Well when I checked in, after already calling and submitting a credit card authorization, it kept coming up declined. They claimed they didn't know what the issue was despite the charge showing up on the credit card. I still had to use my debit card. Layer she called and she she cleaned the credit card but there was still a charge on my debit. So essentially 2 deposits went down. I come back to my room, the room looks clean despite a DIGUSTING stain right in the middle on the stop blanket. How did housekeeping get away with making a "fresh bed" with this stain the middle? I requested ti change rooms and it was no problem with who worked the desk that night. The little snack area for purchase was garbage.. especially carrying Dasani water. The restaurant was much to be desired. I had some breakfast coupons and the first day it was cool and the second day all the food was cold and had a layer of "it's been sitting" and not made fresh." The valet team was awesome. Special shoutout to Dennis. I probably wouldn't book here again but it was conveniently located. I also thought it was odd that I came into the room for the first time and all the lights and the tv were on. Very creepy and spooky for me.. it was a mid experience. I'm glad I wasn't relying on this place to feel like a Hilton or Hyatt or even Marriott.

Really cute hotel with New Orleans charm. I liked the valet parking option although it was pricey ($58) for my one-night stay. Staff was pleasant.

Had we been informed about THREE DAYS of fire safety exercises before the deadline for reservation cancellation, we would have rated this hotel much higher. We heard alarms for 3 days, plus people entering our room to test equipment. IT'S NEW ORLEANS! Guests more likely to be out of room late morning through post-dinner. Maintenance could have been scheduled much better. OTOH, James of later day registration was very thorough and even walked me around the corner in search of supplies after dark.
