Had a nice stay, until checking out. Due to medical reasons, had to use valet parking, and upon leaving waited 1 hour and 5 minutes for our car, causing us to be late for an important medical appointment. Otherwise, had a pleasant visit.

Staff was friendly. Elevator is slow, so ended up using the stairs most of the time. Enjoyed that the stairs were part of the interior design, and did not have to walk down some sketchy hallway. Great location

Location is great. Choose this hotel because they state that parking is $47 but it was $65 and if you arrive after 2pm there is $30 surcharge added. the building is older, elevator are extremely slow. Rooms are renovated but still a little musky. But it is a nostalgic old Boston landmark. Used for 1 ngt for back out for a flight next day.Good $$

I liked the location. Easy to access the T. Room could have lamps on night stands. The room was spacious. 611. Disappointed that it didn’t have a restaurant or bar. It did have a guest kitchen with vending machines and free coffee/tea machine

Avoid! this is not a 4 star hotel and therefore waaaay to expensive for what is offered! The staff is extremely rude, even though they had rooms available they would not give it to us before 3pm sharp; the rooms were small, there are no amenities except for a tiny gym with one thread mill, and the one window on the room was dirty outside. Location is great but for sure not wrth the money.

Amenities listed as having a restaurant - never open and front desk does not know the hours. Turned away from the on-site establishments 3 times as well as being told not sure if they are opened on Sunday.

A VERY Tired and shabby hotel, in desperate need of major refurbishment. Room had peeling wallpaper and the carpet was old and filthy. No bed side lamps, tiny towels and no coffee machine. Our friends room smelt of damp and they were moved but no member of staff offered to help them move. Not good enough for $400 per night. On the upside the hotel was in a good location with easy access to activities and shopping areas.

We stayed in this hotel during our week long stay in Boston and it was just the job. The staff were always very friendly and helpful, from checking in till checking out. We arrived early and were just going to drop our bags off and head out, but we were told the room was ready so we could go straight up. The location is fantastic. Just one street back from the shops and restaurants and a couple of minutes walk from the t stop at back bay. The room was spotless and very spacious with everything that you would need (tv, fridge, mini safe, bottled water and soap, shampoo and conditioner in bathroom. There was free coffee all day and night in a little kitchen downstairs along with microwaves and a vending machine. When it came to check out, there as a room to leave your luggage in which was free and locked with a ticket needed to retrieve your luggage. We are thinking of going back to Boston soon and would definitely stay at this hotel again.

I liked the historical charm of the property. The only issue we had was with the tv. Even though there were streaming channels installed, there was no wi-fi connection to the tv. We called for maintenance and he said none of the tvs in hotel were connected to wi-fi. So, pack a tablet or laptop if you want to watch anything good.

The location can't be beat. The room is simple, the bed was comfortable, bathroom was clean. My lower stars are for noise. I could hear neighbors above me and could fully understand my next door neighbor on the phone, as his bed was obviously against the wall with mine. I would stay here again for the price, location, and service, but the noise has to be listed here for an honest review.

For the price and location, this can’t be beat. It’s a historic hotel so rooms are on the smaller side but clean and well appointed. Bathrooms, however, are uncomfortably tiny. There is only one working elevator which is very slow and I used the stairs most of the time (room was on 4th floor)—this might be an issue for some folks to definitely something to think about.

I would make sure NOT to overpay for this hotel. I had a mediocre experience. The location is great, super walkable. However, if your room is facing Exeter street, there will be noise from a nearby bar / club on the weekends, at least until 1-2am. I also noticed security was limited when accessing the hotel; it would be very easy to enter the hotel, take an elevator / stairs up to a room. Rooms have key card security though, so not a huge concern. My room itself was quite dark, with limited lighting fixtures. The cleaning team had done a good job, but the facilities themselves are a bit worn. Bathroom had no fan, so there was some rust on the vanity. Wallpaper was peeled, and the shower floor was cracked near the drain. Beds were nice. The AC / heating unit is quite loud. Again, the room itself was very clean. The condition of the room and bathroom just wasn’t fabulous. Just keep that in mind when you select a rate

Everything was great. We were grateful to be able to check in a couple hours early on a cold, rainy day. Ben at reception was a delight..very efficient and friendly and offered some suggestions for dining on the north end. Hotel was very convenient to all things shopping, food and touring. Would stay again.

Just a one-night stay, but we needed special medical guidance from the lobby staff and the two gentlemen were extremely helpful and supportive in giving us first aid materials and directions to a local clinic. They were very, very warm and friendly. And the hotel overall was pleasant, very well located, and altogether comfortable. We’ll be coming back later this summer.

Staff was great but the general manager is just horrible. First night, I was taking a shower and the tub started to back flow. All the disgusting goo from the stuck pipe started to back flow into the tub so I had to finish my shower with all the nasty stuff . They got someone to come and try to clean it. The guy tried for some time and poured bleach and other stuff down the pipes trying to dissolve what ever was stuck there. They didn’t have another room available so the whole night, the room smelled of bleach. The next morning , I brought up the issue with the General Manager, showing him videos of the whole thing and explaining the situation. His attitude was close to “It’s not my problem” and said he will investigate the situation and get back to me. Absolutely no contact from him for the remaining two days and NO sorry or any sort of compensation what so ever. The attitude and verbal exchange was absolutely frustrating.

I really enjoyed my stay here. I’m obsessed with vintage properties so I knew what I was paying for. The front desk staff was excellent. Street parking was easy for me since I’m city parking savvy. The street noise also didn’t bother me because I’m From a major city. I loved the view of my studio suite and will absolutely stay again when in Boston. Thank you all who work at the Copley.

I was coming in after a long night of travel (arrived around midnight) and had work the following morning. This hotel appeared not to be near any clubs or bars, but there was loud club music that played until nearly 2am that could be heard clearly in the room I was assigned. Check in was also delayed because of a computer problem, the receptionist wasn't able to give me a key for nearly 30 minutes. They kindly walked me to my room though and opened it with a master and brought a key card once the hotel's program was working again. The receptionist, very nice and friendly. The location of the room (first floor near the entrance) was not great due to the noise level. I rarely give hotels a review because it is what it is when staying somewhere, but this was obnoxious.

My flight was cancelled due to severe weather, and I tried multiple times to contact the hotel to update them. Unfortunately, no one answered the phone, and there was no option to leave a voicemail. When my travel agent reached someone at around 11am, they were told that the hotel’s policy does not allow cancellations—even for weather-related disruptions beyond a guest’s control. Despite the situation, the hotel marked my reservation as a “no-show” and charged me a rate higher than the original package price.

Friendly, welcoming staff, Very comfortable bed, perfect size room for a solo traveler, very clean and quiet! I should have called ahead and asked if there was any form of coffee or tea in the room. I could have easily brought my own from home... pour-over cone, my favorite coffee, and my electric teapot... all 3 fitting into a Trader Joe's shopping bag. I didn't click on the "Convenient" tab on this survey because it was "inconvenient" to have to take an elevator or stairs (one elevator was out of service) 7 floors to the lobby for that first cup in the morning. That's just not a pleasant experience any morning, anywhere! And I should have sipped it before I carried it back to my room... the coffee was hot, but that's about the only nice thing I can say about that particular moment of by brief stay. I considered that perhaps the hotel would like to support the local business/coffee shops, and that they have probably slashed costs by cutting out in-room coffee/tea... but for the price of one night stay? Yes, I was expecting in room coffee and tea. Not fabulous... just convenient. Pressed is a very short walk, yay! But still... that first cup! I don't like to see or hear other humans until after that first cup.

Great base to explore Boston - on foot and using the excellent public transport including the T subway. Bed was very comfortable and the hotel was quiet. I thought the lack of an in house bar and dining was a shame as last time this was on offer. The guest kitchen although clean was pretty soulless . The bar on site was run by external provider and had no atmosphere and no customers much. A very expensive beer .

Says it's a 4* hotel, it definitely is not. Lovely old building, but rooms are sparsely furnished with no amenities and look very tired. Expected a coffee machine in the room for a 4* hotel, instead there was a vending machine off reception serving cheap disgusting instant coffee (even the receptionist seemed embarrassed about how bad it was).

Neat stay at a historic property. Has the old property quirks like a slow elevator and creaky, uneven floors, but that's part of the charm. Easy check in at the desk. Very convenient to walk downtown everywhere. There is a market just across the street for any snacks you may want. No coffee in the room, but down in the lobby.
