AMAZING HOTEL! We walked in and immediately felt happy. Valet parking was only $17/day. And the staff was amazing!! We checked in and were given warm cookies!!! We were given the 9th floor and the room was VERY clean. Large room. A little section for the coffee machine and fridge. Pool was great! Hot tub as well. Gym was clean. Towels available at the pool. We paid for breakfast to be included and the staff was very kind. The food was great each morning. Highly recommend staying at this hotel.

The hotel was nice and felt fairly updated. Fairly reasonable rates for my stay in fall. Self parking 9/25 was $12 across the street or $17 valet. If you self park on level 3 there’s a catwalk across the street to the hotel. You can also unload at the curb and go park if you have more that you can carry. Pool was large. It offered food in the restaurant and a hot breakfast for a fee. Also conference rooms where a baby shower was happening on this weekend. Staff was attentive. Only thing I didn’t love is the train that goes by fairly close to the hotel. It’s noticeable. It did not keep me up or wake me up, however so they might not run at night.

The carpet needs to be replaced in the rooms, but more importantly that pool was so gross today. There were dead cockroaches floating in the pool along with other floating scum. The entire bottom of the pool was filthy. When I was walking around barefoot, my feet were turning black between my chair and putting my toes in. There is not a single umbrella outside and it’s 105° and solid sun all day long. The hotel itself is OK but if you’re going there for a swim, pick a different hotel.

Hotel is dirty & smells horrible. Women’s long hair all over the room. Super dusty carpet and furniture. Small rooms. Not handicap accessible, as they claim to be. You have to pay for parking and breakfast. Jacuzzi out of order. Disappointed.

Room was very dated and had moles on the ceiling and also the wall. Mattress were old and was sagging. Carpets were dirty. 2nd day we noticed they gave us dirty towels and bed wasn't even made right. They also chaged $12 dollars a day for self parking located crossed street. You have to pay everything even the self serving coffee in the lobby. Just not a good hotel.

I traveled to Modesto for work. After dealing with my delayed flight due to the government shut down, I checked in and went into my room just to see it was disgusting. There were towels that had stains on them from either not being properly washed or they were not changed at all. There shower toiletries in the shower left from the previous guest which makes me think the shower was not even cleaned. Lastly the pillows were stained so I threw them on the floor and didnt touch them again. I was so tired from my day of traveling and drained so I just went to bed. I complained about it the next morning and the lady at the front desk apologized and said it would be addressed and my room would be in order when I returned from my day. Well it was not. Nothing was changed. DONT stay here unless you like to deal with liars. - Thank you

The lobby was nice. Staff was great, but the room was awful. Old mildew smell , very humid in the room to the point the windows were just dripping. If you open the window to get some air then the wind would howl from underneath the door to the room.

I have stayed at this property numerous times in the past and have seen decline over the years. the entire facility smelled as soon as you walked in the door. the AC was inadequate for the room even though it was only about 85 degrees outside. The worst part was when we pulled back the sheets, there were several spots of blood on the bed and pillows.

Rooms could be updated to be more modern/ iser friendly. Old bath tib/shower and vanity in bathroom. The tv was only cable no internet options. The staff was very helpful and attentive to any needs I had Restaurant and bar had a decent selection The meals were very well prepared and tasty.

The room was nice and the bedding was good with plenty of pillows. It was nice having an easy-to-program thermostat and that little nightlight in the bathroom. But we missed having a microwave, at least on the same floor. And the fridge needed some serious defrosting.

These rooms are in dire need of upgrades. The doors don't lock. The air conditioning is horrible. I shouldn't be sweating when just sitting there, and the AC is supposedly at the highest fan speed and the lowest temperature setting. Not being able to sleep because it's so hot is a sure way of running your entire stay.

Hotel was clean, staff friendly. Rooms are spacious but bathroom needs wider sink top. It's uncomfortable for two people to share small sink countertop. Toilet did not flush properly, had to hold handle all the way. There's no microwave and AC did seem to work right.

I enjoyed the high floor room. It was a beautiful view of the city. The bar area was enjoyable too. The staff were friendly. The only issue we had was the AC stopped working the last night we were there, but staff was informed so hopefully it’ll be fixed quick!

The booking process was easy and everything went right. From the check in to the check out this hotel was a fabulous experience. Our waiter, Ron, at the hotel restaurant was so professional and fun for two weary travelers. The Doubletree cookies were delicious!! What a great place to be on Easter Sunday. It was happening!!!

There is someone out there that might do the job better if you don’t like it. Find something that you like so your not rude to other people.

The Check in was Terrible , I visit the Hotel at least x2 a month and the check-in guy was very rude an i believe racially biased , he didn't check the white gentlemen's ID but checked mines , He sees me often so its not like he doesn't know who i am as a Frequent Customer.

We could get hold of any bellman or the carrier card to take in stuff and when we were leaving same thing. It took then an hour to bring us carrier and another half an hour to bring our car from Valet. The room was dirty and super noisy. We were traveling with an infant son and it was a horrible experience. They are non responsive

This was our 2nd stay in 2 weeks. Our vet is located in Modesto. The staff was exceptional and kind. Dino at the front desk remembered us. He was so helpful and accommodating. The hotel is under renovation, but the staff is very helpful and professional under the circumstances.

Nice hotel, close to and walkable to the restaurants and venue we attended. Check in was a bit odd, people kept cutting in line to ask questions or to purchase items. I'm surprised staff didn't hold them back to serve those who were patiently in line. Hotel is well maintained, clean and safe. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need. I did not use the pool but looked like the hot tub was out of order, pool area and is of good size. There is a parking fee, as well as a fee for valet parking. I didn't expect the train to make as much noise as it did, so be prepared for the train to make noise at night or early morning. Depending on the day of the week, Saturday night brings in a lot of bar and club goers, and you hear a lot of police sirens late on Sat night. They do have a nice bar downstairs. I recommend you get your drinks earlier in the day. At night it seems like people are loud and hard to find a place to si or to order a drink. We ended up sitting inside the restaurant to get drink. Inside it was much quieter and calm. Staff was really nice and welcoming. Team member Rom I believe did a great job by seating us and getting a server to us. Staff looked really busy, but they made sure we got everything we needed. Staff over all was a fun group to chat when they had a second to stop and check on us. They do have a restaurant and serve food up to about 10 pm which is nice. Overall a good place, great cookies!

The location was perfect to attend an event at the Gallo. Had fun walking around downtown Modesto, looking at meals, etc. and there was some good eats. The hotel was clean. The staff was friendly. It was a good breakfast, but I was under the impression I got a free breakfast because that’s what my reservation said and I did not so beware of that. Otherwise I will return.

Property was nice. There’s a train that comes by and the horn went off at 10 pm and 6am pretty loud. Then the rooms AC had a rattling sound and then one of the elevators was ringing nonstop. Finally it got fixed. Also when we arrived the parking lot was packed and no one could move there car as thsomeone left there car blocking the turn in to check at the front to check in. Turns out the valet had the keys and although saw all the cars decided to not move it until we said something and then he says there’s no parking in valet so we need to park somewhere else?! People were trying to check in- poorly managed as he proceeds to say he is the manager

The stay was enjoyable. We were comfortable in our room and staff was friendly . However Ron at Maxis was the best ! He was personal and friendly . He actually took the time to get to know us to make us feel welcomed . My only complaint is that weren’t mircowaves in each room for guests.

We stayed here for Yosemite. But the distance is too far to the national park. In downtown Modesto, but the city itself has zero attractions. The hotel is good, with the same quality as the other DoubleTree in big cities. The breakfast is fantastic! Must try.

The staff at this Hilton were generally friendly, and the breakfast was decent—your standard all-you-can-eat buffet with a good variety, though a bit overpriced. The location is convenient, and there’s a nearby garage where you can park for $12 if you want to avoid valet. That said, the hotel has some issues that made our stay less enjoyable. The room had a sliding bathroom door with no lock and no counter space, which made getting ready a bit of a hassle. Our AC wasn’t working, so we had to sleep with the windows open.
