What guests think

Across recent reviews of Copthorne Downtown by Millennium, guests highlight warmly welcoming staff, generally clean and comfortable rooms, and a central location that works for business and sightseeing, with walkable access to malls and the Corniche for some visitors.

Facilities draw praise for the pool and gym, but some mention late gym opening, stair access to the gym, and slow or slightly shaky elevators; valet parking is a plus, and the property is dry (no alcohol). Breakfast is often enjoyed for variety, yet several reviews describe it as basic or inconsistent, while the dinner buffet commonly feels limited and underwhelming. A few note an older, slightly worn feel and occasional issues such as bathroom drainage or low water pressure, wet carpets, or isolated pests, plus sporadic service lapses like slow check in or delays with requests. Overall, expect a comfortable, service focused stay with solid basics and some dated edges.

Everything was as I knew it when it was a Holiday Inn. All was fine except that one of the elevators was shaking slightly as it went up to the 14th floor in a way that didn't suggest anything major that need maintenance.. but it did aim to show its age. in addition to the fact that those who would use the gym had to climb to it from the 16th floor via the (non-air conditioned) stairs.

The property is located in a good location. They have valet parking although if room says sleeps 3 it will actually sleep 2 so just be mindful you may need an extra room. Hotel staff are friendly and the hotel is cleaned to a good standard. Everything works well at the hotel

We had a pleasant stay overall. The staff were friendly and helpful, always ready to assist with a smile. The breakfast was overall enjoyable with a good variety, particularly the custom made omelettes. For the deluxe room, the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. My only criticism was that the shower floor drain was poorly designed, which caused water puddles and flooding each time we used it. Additionally, the dinner buffet was disappointing — limited variety and food was not up to a high standard. The neighbourhood area is the inner city downtown where you get lots of food restaurants within walking distance, not the bougie city side if that’s what you’re looking for.

The hotel biggest issue is the cleanliness. They don’t change my bed sheets if I don’t ask them to do so you can see dam on the floor edge and the mold in shower. I would not advise anyone to take the breakfast there. People are friendly there anyway. I chose it for the price and location.

Giudizio complessivamente positivo.
