Repeated complaints mention the pool being closed or out of order, and some guests experienced lukewarm water or low shower pressure. Cleanliness is generally strong, but several reviews note housekeeping misses, musty pet odors, or occasional noise, and a few found the property hard to find with limited nearby dining. Overall, expect a comfortable, convenient stopover.

Facilities
Pool was repeatedly closed or out of order across multiple stays. Parking felt safe with plenty of spaces; the property is pet friendly, though a few noted barking or odors, and there were occasional outages such as laundry or the gym water dispenser.

Checked in about 30 min early and lady checking us in was confused took our credit cards only to re charge us on them for the room again! in the morning we luckily all realized it and the guy at front desk fixed it. My room was clean and comfortable but I had no hot water at all to shower! called to front desk and they were aware of this issue but never let me know! took cold shower as we had to get back on road. they said they would give me points on my account but it hasn't happened yet. I will follow up on that. other than no hot water and being charged twice for our rooms stay was good, we were in town for a wedding so only stayed the night. Pool is closed for season it says as well but wasn't noted on the information. so No pool, was a bit bummed as well on that one.

Pool was closed due to environmental issues, body wash was completely empty, extra linens looked like they rolled them up in a ball and stuff them in plastic bag without zipping it up. No regular coffee in room.. just decaf..staff was friendly, breakfast was good. Girl at desk wanted to compensate me for the inconvenience but I booked thru hotel.com so she couldn't

The hotel is in a very convenient and safe location. Well-lit and plenty of parking. Front desk staff was exceptionally friendly, especially considering how late it was at our arrival and how busy it was on a Friday night. The room is updated and very clean. I enjoyed my stay. The breakfast is your usual hotel breakfast, and the staff were constantly filling up the stations and cleaning behind the guests. This hotel was a great choice!

This would have been a 5-star review had the pool been available. Why would the pool not be cleaned and ready for use in June in South Carolina? I only choose hotels with pools so this was NOT what I thought I was paying for. The hotel itself and the room were exceptionally clean and updated/new. Also could have done without the very noisy people after midnight somewhere nearby our room.

The room was filthy. I mean pubic hair on the bathroom floor and woven into the towels type of filthy. Stains on the comforter and in the carpet. Truly so gross. At least we didn't get bugs, which I was honestly surprised by given the state of everything else. I don't expect this kind of thing from a chain hotel, then again it was in the middle of no where.

The hotel was set back from the highway so very quiet. There were several restaurants nearby and a gas station at the end of the road which was very convenient. The bed was comfortable. My only complaint is that there was hair in the shower, and not just one or two. There was enough in there that I wondered if had even been cleaned. The rest of the room and bathroom was clean.

This was an excellent Holiday Inn Express. Everything was very clean and well stocked. The staff were all so pleasant. And the breakfast was very good, with the young lady attending to and keeping everything full and fresh. When she wasn’t working with the food, she was cleaning all surfaces.

Beautiful updated or new property. Rooms were immaculate, bed lines and towels were so fresh and clean. Very comfortable beds. I’ve never seen a hotel bathroom so clean, and the lighted mirrors created a soothing ambiance. From desk employee Krystal was so welcoming and very helpful. Breakfast was incredible with many choices for everyone’s palette. Highly recommend if passing through the area. We would definitely be back when in the area.

The rooms and hotel as a whole are beautiful and in pristine condition. Our king room was very spacious and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with many options and the staff was friendly. Only complaint was that the pool was down - they said until early July - which bummed our kids for sure. If the pool was working, it would definitely be a 10/10 in my book!

This hotel was descent. The room was very spacious and conveniently included a mini fridge and microwave. The staff was very polite, able to accommodate an early check in, and even moved us to a different floor after I noticed pets were allowed and I mentioned my pet dander allergy. My brother and I stayed one night in order to attend a funeral and we were both really tired when we made it back to retire for the evening and kept the room fairly dark. It wasn’t until the next morning that my brother noticed his bed linens were covered in what appeared to be makeup stains. We were baffled at the oversight but were checking out anyway so there was no need to complain. Other than that, we had a pleasant experience.

Lots of people outside talking at 11 still was frustrating. Carpet needs updating. Couch mattress really needs to be replaced as it's super thin. And room wasn't restocked. Hotel room for 6 had two bath towels, no bath mat, and just two hand towels and washcloths. The linens for the bed only included a blanket and pillows, no sheet. Had to get some from front desk at 11. Would have been nice to have it all in the room. But overall it worked for one night

What a difference a year makes. My stay here exactly when a year ago and was so blown away that I review. Something changed. It's okay, it's fine. But it's not as clean, as bright, as well staffed, as last year. The room was very comfortable, and the staff is great. I thought the quality of the breakfast had declined And I guess maybe they gave me a room that seemed noisier than last year. No worries, it's a good place to stay and it's very safe and usually quiet and the staff is great.

I booked a double queen with couch for my family of 5. When we arrived they gave me a king with couch. They said they didn't have a double queen available but they could give me a 2nd room (2 floors away) at a discount if I wanted it. That would require an adult in each room and then split the children up as well. When we asked if they had a rollaway bed the front desk said "I am not sure". He was able to locate one and we made it work as we checked in around midnight so no other hotels were a realistic option at that point. I was charged for a room that wasn't available. The hotel has declined any refund so I was charged for a specific room (and extra person charge) in which I didn't get. The front desk employee Jackson was not friendly, knowledgeable, nor very helpful (other than offering me an additional room at a discounted rate of $350 which we declined. He also suggested that 3 of us sleep either in the bed or on the pull out couch together because there should be plenty of room for that Photo attached to show a cot smashed into the room so that everyone had a place to sleep.

I inquired re early check in and was told to call on Friday morning. I called and the guy answering ask me what time I wanted to come. I responded that was his call as I didn’t know when rooms would be ready; he suggested 1:00; I said oh ok! Upon my arrival no rooms were available and Jesus (His name) had no idea when a room would be ready; he knew he had told me 1:00; my friend and I waited patiently till 1:30; I ask him again re room, still no idea; I ask him re the number of hotel rooms, he said 98; I told him I found it strange that 1 1/2 hours from check in there were no rooms; his attitude was pathetic; At 1:50 I ask to speak to the manager and went thru the whole story. I also let her know I was past president of the group holding a symposium next door and that our group had many guests at the hotel. Surprisingly she was able to identify a room! Her attitude was not very customer oriented. The room did not have bath towels, but the 2nd shift staff did bring towels up. The breakfast was cold, coffee was good. Next year our group will strongly consider recommending guests stay in Rock Hill, 15 minutes away! I was really disappointed but recognized I was in Chester, what else could be expected!

Check-in staff member was great. The breakfast staff not so much. Went down for breakfast at 8:30 am. There were no pancakes; no milk, a few slices of bread, no oatmeal made up; two pieces of sausage; two omelettes and no flatware. When I went to kitchen to ask for silverware, staff member was on cell phone and a whole tray of sausage was sitting on counter! Unsay!

Miranda was working the front desk. There was a need to switch our rooms because of presence of a water bug. She insisted on moving us to a suite. She was excellent with her service to my wife and I

Miranda and Shay were amazing. I was in town for business. The planned meeting spot was unavailable. They jumped right into action and arranged the conference room for me. Every single team members cares about the customer!

I stayed a month ago on my way down ant it was a better experience, this time we got at hotel at 6pm and there was a line up at check in and only one person working, it took us 20 min to get the room, the room was fairly clean but it hat a musty smell like a dirty mop or smelly socks, facial tissues box had only 3 tissues in it, internet would only allow me to sign in on one iPad, wouldn’t let me sign in on the second one, mostly all minor issues but those are the reasons I pay a bit extra than other hotels for, like fresh smelling rooms. On the way down I would have rated it a 8.5 on the way back a 6.

This is a relatively new property and was a delight to stay there. The room is clean, quiet, accesorized by fridge, coffee maker, comfortable bed and chairs. The bathroom was large, with a walk in shower and the water was hot. Breakfast was excellent with many choices and food options, plus plenty of seating! Now, the most difficult part is finding it, particularly after dark. Whether you are coming from Northbound or Southbound I-77 it\'s the same. You will turn left at the first light east of the overpass. When turning left head straight for the BP station, the little lane is in front of that. Make the left and go a half mile down the hill and the property is on your right. This will be my "go to" hotel on my multiple trips annually through the area.

My family and I stay here when we are traveling to Orlando, and we've done that three times. It's nice, clean, and staff are great. I just wish there were more places to eat around the hotel.

We enjoyed staying here as we visit our grandchildren in the area. The breakfast has better options that other hotels with a hot breakfast. The only negative was the pancake machine was down and they ran out of the pancake sausage on a stick that my grandson loves.
