Comfort Inn Metro Airport

We unexpectedly ended up at this hotel when our flight was cancelled. Mandrell at the front desk was absolutely wonderful - we arrived very late at night, bedraggled and overwhelmed...Mandrell was so thoughtful, kind and helpful! We really appreciated her! The shuttle to the airport was convenient and straightforward!

Liked having a microwave and fridge in the room. Shuttle was prompt and convenient. Very convenient to the airport. I made use of the breakfast, I always look for hotels that provide breakfast so I appreciate that. The room furniture and flooring could use some updating and a paint job on the walls.

This was our last stop before flying out the next day. We were tired and hungry. Comfort Inn was a good choice. We had a good dinner at hotel so that made quite the difference for us, not having to leave to find a restaurant. We were able to wash our soiled clothes onsite. 1.00 to wash and dry, ( took quarters).There was only 1 washer and dryer, but it was not busy so we did not have to wait. They also had enough suitcase dollie carts. Breakfast in the am, (6 to 9) was decent. Very close to airport. Thanks Confort Inn Rumulus!

The hotel was average, but the whole reason for my stay was to park and use the shuttle to the airport. Because I booked thru Hotels.com and didn't pay probably at least double the price, they wouldn't let me use their services

Booked this property due to the location near the airport and free parking with shuttle. The location was good, yet I was told the parking was not free because I booked on Expedia. Therefore, I had to go off-site and pay for parking. Also, the front desk staff was rude. The room was aged with gross stains on the couch.

Great spot close to the airport has shuttle dining n bar great service when opportunity arises wilm return.

Free 6 day free parking only if booked directly with hotel not Expedia. Very deceiving not to fully disclose that prior to booking.

The hotel was fine however the shuttle service was very poor. I was stranded at airport due to snow and called ahead to make sure there would be shuttle service around midnight and was assured of it. I waited over 45 minutes in the freezing snow and called three times being assured the shuttle was on it's way. I gave up and eventually called an uber.

Close to airport and has a shuttle that is shared with many other hotels. So add a few more minutes to your schedule.

BED BUGS!!!!!! Took a LIVE bed bug to the front desk and they tried to tell me that wasn’t what it was. Manager never came out to talk to me, they just told me to call Hotels.com. Still trying to make sure i didn’t bring them home with me. It is a huge expense and commitment to ensure they are not on my things. The hotel was in terrible condition, so wasn’t surprised. The reviews do not reflect the bad condition of this hotel.

The check in went fairly smooth. The room was absolutely horrible as their was hair in the shower, urine on the toilet seat and behind the seat all over the rim of the toilet. There was a long black hair in the sing and the bed was on a steel frame and very uncomfortable. Very disappointed!

The room smelled musty and damp and the bathroom was full of mildew.

Bed is too soft. Bathroom is not clean. Carpets are gross in the hallways. Smells like smoke. I would not recommend this hotel or ever stay in it again.

Sub par hotel. Dirty. Broken ice machine. Room was filthy.

The hotel was terrible. The room was dirty with cobwebs, and had cockroaches in the room. The bed was extremely uncomfortable. The continental breakfast was also not good. The food was not restocked and was old.

The first room was full of cob webs and instant headache from an extremely musty smell. Went and got another room which was a little better, but still filthy. Refrigerator has so dirty, I wouldn't trust walking in the carpet in bare feet.

Room 304 had black mold in the shower ceiling and peeling wallpaper on the wall. Eww.

Bedbugs!

The cold air was blowing through the windows, I shut them the best I could, but there was still a whistling sound all night. My wakeup call was for 5am, it rang at 7:30pm the night before. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful, I would stay there again.

The location of this hotel is right off the highway, across from airport and insulation isn’t that great so there’s some noise in the rooms. The rooms are a bit run down, and didn’t feel all that clean. That being said, the price was right and the guy who runs the bar was super nice, attentive and hard working. For that reason I would probably come back, even though the room itself was subpar.

this was a business trip and as you can imagine the internet is VERY IMPORTANT. However, the internet was very slow for the two days I was there.

Bathroom was not big enough, especially the toilet

This place is older and you can tell that some things need renovated but the bed was comfortable and was clean. It is a great value compared to some of the other places to stay just around the bend from it.

The door/wall is not sound proof, can hear clearly people taking phone calls at midnight.

Nicky in the front desk is be dry rude and short. WiFi doesn’t work.

The rooms were clean, the property was convenient but the room was so hot we could not sleep. We turned the AC down to 66 but it got no where near that. None of us even used sheets it was so hot. We got no sleep. I checked in the morning and it appeared to be cool so maybe the cool air was going behind the curtains. I don’t know but it didn’t cool the room. It was a miserable night.

The room was a little dated but comfortable. Sometimes, the window would whistle from the wind. It was extremely windy so, turning up the fan help with sleep. My only complaint was the toilet. The bowl had two cracks in but it didn't leak. However, it sat so low, I had all I could do, to ssit down on it. I'm 6'3" and 275lbs. That being said, I have never had to use a toilet this low. It literally wasn't much higher than the step to get in the shower. Room 235. Check it out. It a low rider.

After traveling all day from Europe with flight delays, we decided to get a room before driving home. The front desk person could not have been ruder. It was clear she didn’t want to be there and was absolutely disgusted to help the guest. There was a person of color in front of us who didn’t get the same treatment. Maybe she just hated white people??

Slow check in. Staff are indifferent, but price was okay. It was okay for a night stay.

Process to check in was very fast.

The front desk people are amazing. Kim was especially friendly and helpful. I will be returning to this hotel!!

Front desk lady was rude

The staff were courteous and went beyond the normal by calling to let us know checkout time was 11 AM then quickly offered to extend to noon. Complimentary water at checkin! We will be back for sure…

Stayed here before an early flight, the check in process was painful. Many people were there due to a cancelled flight, the person working the front desk continued to answer the phone through checking everyone in. Each persons check in was 10 minutes long. This was at 11pm at night. Room had paintings ripped off the wall. The shuttle was good but also left 4 minutes early.

This is your normal airport hotel. It has a modest bar, an average restaurant with bar food, and a pretty average (fairly mediocre) breakfast buffet. The service and everyone there were excellent, though, and the room was fine. I’d stay here again if the price was decent. Again, the service and staff were GREAT.

The woman at the front desk checked us in quickly and without issues. She was friendly and handled it very professionally.

Welcome desk experience was quick, efficient and friendly. Room was spacious and clean. Great convenience to airport and rental car.

Complimentary breakfast was available early from 5am, hostess was exceptionally friendly and helpful. Complimentary shuttle that operated every 30 minutes made getting to our flight easy and convenient.

The hotel was great! Breakfast was excellent! The Hollywood grille was not very good, steak tips were terribly overcooked. Great to have an airport shuttle service.

The breakfast looked terrible..sausages floating in water for who knows how long..eggs were bland and watery. Coffee was good. No muffins or fruit to take on the road. We opted to eat somewhere else.

The hotel has a bug problem which makes it feel very unclean. We noticed problem immediate after entering room. We then moved to another room which (temporarily) seemed to be better. After about a day the flying little nat (fruit flies) were back in full force. I noticed at breakfast as well. Wouldn’t recommend until the seriously address issue. This problem made the hotel feel dirty. The staff were nice. I wouldn’t recommend spending money at restaurant - food didn’t feel worth spending money on. Breakfast was decent although lack of fruit.

We stayed at the Comfort Inn for 2 nights as we needed lodging prior to a flight leaving from the Detroit airport. There are dozens of hotels within a mile of the airport so there are definitely lots of choices. We chose Comfort Inn because the price was reasonable, it offered free breakfast and free shuttle service to the airport. The property is lovely on the outside and has plenty of free parking. The lobby is clean, open and attractive. Hotel staff was very friendly. Rooms and hallways are a bit dated (carpets in hallway was stretched, loose and actually a tripping hazard). Beds were a bit too firm for me but otherwise clean. Room size is average. Rooms have working refrigerators and microwaves and nice flat screen TVs. Bathrooms are small and somewhat dated but functional. Off the lobby there is a small restaurant/bar. It was a nice place to hang in the evenings and for breakfast. Bar tenders were very friendly! Breakfast itself wasn't the best....there were eggs, a breakfast meat such as ham or sausage. The rest is just continental (bagels,juice,coffee, cereal ect). Breakfast ends at 9:00 a.m. but food had already run out by 8:30, so the staff just started cleaning up around 8:40. So unless you plan to plan to eat between 5:00 am.-8:00 am, there may not be breakfast for you. It was a fine place to stay for the cost.

It was nice that there was a restaurant and bar within the hotel. The menu options were limited but my burger was good and my cocktail was perfect after a long airport day. Bed was comfortable. My first room had a leak of some sort around the windows resulting in a loud whining noise but the desk clerk was very helpful and kind and switched it out for another room with no issue. Breakfast was just okay, but overall, a good experience
