Advertising as having a shuttle bus to hotel, not true. Has 2 pools, rooftop opens at 6pm, main pool over shadowed by buildings, so no sun, and shared with 2 star hotel next door. Requested use of upper pool by us and other European visitors, refused. Ordered food and took over 40 minutes to arrive and was cold. Bath/shower water luke warm, would not get hot, had to boil the kettle to put into bath. Coffee machine in our room was faulty and only released about 10mls of coffee on a large cup size. Dirty toilet and bath several days. Very poor finishing on furnishings, stains on carpeting. Hotel not aimed at the European visitors who want to sun by the pool. Small empty fridge in room no minibar. Courtesy bottle of water in room daily was from a machine and daily label put on bottle, so not sterilised out between guests. Would not use this hotel again, very poorly/badly advertised. Definitely not a 5 star, closer to a 2…

Comfortable room, breakfast was really good with lots of savoury and sweet choices. We were disappointed that the top roof pool was closed but the maize floor one was good enough for the kids to play plus kids area had fun fountains to splash around. It was a perfect one night break between flights!

Located close to airport so ideal transit option but location to transport options other than Taxi is limited. Arriving late with not being able to access breakfast which is included due early departure is an inconvenience. Travel box should be an option . Hotel is relatively new and modern with Gymn pool etc . Highly recommended.

It is a cheap hence average hotel, should not be 5star. Most of it is run-down and hotel staff is mostly not Dubai standard, receptionists were not helpful and not eager to serve.. my favourite situation was when I asked a converter for the socket, a lady sent me to another desk, 5meters away without anyone there, then I waited until a guy showed up, basically another one came from the other desk I originally asked. Simply told they do not have any with a style “go away”, simply not feeling to provide a solution or any support. Our suite was clean, practical but super used, very ran-down… and there was a recurring creepy noise from the bathrooms (pipe valve I suppose). In some cases some paint corrections were seen, most maintenance were very lousy work.. A thorough renovation might be needed.

The room was clean but was a weird design, and I did not like the twin beds, as they seemed too low. The staff was helpful. The gentleman at the excursion desk was excellent at setting up things for us to do. We did not use the airport shuttle because we were making time somewhere for dinner. The Wi-Fi was terrible in the room. I was not able to get any work done on my laptop in the room. I had to go downstairs in the business section to be able to open any attachments.

Overall, the hotel has a lot of great things going for it: • The room was extremely clean, spacious, and the bed was really comfortable. • The bathroom was excellent – plenty of hot water and strong shower pressure. • It was very quiet; I had no noise issues until the incident I mention below. • The breakfast was fantastic – huge variety, everything fresh and tasty. One small downside: when I first entered the room, there was a faint cigarette smell that bothered me a bit. But the main complaint: Around 3:30 AM, a very loud fire alarm went off and woke up the entire building. It was scary – I even wondered if it had something to do with an emergency or conflict in the area. When I asked at reception in the morning, they said it was a false alarm. It took a long time to stop, and after that, it was really hard to get back to sleep. Apart from that alarming wake-up call, everything else was very good for a short stay. I’d consider coming back, but I’d hope they fix whatever caused the false alarm!

One of the best in Dubai. It’s my 8th visit last five years and it only gets better. Spotless clean and safe, great staff and large rooms with all possible amenities. Mega today was extremely nice and friendly. She allowed me stay extra two hours because my meeting got delayed. Thank you Grand Mercure!

They were incredibly helpful and ensured a stressful situation was resolved quickly and enabled me and my family to enjoy our time in Dubai. I stayed at this hotel for one night due to a long layover. Despite its five-star rating, the receptionist's lack of professionalism was evident from the start. He held onto my phone for several minutes without acknowledging me while I tried to provide booking details. Despite my attempts to retrieve my phone and give him necessary information, he continued to hold it, and even joked with a passing colleague while I waited. The bathroom could have been cleaner; the sink was clogged with a metal piece that I couldn't remove. On a positive note, the shower area was nice, and the beds were comfortable. However, the lobby was uncomfortably hot and humid while I waited for the shuttle. The hotel advertised a free airport shuttle, but disappointingly, it was only available for drop-offs, not pick-ups, and only until 2 PM. We were refused to check in by the hotel until we pay city tax, during the booking it was said 30 AED, when we came to the reception very rude lady was saying it is 200 AED she will not check us in until we pay, she also said we have no breakfast which we again paid for, we were asking please just check us in we need to run for an official event she refused again and we were forced to leave and rent somewhere else because of an emergency matter, we trued to reach the hotel after but it was silent, never got back to us, and even when we contacted Expedia they were calling the hotel and saying they do not pick up. After all we were refused for the refund, no one got back to us from the hotel with the explanation why their stuff is so rude, because the only receptionist working was swearing at us and using rude words as if we are stupid and done the booking wrongly

Convenient close to airport 5 minutes drive. Comfortable modern apartment for a family of 5 was perfect 2 full baths super clean , fast wifi, breakfast has a great variety of different choices egg station, cereal, pastries, pancakes fruits as well as traditional food a+, 5 minutes walk to the Metro Station. Nice pool area. Only down size is the airport shuttle runs every 1 hour... will definitely recommend.
