What guests think

Hampton Inn Benson earns strong praise for clean, comfortable rooms, friendly staff, and a better-than-typical breakfast, with many travelers highlighting its convenient location just off I-95, pet-friendly setup with a nearby dog park, and EV charging.

Facilities get kudos for a solid fitness room and on-site Tesla chargers, though some mention the outdoor pool being closed at times, occasional construction, and parking constraints when EV-only spots dominate. Room comfort and space are appreciated, but several guests report highway or upstairs noise, soft or uneven pillows, barn-style bathroom doors with limited privacy, and intermittent AC or TV issues. Service is frequently welcoming and helpful, with isolated complaints about check-in or professionalism; nearby dining is limited. Overall, expect a convenient stopover that especially suits road trippers, pet owners, and EV drivers.

This was a great hotel right off 95, with plenty of room for parking a truck with a trailer, and also with a couple restaurants practically across the street for dining. Nice pool area with clean pool. Wonderful breakfast!! Nice room with microwave and fridge. But they need a freezer in the fridge. And the only reason I did not give then 5 stars was because the beds need replacing. Very lumpy, squishy, and uneven. I kept feeling as if I'd roll off. Otherwise it was great, with a cookie upon check in, too!!

We have a Tesla and there are superchargers right in the parking area. And across 95 in the mall is a fantastic little Peruvian restaurant called Gabrielas. Highly recommended. Hotel itself has helpful and pleasant staff, large clean rooms, and reasonable breakfast.

I stayed here as I needed a pet friendly hotel near I-95 on my way down south and reviews seemed great. Lobby, hallway and breakfast area were clean. Staff were friendly and accommodating. However, my room was not very clean like many prior reviews mentioned. I noticed a lot of stains on the walls and bathroom door in my room.

I hate the Thermostat system!! I could not get a good nights sleep after it turns off. There has got to be a better way to save energy. The system could be a simpler one to turn on and off intermittently. The bed was so comfortable but after the AC went off i couldnt go back to sleep.

When we first got there, the power to the whole area had gone off about 10 minutest prior due to a crash down the street. Not the hotel’s fault. They were still able to get us checked in, and one of the staff members even walked us to the stairs with a flashlight so we didn’t get lost. The power turned on a few hours later, and we were good to go. The next morning, the staff was super friendly and kind!!! Minus the power situation (no backup generator), the hotel was very clean and exactly what we needed during our stay. We were travelling north on a road trip and just needed a place to rest for the night. Hotel is right off of 95, which was perfect! The breakfast had plenty of options, include different flavored make your own waffle batters, fresh fruit, juices, cereal, etc. and a coffee bar! Highly recommend this hotel!

Front desk unattended when I tried to check in. Waited five minutes then noticed open door to office in back. Stuck my head in and called out. Person who eventually checked me in cold, unfriendly, unsmiling, no eye contact TV did not work, two people tried to fix it but could not. Person checking me out refused to give receipt for payment, I stood my ground and eventually got it. Way below my expectations for Hampton Inn.

All staff was very courteous and respectful. I would send a message through the Hilton Honors app and it would be answered almost immediately and the responses would be helpful. They had a small food station across from the service desk that had fresh apples and oranges then they would have a hot pot of some type of food. When I used it they had barbecued little smokies. First time I ever saw a Hotel do that. Very satisfied with our two night stay.

This Hampton is convenient right off the interstate. We stayed here on the way north and left 2 blankets in the room. My husband called and they said they found them and would hold them until we returned on our way home. Sure enough the blankets were in plastic with our name on it. Thank you to the front desk person and the housekeeping supervisor for keeping the blankets safe for us. Great job and I hope your manager knows it!

The man that checked me in felt it necessary to extend his fingers to touch my hand when passing my room key cards to me. It was very intentional as he attempted to do same when handing me another item. I avoided additional contact as I expected it the second time. It was extremely unpleasant, unprofessional and sleazy and I'm sure I am not the only one impacted. It was certainly not expected or encouraged.
