Handicap parking is not conveniently located in the parking area. The parking lot is also very dark, which is a primary asset for the criminal mind.

This is a fantastic hotel. The staff is very friendly, helpful and dog friendly. There are plenty of dog walking areas. The rooms are very spacious and clean. I loved that the coffee was in a central location. Having traveled with my dog, I could not enjoy the free breakfast as I could not leave her in the room and I could not take her in the breakfast area. Because the coffee was in the lobby and not in the breakfast area, I could at least have some hot coffee in the morning.

Overall a comfortable stay. But, definitely did not deserve a 9 rating. Ice machines broken on floor 2 and 3. Minimal breakfast selections. No bottle water available unless requested. Excellent staff.

The renovations at the property were ongoing and made the stay not as pleasant. The property appeared to have minimal maintenance to keep public areas well cleaned. The breakfast was very basic.

It was being renovated, but we had not been informed before making our reservation. So, elevator service was restricted at times, no cups in bathroom, AC in room not able to be adjusted, cleanliness subpar. We had expected a better experience for a Hampton.

Property needs some updating. The elevator was out.

The place was packed and there wasn’t enough staff. No food for breakfast, one lady was trying to do everything for a sold out hotel. Place was dirty and one elevator was broken

Staff was very helpful. Generally a fine place to stay. But one of 2 elevators did not work and the thermostat is not user friendly.

We were given a room where the shower wasn't draining properly, so the room smelled like a sewer. We reported this to management, and the maintenance person arrived promptly and made some remediation. We appreciated his efforts; however, there were no other rooms available to which we could be moved. Bottom line- this room should not have been put into service to begin with.

The bathroom had hair all over the floor. The front staff was okay. I watched one of the reps treating and talking to a client different than me. I made sure I was hearing something different than I thought but it came down to the tone and manner. I don’t want to throw out the race card but believe it may have been racial. The breakfast food choices were very limited and not consistent with Hampton Inn brand I am use too. I would recommend a regional or corporate leadership review the hotel and observe. The hotel overall was okay but I will not be staying at this Hampton Inn if I am in the Richmond region. I wish the business all the best.

The room was very clean and quiet. Beds are extremely comfortable. I believe I will purchase an extra firm mattress. Slept soo god. The breakfast was very good. Clean area. I will go again.

The hotel is extremely clean, the breakfast was very nice, and staff was very helpful. A great place to stay on our way north from North Carolina to New York

Room wasn’t as clean as I would have liked. There were clumps of other people’s hair on the floor. Yuck

My bathroom had a dirty wet washcloth in the shower and a used towel hanging behind the bathroom door. I changes rooms and the bathroom was “clean” but the shower ledge was falling off and there was red mildew along the edges. There was also a weather leak under the sink.

We were looking forward to being in the Short Pump area since it has such high revews. This Hampton Inn was the biggest disappointment. The hotel was under limited renovation upon our arrival on July 4th. The room was beyond terrible. It had a terrible wet dog oder, no hot water and was very noisy with the ice machine next door and the gym on the adjacent wall. There was no insulation in the walls so we could hear everyone walking down the hall late at nite and first thing in the morning. I woke very early to loud voices in the hallway and decided to get some coffee. The breakfast area is very tiny and the seating area was completely full. There was no coffee available. The kitchen attendant was nice enough to invite a few of us to enter the kitchen where the coffee was still brewing. The food was close to inedible. The scrambled eggs had to be imitation eggs. I had never seen or tasted eggs that had been "riced". The flat chicken sausage was impossible to cut with the plastic knife. The breakfast was a zero. The coffee was good and fortunately there was an attendant who knew what to do to appease a growing crowd of people who were waiting for the coffee which was supposed to be available in the lobby. We left the hotel early without showering since there was no hot water. The hotel is in a state of disrepair and we were sincerely disappointed.

Hair was every where all over the floors and on our new towels.

Super dusty everywhere in my room and I am asthmatic . Didn’t sleep well. Did let know the front desk attendant and asked to speak to a manager /supervisor. He said he was not available. I left my info and asked to be contacted. That was Saturday 8/24. It’s 8/29 and had not been contacted.

Most of the outlets in the room did not work. Most importantly there were cords hanging loose from the wall underneath the night stand--very dangerous. This was room 310 and the electrical in this room needs to be dealt with. There was no one at the front desk to address this with and since we checked in late and left very early we did not attempt to deal with it any further. Please for the sake of anyone else who stays in that room fix this so no more--especially a young child--gets hurt.

The stay was good. It was challenging to find the location using my car’s navigation system. The room was spacious and clean. The area was quiet and parking was easy. If our stay was longer I would have enjoyed the walkable access to the Silver Diner.

When we checked in and went to our room, our shades wouldn’t work (they are automatic) and our bathtub was filled with water and we couldn’t get the drip to stop. We called the front desk and they were very kind and moved us to a new room. We then left for our event and returned that evening and realized the shades once again don’t work and were now stuck in the up position and we couldn’t close them. We were awoken early with the sun and went down for breakfast. Most things weren’t stocked and there were no drinks available as the drink machine was out of order. This hotel did the job of giving us a place to sleep but definitely wasn’t the experience we had hoped for when paying so much.

In a great location. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Although the shower ran cold. I got hot water from the sink but the shower never got hot. Staff was awesome. Another complaint was parking space seemed a bit narrow. Other than that I would recommend.

The air conditioning was hard to control, I had to contact front desk to resolve. I was in room 223 which was near the elevator and the elevator made a teeth rattling noise every time it was used. The room should be discounted.

Was very noisy at night, heard people arguing in the halls a couple times and it did not sound like anyone asked them to be quiet. This happened between midnight and 1am.

Room was tired and beds were uncomfortable. Staff was friendly and professional.

They didn’t clean our room for two days. Called to ask for them to change our sheets bc no one service the room that day. They made us come to the front desk to get sheets to change them ourselves Same with towels

We enjoyed our stay. The property was clean, staff were friendly, and there were plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. We would stay again!

The property itself was nice, however, the front desk clerk who checked me in, once he saw that I had booked with a 3rd party, became cold (for reference, the woman who checked in before me was asked if she was a Hilton rewards member because her reservation was made by her employer, was told about breakfast, internet, where her room was located, etc) and quietly mentioned about breakfast and no more. I had booked an accessible room due to my daughter being in a wheelchair and when we got to the room, discovered that it was not an accessible room. After 12 hours in the car and multiple pieces of luggage being unloaded into the room, I was too tired and angry to go back down to the desk and deal with the front desk clerk. As the “face” of the hotel, I expect that the front desk staff will be friendly to all patrons, regardless of how they made their reservation.

The gentleman at the desk was great! I was exhausted from my trip and he made me feel comfortable and safe.

Hi! This was the worst hotel stay we had in more than a decade. Toilet was broken and we had ants in the room. We found trash under the bed and the room service left full trash bags on the desk. We were here with a group of people and they had dirty rooms as well. The service was not responsive at all except for the lady doing the breakfast. Overall the facilities were very dirty (pool, carpets, etc). Stay away!

When we arrived after a long travel the woman at the front desk was curt and unfriendly. My veteran disabled father asked to use the restroom. Which we were advised was for guests. We acknowledged our early arrival and she dismissed us to our cars to wait for several hours. We eventually turned to the lobby for comfort, observing several people getting rooms. I overhead her complain feverishly about short staffing and lack of help. Ehe was joined by a gentleman who appeared to be a manager. He was equally complaining. She was not a happy employee and looked miserable in her role. Once we e received our keys at exactly 3:00 we made to our rooms but departed later for dinner. Once we returned this negative woman again was at the desk. My 16 year old daughter looked towards the breakfast area to see if there was a waffle maker. In the rudest and most inappropriate way, she said that area is off limits. Almost screaming. My daughter basically said just wanted to know if there were waffles tomorrow. She was clearly unhappy and just either overworked or tired. Thankfully we didn’t have to deal with her again the remainder of the trip. But her unpleasant customer service left a stain. No guests should know that a hotel is poorly staffed no matter how busy the weekend. Even the breakfast gal got frustrated when batter dripped. It was like we couldn’t even drop a crumb. Just a huge miss.

We really enjoyed our stay. Logan at check in was very friendly and helpful. Shout out to a great employee. The area was quiet. The hotel is in a large office park area.

Everyone was helpful and friendly at the front desk.Noah and his copartner took really good care of me at checkin. Emily was great at check out. I chose this property for the convivence and location. It is right behind my favorite restaurant the Silver diner. I had reservation with another property that called me at the last minute to say no longer had a room they overbooked. Offered no help at all on the closet hotel to them. I remembered this hotel that I had stayed before, so I booked right away. You have won me over; I will stay here again in the future. I am in Richmond 2 times a month on the weekend. I will recommend to anyone looking for a great hotel in a good location. By the way I worked for Marriott for 12 years, so I know all about what should happen at a great property.

I really like this hotel. Laura is so kind. She makes me feel very welcome. This was my second stay. This is my go to hotel while my daughter is at VCU. I felt safe there while traveling alone.

The property needed a sign to indicate the hotel. I passed it a couple of times because it was not evident it was the Hampton Inn.

Where is the signage for the hotel! Check in was smooth with no issues. Check in staff polite and friendly. Room clean and tidy. This was the only positive. 130am - someone’s car alarm going off outside my window for 30mins. 200am - door slamming in corridor. 230am - kids/teenagers running up and down the corridor. Breakfast, 100+rooms and only 6 tables to eat at! Wife goes to make coffee, none left! So mentions to front desk and is screamed at, “she is making it already”!

i liked how quiet and peaceful the area was. shopping and dining were also very convenient. it felt like I was in the middle of everything.

It's a nice hotel with a convenient location to certain business meetings close to Richmond.

We loved our stay at the Hampton Inn in Innsbrook. The hotel was clean and staff was very accommodating. Location was excellent. Close to shopping and many restaurants within walking distance. We will definitely stay here again! Thanks!

The young man who checked us in was quite pleasant and efficient. The room was large and clean, and the shower was fully functional with sufficient water pressure. It was quiet throughout the night, but that may have been because there were so few guests. The 06:00-10:00 breakfast was terrible. We arrived at approximately 09:15, but we had to wait over 30 minutes to get anything that wasn’t full of sugar (yes, there were sugary yogurt cups, blueberry muffins, and danishes that were stuck together along with a communal fork to tear them apart, but we weren’t going to eat those). The eggs, sausages, and potatoes bins were empty, and the cook seemed to be in no rush to refill them. While we waited, we sipped very weak Dark Roast coffee. When the eggs finally came, they were extremely low quality (powdered or the product of some other unappetizing processing method), and the sausages were too disgusting to touch. At least the cook tried to apologized for her ineptitude. Except the young man who checked us in, every other staff member we met was robotic, unsmiling, and unwelcoming. Perhaps the upper management should consider sending the staff to an Asian hotel for hospitality lessons, or perhaps these staff members should look for different employment if they’re so unhappy at this hotel. In summary, the evening experience was pleasant; the morning experience was not. We may or may not stay here in the future, but if we do return, it won’t be for the hospitality or breakfast.

The hotel was doing remodeling and that we should have been made aware before hand. It affect the breakfast where i had to walk down the hallway to get a cup off coffee just to find all 3 pots empty. There were not juices to chose. Milk was warm. No yogurts.

Really shabby condition. Ice machine not working. Garbage sitting in the icemaker room for a day. Breakfast terrible: gray sausage patties, no dried fruit for oatmeal, no yogurt, no fresh fruit!

We chose this property because many were sold out in the area and you usually can’t go wrong with a Hampton Inn and least breakfast is included. The location was fine, we were just there to sleep. The breakfast area has maybe 8-10 tables, not very much seating for the quantity of people eating breakfast…the breakfast would have been good if there was any. Almost all items except for cereal were completely empty at 9am. And by 9:15 the cereal was gone too. We paid $275 for the night and it was a total rip-off. Hampton…do better. I will definitely think twice about booking this brand again.
