The rooms were very large and ours had a real fireplace in it. Microwave and small refrigerator in each room was nice. Taos doesn’t get much rain but the monsoons hit while we were there. We woke up to find a large puddle in our bathroom area floor. It was our departure day so I don’t know if it was fixed. Breakfast each morning was great! Chips and salsa each afternoon as well as cookies. Overall, a good stay but the place could use a little sprucing up. The bed was very comfortable. It was possible to walk into town from this hotel. We didn’t use the pool but it looked clean and well cared for.

It's a charming place, but old and not very well maintained. The electrical wires are outside the walls in many places. When I tried to use the outlet in the bathroom to dry my hair, it destroyed my hairdryer and there was a burning smell. After much complaining, they did finally agree to give me a small credit for ruining my hairdryer. The baseboards were dusty and dirty, and there was mold along the bathtub. The breakfast was fine, and we appreciated the cookies and chips and salsa.

The word we settled on is CHARMING. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is bright, airy and adequate in size. The hot, cooked breakfast is substantial in its offering and delicious, with indoor outdoor seating. We chose to sit outside on a covered portal that was adjacent to a lovely patio shaded by huge cottonwoods in a rolling green space that offers horse shoes, cornhole, frisbee golf, a couple grilling areas with picnic tables and Adirondack chairs placed about. It’s an absolutely beautiful environment.

Love this hotel! Big rooms, lots of space, lots of open space to sit and enjoy or play in. Good free breakfast, good coffee, and chips and salsa for happy hour. Will definitely stay here again.
