Charming lodge, would have been very enjoyable except it was cool that day and rained that evening which wouldn't have been a problem except the heat didn't work and I had to compete with the other guests for hot water. Since there was no attendant on site and another guests had already tried calling, without success, we just packed up and left early the next morning for another destination.

Don't trust the photos shown in the listing, or the five-star reviews. The photos all look great, and in fairness, some of the suites/rooms probably are great (hence the glowing reviews). Unfortunately for us, ours was not. I understand marketing and putting your best face forward, but it's really disappointing how NOT LIKE THE PHOTOS our unit turned out to be. It was dirty, old, and hot (no A/C, no ceiling fan in the bedroom). There was no place to sit other than a decrepit love seat (in the bedroom) and uncomfortable wooden chairs in the kitchen area. We specifically wanted a kitchen, but the cookware was gross and unusable, with the non-stick coating peeling off. The toilet was configured so that your knees were crammed up against the sink pedestal. Basically, the listing for the property feels very "bait and switch," so beware. If you book here, be sure you're booking one of the units that has a fighting chance of living up to the promise shown in the photos. How you can do this, no idea. Maybe call and ask? I gave an extra star because it is in a great location. And the views are really nice if you can mentally get past the power lines blocking it. I know the property has no control over this, but if you're looking for a "lodge" feel in nature, this property isn't it.

The place was old and rundown. Not a place I would stay at again.

This property is totally worn down and in need of updating. The mattress was visibly lumpy and absolutely intolerable to sleep on. There were only 2 electrical outlets in the unit and none in the bathroom. I was constantly plugging on unplugging phone charger, fan, hair dryer, etc. etc. The bathtub water fixtures made it almost impossible to get the water temperature the way you wanted it. It could take up to 15 minutes to get the water the way you wanted it. I would not stay here again.
