The Inn at Pleasant Beach

What guests think

The Inn at Pleasant Beach draws praise for its walkable, quiet location on Bainbridge Island, beautifully landscaped grounds, and stylish, comfortable rooms—many with fireplaces, views, and ample space—plus a popular pool that families and couples enjoy.

Many guests find staff friendly and accommodating, though others report understaffing, limited front desk availability, and early office closure. The 10 a.m. checkout and per hour late fees are frequent frustrations. Amenities feel mixed: the hot tub and some facilities are sometimes unavailable, some rooms lack microwaves, and dining is largely off site with nearby cafes and restaurants. Expect a charming, walkable base with occasional service and amenity trade-offs.

My stay was great. It is a beautiful Inn. My only issue is that I was not able to utilize the fitness room, based on the code that I was provided did not work. I wanted to work out early in the morning and there was no staff available.

The unit did not match the pictures on the website. The shower leaked and was hard to even get set. We had hoped to use the hot tub advertised but it was covered up with a stage?! and no word about this. All the restaurants closed and stopped serving after 8 pm. The bed was comfy - but the place was nearly empty and they put someone right next to us - so we heard them early in our morning. Check out is at 10 am - which is ridiculous in the winter months without someone checking in next (they did extend it - but if we wanted more it was gonna be $50 more per hour - maybe reasonable in the summer season?). It did have a fridge, a keurig, and mini-bar options (we didn't use - but still nice). The TV system is about 20 years old - so though a flat screen - they need to update. Loved the robes - but since no hot tub and small place - didn't get to really use as we wanted (nor our suits). Not sure I would come back - it is well-appointed but for a winter getaway - should have done better for guests.

Inn at Pleasant Beach is pleasant. Room #10 is on the small side. Overlooks pool area which is very nice. Busy with lots of kids. The Inn’s pool is utilized by local residents as a summertime swim club. Lap swim in the early morning and later in the evening are welcome and much quieter. The village area is well done and in season offers most anything you might need.

This property is absolutely stunning. Pricey, but worth every penny. The accommodations are swanky, opulent coastal style. Staff were awesome, communicative. Room was clean, large, quiet, safe, comfortable bedding…just all around nice stay. I will not stay anywhere else when returning to this lovely island. Nice tiny little area with a few restaurants and grocery store within walking distance. Appears to have plenty of street parking. The room was clean but it wasn't a big room. I didn't like that checkout was at 10am (although we left earlier) and that it was additional $50 per extra hour that we were there. Hotels don't do that, so that was a surprise. No microwave either. Overall, it was acceptable, but it wasn't worth the price charged (over $300 per night). I was expecting considerably more for that price. I won't be staying there again.

We stayed in room 6. It was a beautiful room beautiful view. I have 3 complaints 1) when i tried calling the front desk several times, no answer or call back. 2) the mattress needs attention, on the left sure yet was a sleep hole from where to many people had slept there. Needs to be turned or flipped or a new one. 3) they offer coffee in the room, keurig single cup, but there was no regular coffee (just tea, cocoa, and decaf. There container was not stocked) and the most important thing...no CUPS. Went to town and bought coffee and cups. Again, no answer or response from the front desk.
