Pros: good location (plenty of restaurants, bars, and a market right around the corner. 1/2 block from 5th ave). Comfortable bed. Plenty of hot water. Cons: no mini-fridge or coffee maker in room. Pillows need to be replaced. Only 1 ice machine on the ground floor. Tables, chair, and other furniture in room substandard. Carpet worn. Overall, this is basically a budget hotel room for $400 a night, which in NYC, may be about all you can expect these days for that price. One can argue that being in NYC one should be out and about the city I/O in a hotel room and this place promotes that strategy.

Only draw back is the size of the elevator but it is NYC. The staff were amazing and welcomed us for our anniversary and upgraded us! They helped us with everything we needed. The room was the perfect size for a weekend stay in a beautiful area of the city. I will be booking with Shoreham in the future.

Great location! Incredible value! While everything was clean and up to standard the hotel is a bit dated but no issues at all for an NYC visit.

The only good thing I can say about this hotel is the location. Otherwise it wasn’t great. Very dated, grubby. The carpets needed cleaning the walls were scuffed up, the shower heads had mold on them and the bathroom fixtures were old. Over rated and over priced.
