Villas Coral Huatulco

Loved the Hospitality, the front desk and most certainly the Housekeeper staff was excellent!!! The dinning staff was also very good. Pool drink Service was almost non existent. Even when walking over to the bar there at times were no bar tenders present . Require a few more poolside lounger chairs as between 2 pools there are only 10 . There is a nice empty patio just a couple steps away from the upper pool which a great place to put a few more loungers. Rooms have no refrigerator to keep a few cold items.

Although this hotel has no beachfront, Arricito beach is an easy 10 minute walk away. Beautiful views from the rooms and 2 pools which are not busy. Quite a few stairs up and down to the rooms and lobby. Staff are very friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

Las instalaciones en general son agradables y limpias, el menú de alimentos es muy bueno y los precios también. Como observaciones algunas losetas de ambas albercas están despegadas lo que genera accidentes y el que no permitan elegir entre buffet o a la carta los fines de semana.

El personal es muy amable y atento con los huéspedes, el estado general del hotel es muy bueno solo considera que hay muchas escaleras así que no es muy amigable para personas mayores o con dificultades de movilidad. Las albercas están muy lindas pero con bastantes químicos por lo que pueden irritarte la piel o los ojos

I’ve room but hotel lacked any character. Not unexpected for a new build area. Infinity pool overlooking the beach was lovely but the second pool was built in a car parking area but the horrible second more modern block. Try and get a room in the older block! There is nothing in the local area other than a 10 minute walk to a local beach - which did have a restaurant it this closed early. However cabs were cheap and plentiful - from the hotel to the town square was 85pesos.

No wi-fi, and little-to-no water for showers was a big issue in our room. Upon repeated trips to the front desk the staff and mgr did nothing...until day 4 when we were offered another room...but at an additional cost of $850mxn ($60cad) per night. Also the hotel has 2 beautiful pools, however area for only 5 loungers at poolside...if you are the 6th person you get nothing but a towel on concrete. The hotel is in a nice location, and workable if you are doing day trips and adventures, but don't count on it if plan to spend time at the hotel itself. The food is just OK in the restaraunt, drinks over-priced in the bar.

All the staff were good apart from the check in team which could have done better - these first impressions matter.

Me parece un poco pequeño, con muchas escaleras, el personal muy agradable y servicial, las albercas estan muy agradables pero el horario de usarlas me parece un poco restringido. Y pues no tiene playa, si bajas un poco al mar, pero es muy rocoso y picado. En general agradable todo.

It was a short stay but we were happy how clean this place was. We loved the infinity pool from where we saw whales in the distance. Hotel was clean and comfortable. I wish the rooms had small fridges and safe but for the short stay we managed without it

This was a really really nice place to relax by the pool, . However, since there are only about 10 pool chairs and often none were unoccupied. Service staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, including restaurant staff. Food quality generally good if a bit inconsistent. Restaurant prices were in line with other restaurants in the area. The only downside for us was that we didn't have a car and the was almost no shopping or other restaurants within an easy walk.

El agua de las albercas sucia, se pusieron a fumigar cerca de la alberca mientras la usabamos, el desayuno terrible y el personal algunos amables y otros groseros. Considerar como ultima opcion, hay mejores opciones en la zona.

Muy bonita vista al mar y habitaciones muy limpias

Ambas albercas muy sucias, deben poner más atención a éste asunto

El hotel muy limpio, personal muy amable, bonita vista desde el mirador y bastante tranquilo para tener unos días de relajamiento, me imagino que fue porque estuvimos en temporada baja y por eso había poca gente, por momentos tuvimos una de las albercas prácticamente para nosotros solos. A 300 metros se encuentra la playa el Arrocito, la cual también tuvo poca gente y estuvo muy tranquila, ideal para andar con niños, agua trasparente de hecho el segundo día cerca de las rocas pudimos ver muchos peces sin necesidad de usar snorkel. Lo único que mejoraría un poco es el servicio del restaurante que es un poco lento el segundo día tardaron alradedor de 50 minutos para servir nuestros alimentos, siendo que solo había comensales en tres mesa, pero los sabores y porciones muy bien. Lo recomiendo

Very clean. We left tips for the cleaners but they never accepted them, so we just kept adding to it until the last day. Restaurant food was absolutely delicious... the service was poor... took a long time to get coffee or drinks even. The staff were very friendly but they dont go out of their way... if you enjoy drinking by the pool, they wont come to the pool to see if you want beverages. Even though outside liquor is prohibited. So we were very displeased that we would have to get out of the pool, walk down stairs and around the corner to get to the bar to get a drink. Even when at the bar, when we would approach the bar we often werent greeted. I waited while the staff talked to one another, as to not interrupt. Then when done I would ask them if I could order a drink. I speak Spanish so it was easy for me to communicate. But i found the service was poor. They are very Friendly but very unattentive and that is unfortunate because this place has some nice features. A beautiful view and short walk to playa arrocito. For us, we would rather stay in an air b and b, because it will be cheaper, and i felt like i served myself drinks most of the time. There are lots of stairs. NO RAMPS. I am not mobility challenged, but this place is not for those folks. We had peoples laundry showing up on our patio from the suites above us. Who were drying laundry. Which is minor to us. But might bug someone else. Would come here to eat again but likely not stay.

I saw a rat running from the kitchen on the breakfast time an dont have cold water on the room only hot an liitle water coming from the shower

Excelente lugar solo que nadamas tiene 7 canales en la tv sugiero chequen ese dato y no es tan buena su señal de wifi. Fuera de eso muy buen lugar para hospedarse

Muy bien todo, excepto el edifico de abajo que esta la bodega, hay demasiado ruido siempre, sacan cosas, hablan, lavan.

Great service, from everyone working there, clean your room everyday, only bad thing is that i never got hot water on 1 restroom even after i complained a few times, so i just gave up. Had a 9 month old baby thats why that mattered.

It was mostly a good experience but was surprised that we had a kitchenette with no utensils. They gave us the bare minimum only when we asked for it. A microwave would have been a real asset. There was no hot water which we are told is not unusual for Mexico. The surroundings were impeccably clean, the staff was kind, the area was extremely beautiful

This hotel is clean, quiet, walkable distance to the beach. We stayed in a junior suite, the fridge was great. There was a built in hot plate which would be good if you brought a pan. A microwave would be a better choice. The staff was friendly and very good. No complaints, we are coming back.

Beautiful view and helpful staff. No refrigerator in the room and the restaurant is stand alone so you can't bill to your room. Dinners in the restaurant were awesome.

La facturación terrible, pase 3 días pidiendo mi factura y ahora resulta que ya no la puedo obtener porque solo es el mismo día del checkout, nunca me dijeron eso desde que hice el checkin y comenté que iba a necesitar factura, pésimo servicio en este tema!

We really liked this hotel The staff was very helpful, informative and the hotel was clean. They helped us take down our luggage and also load it back into our truck at check out. What I didn't like is the time it took to check in was about an hour long, we had to show everyone's identification and understand it's the hotel's policy but they need to make that more convenient for the customer. We were tired and wanted to shower to get some rest as we were leaving early in the morning, other then that everything else is great.

Staff was very insensitive. Naked men in the pool was very insensitive to other guests and children and were not told to leave by staff.

We loved the property and friendly staff. The lower pool should be for adults only as kids get too loud and you can’t relax. Also, we went to the lobby to check out at 6am but we had to wait about 10 minutes while our taxi was waiting for us as the lobby attendant had to go do a walkthrough the room to make sure the room was okay. This made us feel very uncomfortable. I forgot to mention the food at the restaurant was awesome and servers excellent!

Estoy muy satisfecha con toda la experiencia, sobre todo el personal es sumamente cálido, amable y muy servicial. Regresaremos pronto.!

I don't even know where to start. I just spent 2 weeks in Huatulco as I have a place being built in the area which is not ready yet. Our first 9 days we spent at Villas Coral as we visited a friend there last year. The Hotel is amazing. The views are stunning, and the food is delicious. However, none of that compares to the fantastic staff working there. Everyone, including maintenance staff were friendly and went out of their way to help. At first i thought we were being treated as special because we were from Canada. Within a few days, I realized that every patron was treated like a King or Queen. From the first moment of meeting Carolina at the front desk (and Juan) we knew our stay would be wonderful. Carolina was helping teach me Spanish, and always had a beauttiful smile and kind words. My bartenders and friends Asael and Jesus were incredible, along with Ramiro and Manuel. I spent a lot of time with these gentleman and cannot wait to go back and visit them. The CHEF (or god as I thought he was) was uber friendly and fun to talk with. Even the guys at the gate were great After nine days we dreaded leaving but had already paid for an all-inclusive not far away. Well, I will leave comments for them on a different page, but we regretted going to that other hotel. There was no comparison. For value, Villas Coral is the best bang I have ever had. I look forward to having a major life event there in the future. Thank you to all the staff for 9 great days. John and Jamie

They charged me more The reception girl is terrible, no customer service., the pool is small for the number of rooms , They have 2 but it is the same size maybe for 4 or 5 people to be comfortable

Lovely hotel with excellent restaurant and two pristine pools. The staff and service were friendly, professional and extremely helpful. Beautiful view from our junior suite and safe swimming five minute walk away. A taxi is needed for shopping, pharmacy, ATM or any outside services. My husband was sick and a doctor and nurse came to the hotel to treat him. I highly recommend this hotel.

A nice well built small 40 room hotel overlooking a small bay. Beautiful views from rooms, pools and restaurants. NOT on the beach, but a 10 minute walk to Arricito beach, which has nice water, snorkeling and a basic restaurant. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Please add some Kleenex in the rooms! You have to take a cab to the other beaches, or into town. We hope to go back to this hotel in the future.

Un muy buen lugar para ir a descansar. Bien ubicado, cerca de varios destinos turísticos. Lo único que no había tiendas al rededor y se tenía uno que transportar por unos 3K hasta un Super mercado

The hotel is nice, clean, all the staff friendly and helpful. The beach is nice but there's no shade. There's a restaurant that they will rent a table with chairs and umbrella for 200 pesos or you can eat and you won't paid for the rent. There are no restaurants around so you need to take a taxi to go downtown 60 pesos for the trip. The hotel is on a hill so if you decide to walk it might take 45 to one hour or more.

Enjoyed our stay. Spectacular ocean views. Very isolated in terms of shopping. Must be prepared to deal with hilly environment for walking. Lots of steps and No elevator in the hotel.
