We booked 2 rooms because of the pool and hot tub only to find out they were closed for maintenance issues when we checked in. Huge disappointment. They didn't provide any compensation. In the future it would be nice if they'd at least tell people in advance so they could change their travel plans or at least prepare their family for the disappointment. Otherwise stay was good.

Great location. Great kick back socials. Good breakfast. The only disappointment was the hot tub. I choose my hotels based on whether there is a hot tub. The first night it was closed because it was 109 degrees;deemed too hot. The 2nd and 3rd nights, it was like a tepid bath. Very disappointing that standard temp of 102-104 degrees was not maintained. Too many kids in hot tub when this happens and it’s not a good experience for adults. Is it company policy to cater the temperature towards children?

The staff was kind, I liked the free happy hour drinks and snacks, but I was disappointed overall with the room itself. The walls had stains or junk on it, there was random hairs around the room, and the comforter had blood on it. The phone at first didn’t work, but I eventually figured it out and called downstairs about the comforter. It took about an hour and another phone call to remind them, but a nice man brought me another one. Besides that, the stay was fine.

Drury is probably our favorite hotel chain. The food is usually good- the kickback a great perk! Our stay was good with one exception- the door edges in our room (main door and bathroom door) were sticky, as was the handle on the bathroom door. That was kind of gross.

Price includes breakfast and hot snacks in eve (basically a small buffet dinner). Some common areas of hotel were a little dirty,(eg popcorn in corridors near rooms and sticky floor in restaurant) but I did see them getting cleaned.

I’ve stayed here in the past with no issues. This stay was different. Room was stifling with cigarette odor. Hotel attempted to eradicate it, but to no avail. They also could not give us another room because the hotel was sold out. Also, there were white stains on the chair in the room. Appeared to be dirty. My stay was not good this time around.

Was very nice and accommodating! Only thing that was an issue we had to ask for more towels due to only 2 bath towels being in the room and when my daughters phone fell against the wall and headboard, when we slid matress back there was much hidden trash a d an alcoholic beverage can laying on floor behind box spring. But staff were friendly and professional.

We stayed here for a family weekend getaway to Richmond. It's a little outside downtown Richmond -- maybe a 20-minute drive? -- but not bad. Our kids loved the indoor-outdoor pool and would have spent the entire stay there. The pool was busy at all hours, which would have been okay but for the kids practicing backflips off the pool deck and ladders while their parents were checked out on their phones. Our room (2 queen beds) was comfortable enough for us to spread out with our things, but both my husband and I found the beds too soft for our taste. My back is a little sore from the sagging. They are very generous with their food, with free breakfast and dinner for all, and cards for three complimentary alcoholic drinks per adult. Breakfast was solidly fine, with standard offerings... nothing to write home about. The pulled pork and macaroni and cheese served at one of the dinners were delicious, though. They always had hot dogs and nachos for kids or pickier eaters. It's not a luxury experience, but it's perfect for a family trying to get the most bang for their vacation buck. But please upgrade the mattresses!

The walls are so thin. There were young people drinking alcohol as they made their way down. You can hear people watching tv in the next room and baby crying. You can also hear the cars from the 8th floor.

We had a great stay here. Everyone was very welcoming and wanted to help any way they could. Will at the bar and Alexas everywhere else were both amazing. We found the room clean. However our king bed felt a bit on the older side. All in all, we would stay here again.

The room was fantastic and very clean, the only downside was the door to enter the room had a noticeable gap at the bottom and right side that made it to where anyone outside the door can likely hear what you’re doing. Also the bathroom was gorgeous.

We stayed multiple nights at this property. Unfortunately on our 2nd to last night there was a shooting in the parking lot at 3:30am. We received no information from the hotel about the incident or safety precautions etc. There was no apology, info about the shooting or anything when we checked out a day early. We had to give the police our information to retrieve our car and we were one car away from having a bullet hit our car. This is NOT normal and the hotel acted like it was a daily occurrence. Otherwise the hotel was fine, their evening buffet and breakfast was good and the room was outdated with carpet stains but spacious and worked for our family. Unfortunately we had to book another hotel for our last night in the Richmond area because we didn’t feel safe staying there with bullet holes in the lobby doors and crime scene outside.

The only reason I took a start off is because I reached out for extra towels and linen and it never came. Other than that it was a great experience! Rooms seem noise proof as you don't hear much inside your room but can hear a little in the hallways but nothing terrible.

The refrigerator in the room did not work when asked at the front desk. They didn’t really seem to care. Also, I let the front desk know that my boyfriend had to fix the toilet in the bathroom and we asked them to take a look they never did. It took us four times fixing it just to get us through until the morning. Seemed more like camping then an evening in a nice hotel.

I’m not one to usually write a review in general but I decided I needed to this time. Don’t get me wrong this hotel is visually very nice, and very clean in almost every way. However there were a few things that weren’t great for me and my husband. The one thing that was most annoying was that the AC system did not want to lower. We noticed that it was set in 75 when we came in the room, and being that it was 96 out we wanted it lower. We set it to 65 when we first came into the room and 3 hours later it only dropped 2 degrees. We both checked the system to make sure that we were using it correctly then decided to go to the pool. When we returned to the room not only did it not get cooler, but the ac was completely off. We turned it back on but once we realized it wasn’t moving I attempted to call the front desk. I say attempted because both times I used their provided phone, with the button labeled front desk the call still was routed to reservations. Once I got the front desk I explained what was going on and they said they would lower it for us on their end; spoiler it never was lowered and we spent the night going back and forth turning it on. The other thing smaller was that our ice bucket lid ( which we were only using because the ac issue) had mold on the underside. I’m not saying I wouldn’t stay here again, just maybe not in the summer.

Friendly professional staff, check in was a breeze, room very clean. Staff went above and beyond to ensure we were fed. We got there prior to the restaurant opening however there was another event going on. The staff person guided us over to the bar area once she was done checking us in. We ordered food had a cocktail and checked in. By the way we were able to check in prior to 3 pm (about 30 mins early). Very pleased with everything!!

At 3am, a gunman opened fire in the parki g lot shateri g car windows then shot into the glass in thelobby! WE WE NEVER INFORMED ORASKED TO SHELTER IN PLACE! WE DIDN'T FIND OUT UNTIL WE WENT TO CHECK OUT AND SAW ALLTHE PL9CE ACTIVITY AND CRIME TAPE. WHERE'S THE PROTOCOL FOR a situationlike this? Guests could've leave beccause their were cars were damaged! This plaza gave throwback yet modern vibes. Very prestine, very clean, very well-kept. My only complaint is that there wasn’t a lot of meat options for breakfast (non-pork). Also was allowed to get late check in/out upon request. Very appreciative of that!

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. We felt like it was a good price for the services provided. Free breakfast and free dinner (during happy hour between 5-7) with three free drink cards. The rooms were clean and well appointed with microwave and mini refrigerator. The beds were comfortable and the employees were very friendly. Check-in was pretty easy. We would stay here again. We did not use the pool or hot tub, but that was available as well.

Well worth the money. I was especially surprised by the kickback add-on (dinner with drinks). I had the king suite, which included a soaking tub (why I spent the extra, really and just to have a bit of walking space). The king suite has a separate living area with a pullout sofa and another TV, so if you have a group, it’s the way to go. But if you are a rowdy lot, I would mind you the walls are thin, as I realized when I was about to go to sleep as I prefer dead silence unless I’m in the mood for a podcast. I was expecting one of those tiny bottles of lotion when I suddenly realized I didn’t have any, maybe they had some at the desk, but I’d say that was my only real complaint vs what I’m used to seeing at most hotels. I wish I had bothered to check out the pool and jacuzzi, but I plan to come back on my next staycation, so next time. I did like the dispensers in the shower. Convenient, and smelled good. Staff was very nice, definitely among the better I’ve encountered. Kudos to them. The food quality was just decent if I’m honest, but it got the job done. Enough variety that most palettes will find something to fill the belly, so that’s how they strike the balance. Lots of dining area. Everything was clean and well kept, I do with they had smart TVs, but I brought my fire stick, as travelers know to do. Problem solved. Just would be nice from a modernization standpoint.

We travelled a couple hours to medical appointments in the area of the Drury Plaza. All of the staff were welcoming and very helpful. Service with a smile! We had a separate bedroom and living room with shared bathroom. All rooms were spacious, comfortable and well equipped. We particularly appreciated that there was no air conditioner, elevator, or highway noise! We needed the sleeper sofa and a staff member came to help make it up. The evening social event was generous and tasty and held in a nicely decorated space. Breakfast was super with a myriad of tasty food and good coffee! When we asked for a brief extension of check out time, front desk was very accommodating. Very good value. We would definitely stay at Drury Plaza again!

This hotel looks like any other high end hotel but with some differences. The price is very reasonable. Slightly more than half of the big name brands. We stayed on a friday in late Aug. right off I-64 near Richmond. They offer the standard continental breakfast but what you don’t normally see is this: The afternoon of your check in day, at around 5:30, Drury offers a dinner buffet and 3 cocktails per guest FOR FREE!! This is the only place that we stayed at where this was offered. We will certainly be repeat customers. Of course, the staff, lobby, rooms, pool and grounds were impeccable! We were left scratching our heads, wondering how they make any money!
