The hotel sits in an industrial style area, there’s a mine directly behind the property, so the surroundings aren’t exactly scenic. The pool is located in the parking lot, which adds to the utilitarian feel rather than a resort like atmosphere. Still, the interior amenities help balance that out. My room included a surprisingly well equipped mini kitchenette; sink, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, and fully stocked cupboards with plates, bowls, cups, and utensils. That was a standout feature for a budget friendly stay. They also offer complimentary breakfast, which is always a welcome perk. On the downside, my room had a noticeable funky odor and a large stain on the carpet. Not deal breaking, but definitely something to be aware of. I did mention the stain and odor to the receptionist upon check out, she nodded and smiled but did not say anything. Even with those drawbacks, the pros outweigh the cons. I was going to use the fitness center, but missing many different dumbbells. Needed 2 of each weight, but only 3 or 4 of those. So had to use one and isolate which many don't like. Other than that, stay was excellent.
