I was thinking long and hard what to say about this hotel. It is reasonably priced, has a reasonable location (don’t mind the homeless) - close to the convention center, center city, city hall, JFK Plaza (Love Park) and the historic sites. So that is a win. The rooms are alright, quite dark and no window to the outside. Maintenance should be improved, but cleanliness certainly needs a second look. The lampshade had “blood splatter” (surely not) on it, and overall it just felt not that clean. Breakfast exists, offers bagels, orange & apple juice, yoghurt, some muffins, cream cheese and jelly. If you are not picky (and I am not) you have your fill. Would I recommend it? Sadly not, but if you are on a budget and you don’t mind some of these things, this might still be the right choice. While I had not a lot of nice things to say, I’d come back - if the price is right.

Staff was friendly, courteous and EXTREMELY accommodating. Our room was on the street side, so very noisy!! No fridge or microwave in the room without extra charge, which was unfortunate. The bed weirdly tilted back at the head, but putting their pillows under the mattress to tilt it up helped. Copious hot water, but medium pressure and soft water. Overall, great value for room and its location right near the convention center! Parking is off-site, but Th-M (with in and out) was $116, including 3.5% tax, so not horrible.
