What guests think

At Best Western Plus Fillmore Inn & Suites, reviewers highlight clean, comfortable rooms, a popular hot breakfast, and a convenient location near I 25 and Garden of the Gods, with the on site pizza restaurant and bar adding dining options.

Staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful, though some guests reported rude interactions, long check in waits, strict deposits, or reservation and maintenance issues. Rooms range from standard to spacious suites with kitchenettes and occasional in room laundry, but several guests noted thin walls, footsteps from above, traffic noise, bright switches, and sliding bathroom doors offering limited privacy. Housekeeping was generally fine, yet a minority cited missed service, lingering odors, or, rarely, pests. Expect a modern, convenient stay with strong value and a few service and noise caveats.

This hotel really surprised me. I usually stay in Hilton and Marriott hotels and that was my intention when visiting Colorado Springs for business. However, when I read the reviews for all of these hotels, Best Western Pro came out on top. And the pictures looked better as well. So I took a chance and booked with BW. I'm glad I did! It far exceeded my expectations in every way possible! The only negative was only one elevator was working so the wait was extra long. I was on the second floor and my room was right next to the exit, so I was good.😁

Very nice hotel, modern looking. Good breakfast with some hot selections plus DIY pancakes, breads, juices, cereal, etc. Pool but no hot tub. Rooms need better sound insulation because we could hear conversations in adjacent rooms and footsteps above us. Beds were comfortable but not quiet--creaky. Good location near I-25, with an IHOP next door.

Upon checking in our 1st room. We found roaches, I called down to the front desk and let them know. They insisted that we come back to the front desk to get a new room. They ended up upgrading us to s beautiful suite! The breakfast was okay (my family and i are vegan). I did like the pizza buffet that they offered although we did not partake. The hotel is conveniently located near downtown Colorado Springs, which is where my family and i go for the vegan restaurants.

5/5? Lies. I’ve had a life-shattering week, & needed a clean hotel room for 1 night. I didn’t arrive until 12:15AM & check-out is at 11. Desk staff on 10/13-14 was nice enough, but I stood at the counter waiting for them to process for 25-30 minutes even though I booked & paid online. They kept talking about pets/fees. I said N/A, I just want to sleep. I get to the room at 1 AM. I notice a loud sound & it’s an ozone machine. I call the front desk asking if it’s safe to have on & especially curious as to why it’s going. She was so rude, “ uh, we can come remove the machine if it’s an issue. It’s fine for it to be on with you in it.” I played dumb, but I have one of these on my garage. You cannot be in the room for 20-30 minutes after a cycle. It also says that on the machine. I was exhausted. I turn it off, and try to relax. The smell is horrific; mold, cigarettes & sewage combined. I had time to eat an apple, brush teeth, then I start to inspect. Beds have hair, smells of cigs. It’s 1:45-2. I don’t know if these 2 individuals just gave me a bad room since it was late & they didn’t care, even though I paid full price? I don’t know whats happened to the service industry I spent years in. Hotels in Springs have been the worst experiences I have had. I’ve lived in 10+ states, & traveled almost all + abroad. CO Spgs takes the cake of OVERPRICED, horrid conditions,& worse service. I was so done. I left. I slept in my Benz & cried the whole night. Kept my $ too.Unkind, Stay away!

The room was very difficult to control heat. Also too much ambient light when everything was turned off and trying to sleep. The clock radio is bright like a beacon, the light switch near door emits way to much brightness and the fire alarm blinks brightly intermittently. My wife slept all night with a pillow over her head, I just used a wash cloth over my eyes. Breakfast is about what I expected. We we're in 4th floor room which was ADA compliant so the shower was ok, if you were about 5'3" tall, my wife liked it but I found pretty awkward.

We decided to book here after adding a quick stop to Garden of the Gods to our Colorado trip. I was not expecting anything over the top or amazing, and was I wrong!! We had a suite with a full kitchen and living area, it was amazing!! So much room for activities, sleeping for 4 adults and 1 child, and full home amenities! The washer and dryer was a great bonus!! Everything was updated and clean, comfy and over the top! The bedding was all brand new and clean, the tv's were super up to date and easy to use!! The only thing that would possibly make it any better would be a small second toilet room, but not a deal breaker as there were many bathrooms throughout the facility that could be used in a pinch!

We had been driving all day and night from Dallas to get to this hotel we booked through Expedia. When we arrived they told us they were fully booked for the night and could not accommodate us. We were refused a refund for almost $200 USD. We had to pay for a completely different hotel on top of this one we had already paid for earlier. I would not trust the management at this hotel.

There were good things and bad things about this hotel. Good things were how close it is to Garden of the Gods and other nearby attractions in Colorado Springs. There are also good nearby restaurants within walking distance. The main bad thing with this hotel was that I felt disrespected by staff at check-in. I was told I was required to sign a paper 3 times and the desk staff acted impatient like they didn't want me to read the paper I was required to sign. I was also required to pay a $300 deposit on check-in. This deposit was refunded to me, but when I questioned the purpose of the deposit (because $300 is a lot of money), I was talked down to and felt like I was treated like I was stupid. Upon review of other customer's reviews after staying here, it does appear that others have felt disrespected by the check-in staff at this hotel. The complimentary breakfast was one of the better complimentary breakfasts I've had at a hotel with a waffle bar, coffee, and juice. The hotel room we stayed in was a suite which included a kitchenette with mini stovetop, washer and dryer, fridge, and dishwasher; this room appeared to be cleaned well upon arrival.

I had a three night stay at this location. The actual location is convenient to get to anywhere fairly quickly in Colorado Springs and the property itself is clean and quite nice. The main problem from my point of view was the front desk staff. Some of them weren’t very welcoming and not professional at all. I walked up to one on the desk staff and said hello and she just stared at me. This was uncomfortable to say the least. Not at all like front desk staff that I am used to being greeted by at countless hotels that I have stayed at in the past. This particular person had a “supervisor” tag on so you would think that she would know better. The buffet breakfast was not great either but the coffee was actually pretty good. The tv in my room had no Netflix or any other app as the router in my room was faulty. I had to ask twice, a full day apart to have someone look at it, but it couldn’t be fixed during my stay. Overall the hotel wasn’t terrible but there were some disappointments, hence this review.

There was an unfriendly staff member at the front desk during our check-in. She raised her voice when asking for my ID and credit card, which felt unnecessary and unwelcoming. After driving for 15 hours, my patience was already worn thin and unfortunately I did raise my voice in response. Being summer, the hotel was understandably busy with families on vacation. However, staying on the second floor proved challenging. There was constant noise from children running in the room from the room above us, from as early as 6 a.m. until around midnight every single day of our stay.

Wow! I have never stayed at a best western before and I arrived exhausted so didn’t know what to expect. Morgan and Amy at the front desk went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable and special from offering a free drink ticket to allowing me to check in a little early to recommending their favorite restaurants in the area. Both Morgan and Amy checked in with me every time I was coming and going from the hotel and were a true highlight of the stay. The bed was extremely comfortable and the whole place was very clean. Overall, I was very impressed and would absolutely stay here again!

I was a little nervous at first because I was noticing a lot of homeless in the area. But we had no issues, the breakfast was great, free parking, and it was close to all the activities we did. My family that stayed at a holiday inn 15 minutes north of us in a “better” area actually got robbed IN THE HOTEL. Someone stole a purse and they had a getaway driver. The only complaint we had was the free breakfast in the morning. It was pretty terrible really. They eggs they served looked like plastic toys from a kids play kitchen set and were unedible. Free breakfast at hotels is not what it used to be.
