooms were clean and comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We will be staying again when in the area.

Tristan at the front desk has wonderful customer service and gives visitors a list of places to visit while staying. His energy is very welcoming and he definitely creates the comfortability. Five Star Review for him alone. Brian was great in assistance as well.

Everybody is so nice especially Triston and Friday. They always take of me when I am there. I highly recommend this hotel!

Nobody answeres the phone for many hours since I have stayed a few times. I was supposed to arrive around 10:15pm and had a question about parking. I kept calling for more then 30 minutes, nobody answeres. I called another time in the morning since nobody was there in the lobby to check me out at 6am. They answered the phone at 8am

From start to finish this was a headache. Waited 20 minutes for the lady at the desk to check me in. After I waited patiently I was sent to a room that hadn’t been cleaned. I went back down to inform the desk. She apologized and assigned me a different room. I went up to another room that was a wreck. Came back down and was finally assigned a clean room but the tv didn’t work I went out and had a few drinks came back around 1am. A different girl at the desk very rudely greeted me by telling me I came in the wrong door. As if I wasn’t a paying guest. This place is crazy. There’s definitely something funny going on there. Poor management. The people that work there conduct themselves in a strange manner. I would never stay here again

Friday as a front desk person was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and personable. The hotel was clean, but a little noisy.

For our purposes (quick one-night stay), it was fine. Has the bones of a really nice place, but once you hit the floors with the rooms, it gets a little shabby quick. We were greeting upon arriving by a couple employees smoking right outside the main doors. Wasn't the first impression we were hoping for.

I would do it again because of the convenience to my family nearby . Rooms were tidy and clean but downstairs was dirty and no staff visible during the entire stay. Convenient to shopping. Close to 81.

We enjoyed our stay at ANZ. The hotel was easy to find and well located in Scranton, just 5 minutes from the downtown area and very close to Nay Aug Park. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was spacious, clean. The bed was comfortable. We didn't hear anything from the adjacent rooms. I would say that the only downsides are the pool area and the breakfast hours and options. The pool was okay but the spa was unavailable due to a problem. The toilets in the pool area were disgusting and only one available. You could tell this part of the hotel was in need of repairs and care. The breakfast was only served between 6 and 8 am with very few options available. The seating was not optimal for eating either. A lot of parking available around the hotel, which was nice. Overall, for the price we paid I think it was a pretty decent deal and I would book again if I was to come back to Scranton.

Nice property, but neightborhood is a little dicey

Old building. Limited seating in dinning area. Few things in breakfast. Broken toaster. Staff not happily welcome guests. Ac was not working causing suffocation.

Clean rooms. But restaurant wasn’t open And bar didn’t open until 10 so I had to leave hotel to eat.

The price was lower than a lot of other choices in the area and since we were just looking for a clean place to sleep this was a good choice. It was clean and the staff was friendly. It does look old though and the bathrooms could use a makeover. The continental breakfast was very weak. No hot food, just bagels, cereal, yogurt, pound cake and a few other things. Only one toaster (it was a double, but the 2nd side was broken) so you potentially had to wait a long time to toast a bagel. If you don't care about breakfast and want a clean place for the night, it was good. For the price, I would stay there again.

The staff was great and the rooms were clean, but this hotel has definitely seen better days. Listing “breakfast included” as an amenity is a huge stretch - the extent of options included peanut butter, English muffins, and instant oatmeal (without any bowls). The doors close absurdly loud. If your direct neighbor uses their door while you sleep, you will wake up. The floodlights outside on the far side of the building will illuminate your room regardless if the shades are drawn. We stayed on the 2nd floor, so it may be better on higher floors.

This property needs some work, but was clean and quiet, and in a convenient location. Brown bag "grab & go" breakfast - did not grab one to take a chance on that. No decaf coffee. If your expectations are not very high and just looking for a place to sleep for the night, you probably won't be disappointed.

No real breakfast, just a bag of snacks. Had trouble getting to sleep, kept hearing other guests doors closing from 9pm-11pm. Pool didnt open up until about 6pm. Room was clean, but they didnt have any wash cloths, so we had to use hand towels.

Ideal basic spot to rest your head overnight on a road trip. Appears to be older Sheraton property that has be given a second life as a budget hotel. Overall the hotel is conveniently located just off I-81 and has ample free parking. Staff are super friendly and rooms are clean despite looking a bit tried. Free paper bag breakfast with a muffin, yogurt and banana. Hot coffee and tea are also freely available.

Tristan was awesome, the beds were great. We went to breakfast at 7:30 but no food available and you didnt have a decaf option for coffee

They tike me breakfast was 6:30 - 10 at check in. On Saturday morning i went down at 8:06 and breakfast was closed down and they informed me at the desk it was only till 8:00. The back of the door in the room also said 10 o'clock breakfast was available.
