Police were in the lobby arresting people with weapons drawn. Outside of that (and other visits from the police for other issues). Our room reeked of cigarettes, the ice machines were broken, the floors were dirty, and our bathroom had a hole in the wall. We had to check out early.

Upon arrival, the room key didn\'t work so I had to go to the front desk several times to get the room key re-programmed. The front desk person was pleasant, but not apologetic. Another staff person told me that the room keys are frequently a problem, so it was not unique to me. It turns out it was not the key programming, but the door lock system. The entire room door access system needs to be repaired or replaced hotel-wide. I stayed for three nights and was never confident that I\'d be able to get into my room because the key never worked on the first try. The bedroom was dated and in need of renovation. The wooden furniture is gouged, chipped, and scratched. There was a hole in a lampshade. There was a hole in the wall where a hook may have once been. The hot water was lukewarm, not hot. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were sufficient, so I was able to sleep fine. The tv is a Roku system, which took some getting used to. Free wi-fi, but with no password needed, so I question the security of the wi-fi. No breakfast, just coffee. I will not be staying at this hotel again. My mistake for choosing to stay at "Red Roof Inn", which I confused with "Residence Inn".

The biggest surprise was there wasn’t a refrigerator in the room. The beds were worn and springy. There were at least a couple of abandoned vehicles in the parking lot. The entrance into the hotel was worn. The front doors were in disrepair and the pavement leading to the doors was in rough shape. Otherwise, the room was in good working condition. Much of the deficiencies are typical at this low price point.

I came from out of state to seemy family. This was my first and last time staying at this hotel. First of all, the check in process was tedious. There was nobody at the front desk when i walked in, so i waited and waited. Then the phone rang and I thought surely someone would come, but nope. Then i finally yelled and someone came to check me in. I had reserved this room online, but still had an application to fill out. Now mind you, I'm tired from traveling and dragging my luggage and packages. Then another page and they wanted info on my rental car. It's a rental and i did not know all this info. Got my keys and dragged everything up to my room. Neither of the keys worked which added to my annoyance, and i had to drag everything back down to get new keys as there was nobody on the floor and no hall phone. Finally got into my room and there was no refrigerator. So i took a trash bag and went to the ice maker so i can keep my beverages cold. The sign on the ice maker stated that the only working ice maker was in the lobby. Great! Now i have to get dressed and go back down. I asked the front desk where the ice maker was and told him that my room didn't have a refrigerator, he replied that it's because i reserved the "standard" room. Smh. So i went to the ice maker and it basically fell apart on me. And it was dirty! The shower in my room had mold on the ceiling, the fixtures, the wall. And there was no cable, only a roku that i had to sign into my own accounts. Unacceptable

When we left for dinner, we saw another guest trying unsuccessfully to get their card to work. When we returned from dinner our card no longer worked. I have never stayed in a red roof inn like this one.When we got there we were really tired from being on the road for over 7 hours because of rain storm and accidents in Pennsylvania as were traveling from Maryland .When you get in the elevator it stinked and ripped like spilled alcohol,we get in the room and it also stinked ,my wife suffer from severe allergies and she started sneezing right away,went to take a shower and the shower rod was falling off so the floor gets wet,no ice in the ice machines by your room because they only have 1 ice machine working and it's in the lobby.I could go on and on with the bad quality of this hotel and I was kind of surprised because I have stayed at red roof inn before and never got a room like this. I had made reservations for 2 days but we left as soon as we got up , I didn't even had the energy to stop by the front desk and check out early because I believe they are well aware of the poor quality of service they provide.We will never visit that red roof in Meridian Connecticut and if your thinking about staying there I recommend you don't. Thank you..

Room was filthy and had obviously been smoked in, only the bed linen was changed everything else appeared to have gone ignored for quite a long while. Mattress felt hard as a rock! When I mentioned these things at the front desk they didn’t seem to care.

The hotel is not suitable for people to stay. We pulled into parking space and saw broken and stained shades from the outside of the windows. When we went into our room, the smell of must or mold overcame you. It increased when we used the air conditioning. The towels were hard and scratchy and the bed skirt had a stain on it. The bed was comfortable but the sheets smelled like the red of the room and my husband woke up with bug bites. My thought is that some people live in the hotel.

1st off I didn't know where to turn be cause the location. Does not have a noticeable banner to indicate location. 2nd checking in was a struggle. He couldn't find my reservation. 3rd the place smell like wet clothes and cinnamon. 4th room was ok but as soon as you walk in the AC is off and the room smells musty, the bathroom was not dated with a tub with mildew. The beds were hard and very uncomfortable. Rug was musty and floors slippery from the low circulation. Overall all I will not step foot in this location again.

The bathroom was visibly dirty, when housekeeping came in to the room on the next day no effort was made to clean it. The toilet has mold stains that could have been easily cleaned. Mold build up doesn't happen overnight, so this was days in the making. There was long hair on the shower wall. The mirror over the sink had water and toothpaste stains. They could have definitely tried harder.

This was a nice property at one time, but is now not being maintained very well. The room and common areas were not very clean, and the halls stunk like strong incense. We had two rooms and our friends room when they checked in had pee and something else (?) nasty in the toilet, dirty clothes in the closet, and something wrapped in foil still in the fridge. They moved them to another room but wouldn't compensate us for the inconvenience and exposure to that disgusting room. The staff was not at all friendly or accommodating. On this trip out east we stayed in many hotels much better than this one for half the price.

The place definitely felt run down and outdated. It was dark and felt dingy. Not very welcoming. It felt grimy. There was garbage on the floor, including in the elevator. And the walls are very thin. I could the tv next door all night. The bed was ok but the pillows were not comfortable, making for a fairly sleepless night. I wouldn't recommend this place.

initially checked in and got up to our room on the 4th floor. as soon as you got off the elevator, you could hear music from another room. it was our direct neighbor. we walked in our room and immediately walked out to ask for a different room because the walls were literally vibrating. moved us to the 2nd floor because that’s all they had. got up to the room about 30 mins later (they were still cleaning it) and it was ok. there was some sort of clear-whiteish smudge on the closet door but aside from that room was fine. only stayed for a single night.

I have been staying at this property for decades as it has gone through various names and ownership. What was once an affordable, nice hotel has gone down hill in a major way over the past couple years and I can say, definitively, that I won't be staying here again. The rooms have not been updated in years and are definitely showing wear and tear. The beds are wildly uncomfortable, and the bedding and towels are sub-par at best. The staff is rude & unhelpful and the amenities are basically non-existent. Do yourself a favor and stay elsewhere.

There is no “full service” to the rooms. The only thing they will do is take out the trash and leave clean towels. I discovered this because the first night we stayed, I asked the front desk around 9:30AM if we needed to put something on the door for the room to be cleaned, and she said not that they are on the floor now. When we arrived back between 10-11, the room was the same way we left it. I called front desk and they said they do not do full service. Then the manager called back and said we would need to tell them before 12 if we want our room serviced, so I told him we just talked to someone that morning. He then said he would make sure that it would be done the next day. Of course, when we got back to the hotel the next day, same thing-room was left the same way we left it. I called down to the front desk and they said they do not do full service unless it’s once a week for longer stays. During check out the next morning, I was told I would get a call to discuss and to this day I have yet to receive a call. We checked in on 9/6 and checked out on 9/9. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone and will not be returning.

Unfortunately, this was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in in my lifetime. First, the pictures are very deceiving. The hotel does NOT look as nice as the pictures. They need to take some new pictures as the current pictures are false advertisement. Upon entering the hotel, the automated door was practically falling apart (that should have been a sign for me). Check in was okay, though the manager was yelling at the other worker for something. I use to work in hotel management and that should not be done in front of guest. Elevator was filthy and smelled old and was run down. Room was "okay", but I know I booked a superior room which looked bigger than the room I had. The room had water stains on the ceiling, stains on the wall, hair in the fridge (how does that happen?) and toilet. The toilet was literally on the ground. It felt like was going out in the woods. Shower was dirty and uncleanly. The only thing that was good, was the bed was comfortable. The walls were super thin, so you could hear everything next door and above you. Super LOUD at night. Doors are so close together, you can hear people coming in and out and doors were loud and slammed. If you are sensitive to noise, this is not the hotel for you. I prefer a quiet, nice and safe hotel. Parking lot was very shady and attracted lots of shady characters and things going on and I just didn't feel safe in that hotel. It was a dump and will NEVER stay at a Red Roof Inn ever.

Staff is unfriendly and unprofessional. Front desk clerk pushed my keycard at me and said “Here” to conclude the check in process with me. keycards/locks on doors don’t work properly as we had to try the card a half dozen times times to get it to work. When we left for dinner, we saw another guest trying unsuccessfully to get their card to work. When we returned from dinner our card no longer worked. I went back to the front desk to get it replaced and the staff member there silently tok my card from me and returned it—no hello, no apology, no have a good night, nothing but silence. Fortunately it worked this time but we decided not to leave the room agsin.

Took us about half an hour to check in bc computer systems had a glitch! After getting our key we ended up walking into someone else’s room! Thank god nobody was in there at the time. Went back down and woman at front desk was like “oh”!! After getting new keys we had to have them give us new keys 5x. Finally had to have maintenance come and let me in. Worst experience ever. Hair in bathroom tub and all over blow dryer. Room smells like cigarettes.

The location of the hotel itself isn't bad, but the entrance to the hotel property isn't obvious and getting in and out can be a bit tight for two vehicles when the hotel is busy, as it was during my stay, they were sold out. For an older property my room and the hotel was very clean and well kept. Honestly one of the better rooms I've stayed in. The staff was friendly. I was also informed by the manager that the hotel will be renevated over the next year, still my room was in very good condition and everything was clean. For a busy hotel it was quiet at night and I slept well. Many people were staying there to attend local graduations. It was also one of the best priced hotels in the area at $135 +tax for the night, with other hotels in that same area going for $250 to just over $300 for the night, even one I stayed at a month ago that had gone from $140 per night now charging $290 per night for this weekend. At least Redroof Inn did not raise their prices to gouge people just becuase its graduaion season, and I greatly appreciate that.

1st off I didn't know where to turn be cause the location. Does not have a noticeable banner to indicate location. 2nd checking in was a struggle. He couldn't find my reservation. 3rd the place smell like wet clothes and cinnamon. 4th room was ok but as soon as you walk in the AC is off and the room smells musty, the bathroom was not dated with a tub with mildew. The beds were hard and very uncomfortable. Rug was musty and floors slippery from the low circulation. Overall all I will not step foot in this location again.

Like many hotels, this location is close to the interstate. A bit noisy at at night with the truck traffic. We asked to be moved to the other side of the hall where the king beds were, and it was much better. The bed wasn't made every day and I found that a little strange. Overall, for the price and convenient location, it was a value.

Upon arrival, the room key didn\'t work so I had to go to the front desk several times to get the room key re-programmed. The front desk person was pleasant, but not apologetic. Another staff person told me that the room keys are frequently a problem, so it was not unique to me. It turns out it was not the key programming, but the door lock system. The entire room door access system needs to be repaired or replaced hotel-wide. I stayed for three nights and was never confident that I\'d be able to get into my room because the key never worked on the first try. The bedroom was dated and in need of renovation. The wooden furniture is gouged, chipped, and scratched. There was a hole in a lampshade. There was a hole in the wall where a hook may have once been. The hot water was lukewarm, not hot. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were sufficient, so I was able to sleep fine. The tv is a Roku system, which took some getting used to. Free wi-fi, but with no password needed, so I question the security of the wi-fi. No breakfast, just coffee. I will not be staying at this hotel again. My mistake for choosing to stay at "Red Roof Inn", which I confused with "Residence Inn".

It was OK. Nothing special. Heat/Air Conditioner was either freezing or sweltering. Staff was great. Coffee in the AM wasn't great and only Coffeemate. Maybe some half and half would help. Great dog friendly place though...that was a big plus!

The room was clean, but the rest of the place was a time capsule from 1993… Very dark colors and very outdated… Outside of the hotel needs maintenance… Cracked and chipped sidewalks… Not at all horrible and pretty good if you’re just looking for a quick night sleep but definitely not amazing

Very friendly staff, bed was harder than expected and the pillows were basically throw pillows not real pillows. Shower had very little pressure. But the rooms were clean, the AC worked well and it helped with resting after a long drive.
