Sisk Hotel

It is difficult to evaluate this property, because it is undergoing a major remodel (and rebranding I think). Everthing from the lobby and front desk to the breakfast room seemed to be in temporary locations. There was no outdoor signage indicating the location and name of the hotel. Fortunately,we used to live in Modesto and knew from the address where it was supposed to be. The room and the hall areas are large, but several items in our room did not work. We would need to chec back in 6 months to do an honest evaluation.

The pool was dirty and had a film on it the hot tub did not work at all, when something was said to the front desk about it they really didn't seem to care or understand what we were saying. The Wi-Fi didn't work upstairs or even in the building we were in

The property is under construction, I understand but i think it has been under construction for like 2 years. The hotel does not have a real lobby area it looks a bet unorganized. The room was ok we had room 101 its dark very minimal lighting. Our neighbors had a very lengthy fight that got very load the next morning there was another altercations that was loud.

Hot tub did not work, was looking forward tk it😞

The outside needs approvement big time. Breakfast pastries was nasty no taste needs improvement. Got to the room our window was open did not like that and the door we go in with our key was unlocked so anybody could have walked through the door to get to any room in there that needs to be fixed

Under Construction

The hotel is under renovation, very rundown and kind of gloomy feeling. My room had an electrical issue, half of the lights and outlets didn’t work, including the entire wall the TV was on.

We arrived late. The front desk staff was great. The laundry facilities were on the far side and there was no elevator. It felt unsafe going to the laundry as it was behind the door that was kept locked at night at the office. There were multiple entrance points that weren't locked. There were a few men in the parking lot drinking when we arrived. The room was spacious and clean. The pull out bed was horrible. The freeway was very close and loud. The towels were thin and the shower was way too short and loud.

One of the main doors we went into wasn’t securely closing, so how is that good for security? And then they put us in a room by where everybody goes out and smokes. It smelled nasty.

The hotel cleanliness was not there. The carpets/floors in the hallways were stained and it smelled like cigarette even though its a non smoking facility. Our room was average, you get what you pay for. I would not stay here again.

Well the room was dirty smelling to begin with also hair in bathroom sink then The top of it was a roach ran across the room when we turned on the bed light.

There was no hot water no water pressure in our room stepped on a fishhook. None of the staff knew what a fishhook was. Had to change rooms across to another building hotel was under construction, very dirty, feeling carpets were filthy did not feel safe in the locked doors at all

First, I had a hard time finding this hotel. GPS took me to this rundown building that had another hotel name on it. Finally I found an entrance with huge hand painted signs with arrows pointing to the entrance. It was weird, it didn't look a lobby just a grimy hallway that revealed the reception desk. The main reason for my low score was an intense odor of mold or mildew - probably from the grimy carpet. It made feel physically ill. It was hard to breath so I asked for a refund. They said no. So I quickly left the hotel. Gross! Expedia's photos and reviews were very misleading.

It is supposedly being remodeled but I didn't see any evidence of that. The carpet everywhere was disgustingly filthy. Everything in the refrigerator froze solid.

The hotel was very clean and very comfortable. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

The staff was very helpful upon check-in. When we went to our room, we walked in and saw there was no curtain… we were on the ground floor facing the parking lot. I went back to ask to switch rooms because there was no curtain and the front desk clerk asked if we touched or used anything, then said “okay, I could give it to some drunk person without having it cleaned first.” He gave us a new room which was still on the ground floor but at least it had a curtain this time. We woke up, checked out, and I went about my day. I was constantly scratching my right side, my arms, and legs thinking it was the heat… I realized I had bites all over my body in zig-zags and line patterns. The hotel room had bed bugs. It took hours to get in touch with a manager, and once I finally did, he asked how so knew they were bed bugs, told me that he didn’t know where the bed bugs came from, and said he could not give me a refund but could give me a free night’s stay in another one of their lovely rooms. I declined and asked when their last pest inspection was in which the manager responded, “I’m not sure but I know they come about every three months and we’ll probably be having a visit tomorrow because of this. You’ll have to talk to the owner to convince him to give you a refund though, I can’t do anything on my end besides offer a complimentary stay…” I declined again and it’s safe to say I will not be returning to this property, complimentary stay or not.

The place was gross and had a weird smell. I came home to find I had bites on my ankles from the room. One of the electric doors didn’t even work so someone could have gotten in. Do not recommend to anyone in the area

This hotel has taken care of us and made our stay as comfortable as possible. Clean rooms and clean bathrooms. You can’t beat the awesome housekeepers and front desk employees.

Disappointed with the overall condition of the property. Rooms were clean, though we had several visiting insects (beetle, there ear wigs) in the room. Chair at desk was torn at the side, while the lounge chair was dirty and stained, with a glued on matching patch of fabric on the arm. Room was not adequately lit even with the two small headboard lamps (flashlight sized) and one pole lamp with underpowered lights on in the room. No luggage rack/stand, torn curtains.

Customer service is always great. Our only complaint is room was very dark, even with all lights on. Really need an other lamp, some of us wear glasses for a reason and trying also to apply make up.

We didn’t have any cold water for our shower, it only had hot water that was way to hot and couldn’t adjust, the AC was not working. Needs improvement. Please fix.

From the outside the place looks a little shady and under construction.The hallways are really outdated but the rooms were nice and roomy and also modern. The bed was comfortable. My mom also stayed in a handicapped room and she said the bathroom was really roomy and the shower was easy for her to access. She is partially paralyzed and it was a breeze for her to shower by herself. The receptionist was really nice and helpful. The breakfast buffet was so so but did the job. My son went to the pool and it had chip bags floating in it and there were alcoholic beverages on some the tables but I chalk that up to people not cleaning up after themselves. We will be back.

We stayed in a Jacuzzi suite. The hot tub was very nice but it didn't even have a plug. All in all the room was nice. The AC did not work properly though by the bedroom and the breakfast was horrible. Nothing was restocked and it did not taste. Very good. Staff was very nice and generous.

You could hear the traffic on Hwy 99. The room, although was clean, was tattered and dated. Ripped cushions on the furniture, peeling wallpaper, chipped paint. The entire facility smelled strongly of PineSol which gave me a headache. The breakfast was mainly prepackaged items. I stayed here 8 years ago and was impressed so I didn't hesitate this time. I will never stay here again.

The room was really clean and spacious. We were given a room near the entrance which was a nightmare. If you're a light sleeper every time someone goes in or out of that entrance you will hear it and not be able to sleep. The door has a large gap at the bottom and covering it a towel is not enough to block the noise.

Son and I reserved a room because we didn’t want to drive all the way home to south valley late at night. Checked in at 12:30 am. Lobby is being renovated. Staff was arguing loudly in nearby break room next to buffet area that looked like it was under construction. The entire property had a smell like it used to be a sketchy hotel but they were trying to upgrade it. Walked to room through hallway w/security door. Stinky hallway. Lots of doors had cosmetic damage. Lighting was dim. Room blinds were broken, so couldn’t even crack a window to vent the stuffy air. Son and I said, forget this, and we drove home instead of staying. Will seek refund, but $100 deposit suggests this is still a sketchy place wanting to be better. Front desk guy was nice at check in, though.

Worst hotel stay ever . The reserved room was given to someone else. No , the arrival was not beyond the check in time . The clerk allowed us to register , sent us to a room that was occupied. Hotel is full. Oh by the way we are keeping your prepaid fees and deposit. Wrong !! Refund is required !

Room was clean and the lady at the front desk was very nice had great customer service

Convenient to where I needed to be. Like the fact that shopping was very walkable and the property was very clean in the staff was very kind and helpful.

I enjoyed my stay here, but what i dont understand is why does it take 3 to 5 business days to return the $100 deposit? when it takes only seconds to receive my money from my account. The deposit should be returned right away, just like the payment for the room

The front desk lady was very friendly and listened to my concerns. The breakfast was good for the kids. The staff were very kind and friendly.

The staff was very helpful except the receptionist at night. When I came to rest from work the room was not clean! So I went to the lobby to let him know about it; He replied In a rude mood that wasn’t no body to help. He didn’t check if was another clean room available. Was the only think I wasn’t happy. Everything was comfortable and accommodating. Really caught me by surprise. Near a lot of essential establishments like, restaurants, gas stations and grocery stores. Prime location.

Noisy by the freeway other than that really well kept spot with nice clean rooms

Thieves were casing my car while I was trying to check in. The hotel is a mess. They couldn't find luggage carts to load in luggage. I literally drove away rather than check in.

L'hotel è in ristrutturazione. La hall è spostata in altra struttura collegata e posta al lato corridoio. La colazione viene servita dentro due ex camere da letto collegate comunicanti. La qualità della colazione scarsa. Il receptionist credo avesse fumato troppo!!! Non trovava la prenotazione, ci ha dato indicazioni non corrette ed alla richiesta di un asciugacapelli che non era disponibile in camera, ci ha risposto che avrebbe contattato il manager. La mattina dopo per avere l'asciugacapelli siamo dovuti tornare alla reception e ci è stato consegnato dalla signora delle pulizie. La camera assegnata al piano terra era molto spaziosa, con ampio bagno.

It look like this property was a very beautiful motel at one time but right now it requires a big remodel, no I don't recommend this motel at this time. The rooms are large it was clean, but it requires a nice remodeling , breakfast was terrible I will give it a three of 10 points, I really don't recommend this hotel at this time

This hotel was a work in progress when I was there -- lots of makeshift furniture in the lobby areas, some of it old/worn. My room was very nice, even though the shade/blind was broken and there were stains on the chair. Bathroom very nice. The breakfast was lame. I'm a cereal eater and all they had were children's cereals (Cocoa puffs and frosted flakes) There were hot items that were frozen items they heated. Thankfully, there were bananas and tangerines. Management needs to check out some of the other major chains that have few items, but a better selection. It was as if the management had never stayed in a hotel before.

It was evident this hotel is under remodeling. And if so, this will again be a top stop destination. The checkin staff was excellent, very polite and very helpful. The linens, bedding, and even the mattress were of superior quality for this grade hotel. Breakfast was tasty, again superior to most hotels in this price point. I was able to overlook flaws by knowing they were being worked on, and had a good nights stay.
