Never thought I'd see a Hampton Inn priced this high then had to pay for parking too. Room was nice, staff was friendly, included breakfast was above average. The location left a lot to be desired in terms of safety. I was there for a work trip and one of the customers I was visiting asked where I was staying and when I told him he advised to be very careful and to not go out at night--this part of town is known as "meth alley." It's located right across the street from a hospital, and there were ambulances and police sirens all.night.long. Would not stay there again.

The hotel itself is very good. The facilities and staff are excellent—very kind and helpful. They offer free breakfast, and everything was generally great. The hotel does provide a shuttle service to key areas, which is helpful. The only downside is that the surrounding area has a noticeable homeless presence and it’s close to a hospital, so there’s quite a bit of noise from ambulances and emergency activity. Other than that, everything was truly wonderful. I especially appreciated that I was staying there on my daughter’s birthday, and the hotel staff kindly placed a beautiful bouquet of flowers in our room that made the day even more special. We truly enjoyed our stay and are very grateful.

Good, free breakfast, friendly day staff, night clerk was grumpy. Front desk staff were very helpful. We partially chose this property due to the indoor pool. Water temperature was freezing. Spoke to the maintenance mgr, he turned it a little warmer but it was still very cold.

The hotel itself was fine; clean, friendly staff, easy check in, rooms were nice. The parking garage was across the street so not the easiest with bags and such. If what they say about location, location, location is true for a successful business, then the location of the hotel really hurts it overall rating. Our room faced out at Massachusetts General Hospital, so the constant sound of sirens and the use of the helicopter pad didn't allow us a night of uninterrupted sleep. The main streets outside the hotel aren't very desirable as we learned that the locals have nicknamed the street "Methylamine Mile". On top of that, for some reason the pool heater was not functioning properly, so the water was ice cold. Aside from 10 minutes in the pool, our kids weren't able to enjoy this feature of the hotel as well. Aside from these two items, the hotel offered a shuttle that we took full advantage of with drop offs at the aquarium and Fenway, the free breakfast was most welcomed, and the staff was extremely polite and helpful. It really isn't their fault that the hotel is situated beside Boston's main trauma centre! All in all, we still love and treasure Boston - but would probably avoid this hotel for any future visits.

Had a great time in Boston. Only there for Red Sox game. They have a shuttle to Fenway, but it fills up quick, so we decided to walk to enjoy the scenery. It took 20 mins. The weather was so nice, we walked home also. On our way in, we had a conversation with, Mo, the security guard. He was a really nice guy. Room was clean, water was hot, A/C was cold. Breakfast was good, also.

While breakfast was excellent and the room was clean and comfortable we were disappointed that the pool was not heated as advertised. Two other groups came into the pool area while we were there and we were all shocked by the temperature of the water. Not fun for anyone!

Felt dirty. Bathroom floor was not well cleaned. The linen on the bed felt very rumpled and not at all fresh. The noise on the eighth floor at 7AM from the athletic club and the roaring of the treadmill above was so loud we couldn’t go back to sleep. It was so disappointing and overpriced for what we got. We left early because of it. We wanted to enjoy a late relaxing morning but that was totally impossible. Breakfast was also a severe disappointment. The lobby was nice. I had room 402 and it was facing a homeless shelter and a hospital. There were sirens and screaming all night. The water in the shower did not get very hot but the sink did. I cut my foot on a shard of glass that was in the carpet. The toilet ran and made dripping noises all night. I did not attempt to contact the front desk about any of my issues since only the noises were interfering with sleep and by that point it was already well into the night. Definitely not a pleasurable stay, but it was affordable and the bed was comfortable

I stayed at this hotel with a friend while in town for a convention, and what should have been a fun and productive trip turned into an absolute nightmare. We both left covered in bed bug bites – extremely itchy, uncomfortable, and distressing. This was disgusting and not to mention painful. We chose this hotel based on brand reputation and location, but this experience has left us questioning both. The rooms were clearly not properly cleaned or inspected. Having to deal with bed bug bites and the fear of bringing them home is unacceptable for any guest, let alone paying customers staying for multiple nights during a busy travel period. I am requesting compensation in the form of a full refund or hotel chain credit to cover the cost of this stay. At the very least, it is what should be done to address the suffering, inconvenience, and frustration this situation has caused. I sincerely hope management takes this seriously and addresses it promptly—not just for us, but to prevent future guests from going through the same awful experience.

Horrible experience. Stains on the bed. Reached out to front desk who said no other rooms. They sent maintenance man up with new sheets, but didn’t offer to change them. Also no apology for the poor cleanliness of the room.

Wasn’t a big fan of the breakfast options. The service and cleanliness were great! Rooms were very spacious, but the bathroom sink kept getting clogged. Overall, I would definitely recommend, or stay again if needed.

Generally speaking, this was a good stay. Room was spacious and adequate for my 4 night trip. Was clean and organized but showing a little bit of age, to be expected over time, nothing glaringly bad. Climate control was good, not overly loud. Beds were comfortable, good pillows. Basic toiletries were provided in the bathroom. Biggest negative of the room was lack of drawer space (there were rollout wire racks under the tv but not good for clothes/shoe storage) and very small closet with only a few hangers. Made it difficult to hang dress attire to get wrinkles out or fit everything in general. Morning breakfast was generally pretty good, coffee was available 24/7, decent seating for breakfast was available and the food selections were changed daily and generally well prepared for a free breakfast, along with standard staples in the morning like cereal, fruit, pastries and breads. Staff was friendly and attentive during the limited interactions we had with them. As far as cost versus value, I recommend shopping around. The street noise and sirens almost all day long make it very difficult to sleep or concentrate to get work done. The area the hotel is located in is not a “desirable” one as there were police presence around the neighborhood consistently 24/7, homeless, beggers and drug use near the property and armed private security patrolled through the lobby. Other locations may be more desirable due to similar costs for better location.

The property itself was fine , the building could use a bit more maintenance but nothing wrong with it . Only thing was that my room was facing the hospital and the windows provided barely any noise insulation . Every time an ambulance , cops or helicopter arrived or left I would wake up because of the noise.

lots of drug activity around property. My key card battery was dead, could not get into my room until the next day. UNACCEPTABLE I was given another room but my belongings were 3 floors down. We I didn't have my medicine, we slept in our clothes I had no toothbrush etc. Nighttime staff NOT friendly or understanding. They had the charger at the desk but did not bother looking for it. Had to wait until 7am for maintenance to fix it. Received refund but VERY VERY upset about the stay.

I booked 2 rooms with this hotel and the Hampton Inn only had 1 of my 2 rooms available despite taking my payment going through and me receiving the confirmation. I tried to work it out with the front desk workers and they refused to help solve the situation even after me connecting them over the phone with a representative from hotels.com. I asked if the same type of room was still available, the front desk worker told me that it was. I rebooked a new room that was supposed to be the same as my previous reservation. It was not. The front desk worker for Hampton Inn booked me a completely different room and once I went down to tell them the issue, they refused to move me into another room that matched what I asked for because we had already walked into the new room. The facilities were fine but the staff was so disinterested and unhelpful, I will be contacting their national offices and reporting this issue.

The room was clean and the breakfast was good, but I wished there were more options other than carbs. More fruit options and protein maybe some vegetables. Overall it was good and I loved the fact they offered free tea, coffee and hot chocolate 24/7. The only downside of the trip was how loud the police cars and ambulances were every night. It was really annoying. Also, I rebooked a king bed with a pullout sofa but when I went to check in they said it only booked me for a king bed and I was forced to pay $25 for a rollaway bed because we were 3 people. The lady at the front desk didn’t really care that we were going to be 3 people sleeping in a room that only has one bed she told me to call Expedia and complain to them because it’s not her problem.

The staff could not have been more gracious and kind. We enjoyed their enthusiasm for Boston Marathon weekend and appreciated the shuttle bus to the Prudential Center. The hotel was super clean amd the breakfast was generous and delicious. The hospital across the street generated a lot of ambulance sirens, but we managed to enjoy a great 5 days im Boston.

It’s great hotel, Vanaeja in front desk was amazing, she has a great customer service skills, was sending us text messages through our stay in hotel to make sure all is ok. It’s nice hotel, had some issues, neighbourhood around seems is not safe, a lots of homeless people, but hotel has a security guy always, bathroom need to be update, but in overall it’s good for short stay, and complementary breakfast, coffee and tea on lobby and delicious cookies are a plus.

Everything was wonderful about this hotel except the location. While the service was fine, we were in a questionable part of Boston with homeless / compromised individuals congregating outside our window. We were on the 6th floor, so it was okay, but we were quite nervous walking around the area right outside of the hotel. We were told by one of our Uber drivers that this is one of the most dangerous areas of Boston. In addition, this hotel is next door to a medical center, so ambulance sirens woke me up several times during the night. I thought we might be in trouble, when the hotel provided us with earplugs.

Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Hotel was clean. Breakfast was great. Affordable. Unfortunately, the location was awful! There was so much noise outside. Busy intersection. Ambulance and Police sirens all night long. Unhoused gathered outside hotel and they were loud as were the police who were trying to break up their gatherings. If you are sensitive to noise, consider staying elsewhere.

The staff is great. Plenty of security, this is because its on "methadone mile" (according to the locals). You are adjacent to a busy hospital with lots of ambulances coming in hot. On the plus size there is a great Cuban restaurant on the property.

The hotel itself is very nice. Rooms nice and clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. We liked the shuttle service to Fenway. The only drawback is location. Homeless surround the area. Police were constantly patrolling it. No one bothered us but it’s not in an area where you would want to walk.

The property is near a busy road and hospital, so it was very noisy with sirens at all hours. It is also near a lot of homeless camps and people, didn’t feel safe to walk around the property.

this hotel is in the worst part of Boston. sirens happen all night - there are drug addicts EVERYWHERE. They have cops outside 24/7 but it doesn't stop the noise. I would strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

Staff is amazing, very loud location given it is right by the major Boston Hospital. (It’s why we chose it, my wife had appointments.) Homeless shelter is right across the road, so police presence is very high. We were only approached once by a panhandler. Hotel is very secure with guards and key passes to get the elevator to go up, access to stairwell also requires key card.

Lots of homeless around the property. The property itself was very clean, pool was very clean and breakfast was AMAZING. Best hotel breakfast I’ve ever had in my life. Had a waffle bar, oatmeal bar, huge selection of pastries and more. Highly recommend.

Stayed one night to go out in Boston. Great location to uber to Faneuil Hall or that vicinity. Hotel was reasonably priced, clean room and great customer service. Breakfast included is always a plus. I like to stay at Hampton Inns. The only thing is the hospital is next to the property so you hear sirens at night but that is out of the hotel’s control. I would recommend staying here.

I stayed here for the Boston Marathon and had an incredible experience. The staff was amazingly, the room was everything I expected, their buffet breakfast was excellent and the location was perfect with everything either walking distance or a short Uber ride away! I woul definitely recommend this hotel and would stay here again if Im ever back in the area.
