The staff at hotel is amazing. But for the amount you pay for your room def isn’t worth the hype, you have to work fast to get a room u can partially see the stadium, your just better off walking to bleachers. There are only 2rooms that you can possibly see the ballpark from my understanding. On the 2nd floor is where there is a Fenway terrace you can’t see the ballpark itself just the signs behind the back of the ballpark, we wanted to hang out there and we had asked if someone could come lit the fire pits no one went up to lit them… then they closed the doors completely to that area the 2nd day…for the amount you spend to stay here you were to think they would make sure the area is available. They had an event for a team while we were there they ran up and down the hall, there coach had them taking ice baths with the door open it was just not what you expect while your staying at the common wealth. They also had another room setup for them to hangout in, we had no idea it was for them as I myself had my two children with me, my son goes in there and some rude lady comes and gets on to them for being in there! I told her they should get a sign put on the door as other guest also had no idea it was just for them. I hope moving forward for future stays it gets better.

We loved our stay at Hotel Commonwealth! Our room was huge and very comfortable. All of the staff we encountered were helpful and friendly. The coffee downstairs every morning was fabulous and there was always cold water (sparkling or not) on tap. We will be back!

Loved the location. It’s close to excellent dining and bars. Right across the street from Fenway. The Kenmore subway station is literally right outside the front door. Highly recommended. There is some construction in the lobby and the seafood restaurant is closed which was a bummer.

Room was not ready until slightly after 4:00. Painting the lobby....ladders/dropclothes everywhere in the lobby. Elevators did not work and had to walk through the restaurant to get in. I understand the need to re-paint the lobby, but there were too many nuisances to say it was a relaxing stay. Review of my bill for a 13 hour stay showed am additional 25% surcharge for parking and taxes. It never stops in Taxachussets!

The staff was amazing. So helpful so on top of everything. What we were disappointed in and one of the reasons we picked the Hotel Commonwealth was the the deck/patio access but because there was a wedding we were not allowed to access the deck. Very disappointing. I would have chosen another hotel if we were aware.

Check in staff was very polite and friendly. We turned down the air before bed and it never cooled the room. Woke up to it being 77 degrees! We slept terrible, it was so hot. The room itself was nice, however the bathroom had hair on the floor when we first walked in. The towels were rough - not what I would expect in a hotel of this status. The QR code in the room, did not show breakfast options for me to call in the night before. I had to go down to the front desk and get a printed out paper menu. I called the evening prior to have breakfast delivered at 7am. I was told they can't deliver until 730 (menu says it starts at 7am). Then it never came until 745 and we were told their cappuccino machine was down. I had also asked about gluten in the granola and no one could give me an answer. This information should be listed in the kitchen for anyone taking an order to see. I instead asked for the granola on the side, so my spouse could eat it and ended up not getting any granola at all. Valet parking was $75 which I felt was very steep, when lots nearby were charging $25 - $50 for over night parking. For the price, I would not recommend this hotel. The location was prime, but other hotels in the area would have been cheaper and I would image we would have had better experience.

I recently stayed at your hotel and was extremely disappointed by the condition of my room — especially given the expensive rate. The carpet was dirty, the desk had chipped paint, and there were stains on the wall in the bathroom. Additionally, there was no bottled water or coffee provided in the room. Overall, the experience fell far below expectations for a hotel of your caliber and price point. Overall, a great stay. We were given a room that smelled of mildew and when we asked to switch, they gave us a wonderful corner room. Very quiet, even though it faces the road. The bed was a bit soft and seemed worn down.The hotel was a quick 8 minute walk to Fenway Park. We would definitely come back.

We had great hopes for this property; so close to Fenway and downtown. It was easy to see what it was in its heyday but it presented very worn out. Not super clean, some deferred maintenance, generally lacked the luster it advertises having. We did not choose to stay here again upon our return to Boston for our next family trip.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Commonwealth. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were large, clean and well appointed. We had a fantastic dinner at the Blue Ribbon Brasserie as well. We will absolutely stay again!

This property is beautiful! It is conveniently located to the tea. Easy walk to Fenway for anyone coming in for a game. The staff were friendly unhelpful. We would definitely stay at this hotel again. One caution… We had a view of Fenway from our room on the fourth floor, but the road noise did get a little loud at night. So just ask for a room on the other side if that’s not important to you.

The hotel staff were very friendly and the check in process was easy. The lobby area was beautiful and our room was spacious. Our original room the bathroom had a strange smell that led us to inquire about a room change. The staff were understanding and able to get us a new room that matched our original room with view of Fenway Park. The new room was much better with no smell. We were a little disappointed with the fact that the room with a view of Fenway included a view of the highway and train tracks that are between the hotel and Fenway that you don’t see in the amazing promo pictures. Aside from that the bed was comfortable and the highway sounds didn’t hinder our sleep. If we would return we probably would not select a room with the view of Fenway but since we were there to see a game we thought it would be neat to see the stadium from the hotel.

Overall, this was a great stay because we cared about the Fenway view from our room. It’s a higher end hotel, but the room is not any nicer than your average Hampton or Holiday Inn express. The outlets didn’t work by the bed, which is really difficult in this day and age. Overall, you’re paying for a location, but at that price I expected a little bit more.

Loved the location of the hotel and all the places we could walk to nearby. We had difficulty with how noisy the room was, we could hear every pindrop from neighboring rooms. We had a drunken party next door and staff handled it very professionally in the middle of the night, very grateful for that. The room was very bear bones and in dire need of updating. There no amenities available that we are used to from other hotels (in-room coffee, minibar offerings, etc.).

Very nice hotel. Clean and convenient location. Quiet. However, I found half the front desk staff indifferent when asked a question. )The other half were very friendly). For example they seemed to have no idea what to tell clients to do after we had to evacuate in the night due to a fire alarm (had to evacuate twice in the same night). Obviously they had no control over the alarm but once the fire department left we had no guidance and in fact after the second evacuation we’re just told it was up to us if we wanted to return to our rooms. No major complaints just an area for improvement.

An amazing staff greeted us at the front door, quickly grabbing our luggage. The front desk staff was able to get us checked in hours early and gave us a complimentary upgrade with a view of Fenway Park. Upon hearing we were headed to the zoo, the front desk offered us cold bottles of water to take on our trip.

The hotel and staff were excellent! Its location next to the Kenmore subway station made getting around very easy. We had a long flight in and when we checked in were given water bottles and snacks. Rooms were spacious and clean. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location, but the service was so bad. I stayed there for 4 nights, the first two nights, there were no room cleaning services, even I called the front desk to request a regular cleaning for the second day. But when I came back on the second night, it kept the same. Plus, the vent system blew in the very thick paint smell made my daughter allergic. After complaining, we finally got another room. Till the checkout there is no one came to explain why I didn’t receive the service I deserved.

The staff goes above and beyond to be helpful. My daughter’s wheelchair broke and they had one we could use and got us a car so we didn’t miss the show. Fantastic place, I’d come back anytime!

We had a family trip to Fenway so we picked this hotel because of location. What a perfect spot! Less than a 10 minute walk to Fenway, staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. Valet parking to make life easy in the busy city. The hotel is beautiful and well kept. Rooms are clean and modern. The beds are a little hard, but it was only one night so that was ok. Overall I would absolutely recommend staying here for the convenience and proximity to Fenway.

Truly great staff throughout the hotel. They went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Very nice rooms and amenities. The location is excellent for anything you want to do in Boston. The Kenmore T station is right outside and you can get anywhere quickly.

Everyone on the property, from the guys at the door to the desk staff to housekeeping, was amazing. We got to the hotel early. We checked in, and they took our bags to our room while we returned our rental car. We walked just about everywhere, although there is a T station right across the street. Fenway Park is a very short walk. Our first trip to Boston was wonderful, thanks in part to everyone at the Hotel Commonwealth.

Excellent location, right at Kemore Square. Staff extremely friendly, helpful, and kind. Free coffee in lobby in the morning is wonderful. Would have been nice to have a few snacks and evening hot drinks as well. Front desk staff particularly helpful and friendly.

Love the area. Walking to everything . The blue ribbon sushi is stellar and the new corner restaurant attached to the hotel as well and has good food and vibe. (7-11 next door can be deterrent for some) I would recommend to refresh couple of elevators . Nice gym. For buz travelers I would ask for earlier coffee in the lobby. Or put Nespresso or Illy coffee machines

I had to request a keirug be brought up. Room service was only for limited drinks in the evening. No food. The desk and doormen staff were very professional and helpful, but the bellcaps were not polite re my tips for my bags.

Large, attractive rooms with comfy beds. Staff super friendly and helpful. Complementary snacks available at front desk round the clock. Only drawback is no restaurant for breakfast. Have to order room service. The food is tasty but small portions for the price. Super convenient if going to Fenway. T stop right next to hotel makes it easy to get to other sites.
