I love the glamour of this vintage hotel. The lobby layout with unique pictures and comfy sofas and game tables. Small bar was cozy. Favorite was the lovely rooftop pool with great music and a stellar waitress. Food was great and we ate in the veranda. We will be back! Staff was very kind and helpful too.

My reason for choosing this hotel was the POOL. Checked in and was disappointed to learn the heater was broke, so swimming in 59 degree water was not possible. The guestroom, a corner king was tiny, but very comfortable. I was surprised as to how quiet it was even facing Colorado. The lobby was just beautiful. I’d probably stay there again, but only if the pool heater is working. I also had no heat in my room, it was in the 40’s at night.

People are great but the room had no microwave. No ice machines no complimentary coffee in the AM. No amenities I would have expected. Takes 2 elevators and long hallways to get to lobby from garage. All doors were poorly marked and easy to get lost or walk on to the street.

Convenient location that's near a lot of restaurants and stores. Has pools, parking, and a bar in the lobby. The gripes I have are the Dispensary in the parking lot and the lack of security on the free Wi-Fi. The signs in the parking spots can be a little misleading too. Otherwise, enjoyable stay.

The hotel had a great pool and a beautiful quiet courtyard. Nice furnishings. Very classic Old town Pasadena. Great location, mostly quiet but still a bit of noise from the street.Only disappointment was they didn't inform me about the NO housekeeping unless you request policy. Also there was no morning breakfast. They just had coffee and pastries.

My third stay here. Staff seemed more challenged. Air conditioning was not working my first night but they upgraded my stay to a better room the next day. One of two elevators wasn’t working then the remaining elevator stopped working. Service elevator then put into use. Front desk appeared understaffed. Would not answer the telephone when I discovered the air was out. Perhaps they’re overextended since the Alta Dena fire.

The carpet in the room was filthy. The maid service didnt replenish cups daily and when asking the front desk about where the nearest Catholic Church was, they could help or even volunteered to find out. No water in the water dispensary at the gym and equipment is old.

We arrived at 3:30 and our room wasn’t ready. The staff comped us our parking and facility fee and got us into our room 1/2 hour later. The chair in the room was broken, the carpet was stained and worn. Lobby was very nice.

This is an old hotel...efforts to modernize it are not working. Room was small and claustrophobic. Windows have lattice shutters obstructing view and do not open. Requested tub but got shower only. Hallways are narrow. Lobby is shabby and worn. Long walk from parking garage to hotel is hot and ugly, industrial-like atmosphere. Had reserved two nights but left after one. Good news is we were not charged for the second night. The staff is friendly and the beds are comfortable. Good hot water. The price for this room was ridiculous. We found a much better room, better location and much less expensive.

Nice , clean hotel. Staff is nice. Not set up or staffed for late night eating or drinking. The bathrooms in EVERY ROOM has no privacy. The walls /glass dividers for the toilet don’t go all the way up. No privacy.

Great hotel overall. We loved the pool and the cozy lobby area. The bathrooms in the deluxe room were a bit strange. There was only a frosted glass door covering the toilet room, and there was a huge gap where the door is supposed to close. Every time we used the bathroom it felt awkward lol.

Hotel itself was fine but check in was a disaster with lots of new staff, wrong charges put on credit card, then supposedly reversed, then a week later still fighting for a refund. Literally no charges incurred during the stay, no invoice showing charges, yet phantom charges in credit card more than double the cost of the actual room. Hour spent on phone over 3 days. Still no manager in contact to remedy or even discuss at manager level.

They are still playing the game of optional maid service on a request only basis. I told them when I checked in I wanted the room maid up each day but by 3pm, beds still unmade and wet towels still in BR. Reminded them at front desk and was reassured we were on the list but they never came.

We stayed when we came in town to see a show at the Ice House. Extremely convenient for that and decent walking distance to Old Town Pasadena that is very walkable and a lot to do. The responsiveness of the staff has been quite poor. They do not answer the phone or emails.

Only one elevator was working, and it was having issues. I was told that housekeeping was going to clean and never did after I requested it. Parking was $29 a night plus a 15.76 daily facility fee. Tv remote did not work. For some reason there was a curtain outside the bathroom that when moved you could see the shower. The refrigerator was not cold it was room temperature. I did like how quiet the place was though. I liked the art in the lobby as well.

The staff at check in was absolutely amazing. So kind and helpful. The atmosphere was beautiful, the room was big and had the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever slept on. They lost a star for their terrible terrible bartender… the rooms only have two teeny tiny water bottles. We were told by the front desk staff the bartender would sell us water bottles. We sat there for twenty minutes while he did busy work and completely ignored us (3pm). Finally he told us the bar isn’t open. We told him we only needed to purchase water bottles. His response was “well I don’t even have keys to get you a water bottle so you’ll have to wait til 4:30 when it opens.” This was after we watched him open the cupboard to put things in it. We went back to our room and back down at 4:30. We asked again and he said “I’m out of water bottles. I can see if I can find you some little ones but I doubt we even have those”. Why would you not have little ones if they are stocked in the room every day??? We ended up just leaving. He was absolutely rude and unprofessional. Once again, the rest of the staff was amazing, kind, helpful. Stay away from the bar if the guy with long brown hair is working. Terrible.

We requested early check in & according to my reservation it was approved Not sure why it would approve & not have a room ready. We drove from SD & arrived at the facility at 12. Tried checking in & was told the room was not available yet they were going to check with house keeping. We waited in the car & were told they would call us as soon as the room was available. After waiting for over an hr and a half we decided to go wait in the lobby. As we were waiting other guest were checking in. Gave it another 15-20 min decided to go see what was goin on and tuns out the room had been ready. We had never received any call to come up at this point it was practically 2. We had waited for 2 hrs and we never received a “sorry we forgot to call you” as we checked in. Finally headed to our room & were getting settled in and housekeeping opened our door and came in and realized guest were in the room and walked out. No apologies, I went out and asked if they needed something? Given they just went on in, turns out they forgot to plug the fridge in. It was disappointing that the TV was no a smart tv and we were not able to stream Netflix or something at the end of the night & only about 10 random channels. The room allegedly was at “62” degrees and the thermostat was locked & couldn’t change temp. We were sweating in the room & it was ice cold in the hallway clearly the ac was not okay. Toilet was running all night bidet kept turning on. Still waiting on receipt to b emailed it’s been 4hr

Absolutely wonderful experience! So calm, such a beautiful place. The customer service made us feel cared for , the room cleaning was outstanding, thank you so much for taking care of us :) they went above and beyond will definitely stay here again and recommend anyone going to Pasadena to not miss out either

This was a really cute hotel that you just want to hang out in. The building is gorgeous and the sitting areas throughout the hotel are quaint. The staff were all very helpful and polite. The room was clean and had great lighting. It was great to take a dip in the pool after a long day of school, and especially loved that it was walking distance to downtown and enjoyed catching the sunset over great food at the beautiful Osa rooftop restaurant. Hope to come back again!

View of the parking lot. Check-in person felt like they were in training. Morning person was way better! Hotel needs to update their written materials- no more room service yet it’s still stated. Check-in person said you could order food out at the pool but that wasn’t the case

The decor in room and public areas is great. Excellent mattress. Very clean. Spacious. But would like coffee maker in room. It would also be nice to have better breakfast options than Starbuck’s pastries at inflated prices. Snack and beverage machines too. Great cafe 5 minutes away

Customer Service and Property were excellent. Pool was great as well! Only thing that was missing was the option to order food from the restaurant and bar to the pool without having to go to the lobby to pick it up. Not sure how long the service is not available, they stated the ordering system was not working.

Front desk staff were very helpful and welcoming, accommodating a late change in room request for the Rose Parade weekend, which I'm sure wasn't easy for them to do. Only thing that stops me giving a 5 star for the hotel is the lack of room service or a restaurant and that's my fault for not checking properly in advance.

An elegant historic hotel with a fantastic pool, lobby, and patio area. There were several cafes and eateries within a block's distance. The food options within the hotel ,however, were limited. No in-room coffee maker.
