The fire alarm went off during our stay, and no one would answer what happened. We weren't even ushered out of the building. We were told by the fire department to leave, and there was no communication on when it would be safe to come back in. We noticed people were still going in and out of the building while the alarm was going off, but we were told we couldn't. We eventually found out the alarm was something to do with the kitchen on the completely opposite side of this massive hotel, but we weren't allowed back into our room until the alarm stopped. The floors are also a huge maze. Front desk was unclear on the easiest way to an elevator, and it took forever to find. The signs were not clearly marked, and the one elevator we ended up finding was tucked into a corner and very easy to miss if you were going quick. Property was clean, and the housekeeping staff was extremely friendly when we passed by them. We only chose it because of the shuttle for the wedding we were attending, but we would not have chosen it otherwise and will not go again.

I have stayed here in the past when I have come to Chiller Theatre. The check in staff is very nice and they have a Ruth Chris Steakhouse which is excellent. The rooms are large and clean. My only complaint---and it's a big one---is that the main hotel bar is understaffed on convention nights. For instance at Chiller Theatre there was ONE, count em ONE bartender on Convention night number one and a LOT of frustrated people waiting forever for a drink. I complained about it the next day and the bartender on the day shift said that it "takes a week to train" at the bar so they aren't staffed for bigger events, and besides, the waitress made "higher tips." Really?????? Wrong answer. If this hotel is running a convention and they are, then they should staff for it. Just as soon as I had said something to the bartender the next day another customer came up to him and mentioned the same thing and was met with indifference. The second night of the convention there were once again long long waits for drinks. Whoever the food and beverage manager in the hotel should be thinking what the heck he/she is doing and PROPERLY staff. Anyone in management listening and reading these letters? And whoever owns the hotel should be wondering why they are leaving so many frustrated customers and leaving a LOT of money in lost bar sales. The hotel F and B director really needs to rethink their approach. Other than that the hotel experience was a good one.

Expedia site says 3pm check in. Got the and they said room was not ready. Check in is actually 4. Then the hotel says outdoor pool opens at 7am. Which it actually opens at 10am. Other than that was nice.

Booked there for a couple of days. To my surprise, the parking was not free ($20 before tax), and you don't have other options, it feels like a rip-off The girl who checked us in was not welcoming at all. The lobby was not clean. if you need ice, there is only one machine on the 6th floor, and its far The room was good and clean.

The hotel and the staff were outstanding ! I was very turned off by the fact that I had to pay $20 to park at a hotel that staying in That will make me rethink staying there again not to mention we are shopping for a facility for a family event

I was not fond of the cleanliness of the room, pull out mattress was saturated with urine stains, they gave us an extremely old blanket, no wash cloths were given when room was cleaned when asked for more it took close to check out time before housekeeping came at that point we were already ready to leave very shocked with the hotel as a whole. Starbucks and Ruth Chris inside of facility was a plus

Expected more from a HILTON. Got some bug bites overnight and there was an ant infestation. We had a sweet snack and it was covered in ants on the counter top in the room. Ants also present in the lobby area on the couch.

Overall cleanliness was lacking. Elevator controls were filthy. Hotel was extremely humid. So much so that the bed was damp. Dehumidifiers placed in the public bathrooms in the lobby but none in the rooms. Smelled musty so makes me belive there are mold problems. Staff performed their duties but were not friendly. No greetings from the front desk. Coffee bar attendant had to be located and found gossiping with other staff then seemed off put by the ask for a coffee order, bartender was alone without support while trying to serve both cocktails and food making wait for food service extended and leaving bar unattended while serving food.

Pros: Pool was awesome, there is a nice bar with seating, the location was ideal, bed was clean and room was big. Cons: our room was outdated, the furniture had water damage, the AC unit never got over 74, it leaked in the middle of the room, black soot substance surrounded the vent which reminded me of mold but im no expert. We found a roach in our bathroom -it met an untimely death with a shampoo bottle. Our room appeared to not be used frequently, there was a thin layer of dust on the tables like it had been empty for days.

Staff not helpful or friendly. Room dark, musty smelling and outdated. Lukewarm water in shower. I generally am up very early (4 am) and leave the room to walk. Got an uncomfortable feeling walking around. Lobby area littered with used glasses, food on tables which remained till 8 am. Lack of food to purchase. Prices for what was available very overpriced. 7.00 for a 20 ounce soda. Paid less at Disney. Stay elsewhere

The lobby to the hotel on the Hilton Side was beautiful. However the room in which we stayed looked old, couch had multiple stains, there was lots of visible rust and the door to the room made an extremely loud noise when opening and closing. (Room 571). When booking we did not notice that the property was adjacent to a Hampton Inn.

The room was clean and we were comfortable with one exception, the air conditioning was not working. The room temp never went below 78 degrees. I did inform the front desk who said they would send someone up but we did not see or hear from anyone.

The property needs updates. It feels like a 1970's businessman hotel. Old, dark and musty. Love Ruth's Chris Steak house! Love the convenience store niche that you have! Love the workers there! Love that they have the Miss NJ and Miss NJ Teen pageants. Love the pools! Love the workout room!! The rooms are big but the furniture is falling apart. And every time I'm in the 152 room area, it smells like pot periodically. And it's every time I come there. So it leaves me to believe it's a worker smoking pot. GET RID OF THE POT SMOKERS!! I bring my kids there and I don't want to smell it because it is mind altering!! I don't care if it's legal. Where are my rights not to inhale it? Cigarette smoke isn't allowed so pot smoke shouldn't be either. I have mostly nice things to say but I think it's time for Hilton to consider a new updated look.

I booked through Expedia for the very first time and my experience was horrible. I had booked 2 bedrooms, both having 2 beds which was confirmed and paid for. When I get to the hotel they didn’t have the rooms due to overbooking and didn’t want to accommodate me for anything that will equal the amount I paid for. The staff was really rude and very impatient. Trying to figure out what to do they were rushing me to stay or to leave not considering that I was figuring out how to make their mistake work for my family. meanwhile manger was arguing with another customer which ended up having the police involved. Just a very bad experience with no good customer service.

Pros = none Cons = - Housekeeping does not do their job correctly & often does not show up at all (even after requesting at the end of the day) - The front desk employees are not helpful - They try to get an extra $300 out of guests by saying you are smoking in the room. They don't say sorry when they realize they are wrong for accusing you - If you request something simple like towels because housekeeping never replaced them, they say they will send someone and no one ever comes - The floor in the shower is literally peeling off and they think that is ok Overall, I would stay away from this property

Stayed at the hotel for 3 days / 2 nights to attend a convention, the first night the shower was clogged and the water got backed up but the staff quickly fixed the issue, but I was a bit disappointed that housekeeping did not once in the 3 days we stayed come in to clean the room and provide additional amenities (i.e. toilet paper, clean towels etc.) so we had to go down to the front desk to request these things as they seem to continue to overlook our room. Besides the few inconveniences, our overall stay wasn't bad, I would rate this as an average hotel

The front desk young lady who works Friday thru Sunday daytime is very rude and unfriendly. She let select people check in early, yet had others wait until 3pm. There is NO AC in 70+ degree weather and they give fans - what a joke. Two out of 3 treadmills broken and all staff says “I was unaware of the situation” as if they’re reading from a script. Horrible experience.

The hallway of the 2nd floor stunk like mildew. Restaurant hours are limited. Manager was horrible at explaining why we were being charged $334 for a nicotine alarm in our children's room. We are fighting the charge. Parking cost $20 a day. I will never return to this hotel ever again!

The food was incredibly expensive for the quality at the breakfast buffet. $25 for adults, $17 for a 5 year old. Typical buffet, nothing special although i had a decent tasting omelet. Not a $25 omelet! Front desk staff were very nice

The staff. The desk and other staff were incredible. The desk staff was extraordinary. They went out of their way to help me with any question or request. The pantry had no diet soda and I am diabetic. I spoke with Anica and she went in back and no diet soda. The next day, there were 4 cans of diet soda in the pantry. Anica would not take credit, but I am not one for coincidence. And Jeshary dealt with me on two occasions, after a healthy celebration and indulging at my convention. I was having issues getting my food and pantry orders correct and she stood by and helped me with my food, found utensils and made sure my money was correct. This staff deserves whatever they are getting paid and more. A staff like this, especially these 2 young ladies, would make me choice the HIlton over perceived better hotels.

We arrived later in the evening. The staff member was pretty scattered. He was the only person at the front desk. He made check in stressful. We got to the room the temperature was around 75. thought it was due to no one being in the room and they keep the room at a higher temp. The next morning the temperature was 83 we called the front desk no answer. We had things to do that day so said we would address it when we returned. That night we we returned the temp in the room was still 83 we called the front desk again no answer. We turned the system off to try and reset it while we went to dinner downstairs. Told the guy working the front desk there was an issue with our a/c. He said he would send someone up. We got back to our room after midnight unit was still off. Turned it back on temp was now 84 per thermostat. I called the front desk several no answer. Next morning the thermostat still read 83. We took the keys to the front desk and told the lady what happened and she said sorry I'll have someone look at it.

Didn't like Room 559 having noisy ventilation. We were moved to another room and until it was fixed, the heat didn't work. Otherwise it finally worked out. Staff was very accommodating.

Loved this place! The hotel itself was gorgeous with a lot of amenities. I was glad to learn that there was a Ruth’s Chris at this location. We ended up going here for dinner during our visit. The hotel was very conveniently located near stores and grocery locations. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were spacious. I’d recommend this location and would definitely stay here again.

The Hilton is a huge hotel, suited to large meetings. It has a huge lobby and large conference rooms. It has a good location because of all the large business in that part of New Jersey. It looks like it could use updates in the decor, although our room was very comfortable.

The hotel bar kitchen delivers food that does not match the menu description as someone that has allergies I find this very alarming prime example sourdough grilled cheese very simple but yet they send rye bread grilled cheese out yes right allergies exist I still find it absolutely funny that the hotel charges parking that's not included as part of this stay I guess it would make sense if we were near an airport for example but I don't know there's just better options than

Great shower. Great tV> Bed was a bit too soft for my tastes... Resteraunts and Amnenites were a little lacking given their wasd a 3 day convention at the hotel...Not enough food options in the hotel store and the Starbucks Cafe was out of many items...Overall, a very satisfied stay.

Everything was very nice. Hotel has a little wear and tear, but nothing awful, and was priced accordingly. Good food. Restaurant hours and options were a little pricey and ended early or without warning sometimes, but the food tasted great. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly.

Arrived at 11 pm, car park signs threatened clamping unless patrons download an app and pay the car park fees. I am from the UK and cannot download any apps on my company phone. Went to reception and they won’t take payment. They gave me a leaflet that provided a link to the payment site but that did not work. The hotel was expensive, the event was expensive yet these people harass you for another $20 at 11 pm after an international flight and long drive. It really is beyond belief. The hotel is dated, unclean and the catering was terrible. I asked for raisin bran at breakfast and the waitress said they don’t stock it. There was no service but they wanted a tip or service payment of 25%. If it’s self service then you can’t expect to be given a tip or service charge.

Room was nice, quiet and spacious. My room's AC unit was broken so my room was hot. I let the front desk know and they were very helpful. I would sugguest DoorDashing food or going out- Ruth Chris is very expensive ($54 for an 8oz steak lol) and Apotheca is okay.
