Room was clean. Bed wasn’t the best. Great for a one night stay if you are going to an event at sofi. We had two cars one was free to park and the second was 25.00 This was the way to go . We weren’t in all the chaos of parking and trying to get out of the venue after the concert.

Checking out, I was informed by front desk staff that I had damaged the bathroom door so half my (cash) deposit was to be forfeited. No idea what she was talking about. I did not damage the door. I never kicked it or threw anything at it. Never slammed it. In fact, as I'd been alone in the room & saw no need to SHUT the door while showering or peeing (the only things I used the bathroom for), I literally never so much as CLOSED the door. So I KNOW I did not damage it. So I asked the clerk to show me. We went and went in; I was immediately relieved as there was clearly nothing wrong w/the door; a mistake had been made & surely would shortly be satisfactorily resolved. That was my expectation. However, after CLOSE scrutiny, as it was barely discernible , she pointed out to me a small spiderweb of a crack in the paint on the lower half of the interior side of the bathroom door, at most a couple of square inches in size & so thin it was hardly visible. This was the "damage"' that cost half my deposit. Ridiculous. I protested. She insisted the door was "not like that before," without providing any evidence of such. I asked for the manager. He was not in. I asked for his name so I could call later. She did not know his name. I asked when he would be in. Not for several days I was told. Could I have a receipt that detailed these "damages?" No I could not. I was without recourse as how does one prove a negative & EVEN IF I scratched the paint how was that $__ in damage? SCAM!!!
