Historic Waterfront Marion Motor Lodge in downtown St Augustine

Check in was easy and fast. The location is perfect to park your car and walk around. We got cruise towel shapes on the bed upon entry. Great places to eat near by, the property only has ice and vending machine. We stayed on the second floor. They have a pretty roof top area to sit and watch the water. Everything was as mentioned. No pool no elevator open parking. Simple and easy! We also loved the room set up having 3 individual beds, no bunk beds!!!! I haven’t seen a hotel like that before and it’s amazing. Room was clean and nice. Very large and spacious. It was quiet during the week so we slept great. Highly recommend, based upon location.

We didn't care there was no pool, and while it seemed odd to pay for parking, it was soon obvious that parking anywhere in or near the historic district is impossible. Our room 241 was large, comfortable and incredibly clean! New shower that was fun to use. Trolley tickets can be bought at desk and the stop is right before the motel. Best of all, there is an outdoor seating area for about 20 on the roof above office that is soooo relaxing to just sit and look over the marina and the Bridge of Lions. If you want a comfy bar or to eat in a beautiful outdoor area, OC White's is about 50 feet away! Great food, we ate there several times. The fort is a quick 15 minutes walk, so leave your car and explore. We will definitely stay here again!

Location Location Location. That's what you're paying for. Perfect for our visits to St. Augustine so we don't have to drive anywhere. Beds are comfortable. Nice size mini fridge for all our leftovers. Cons: bathroom is TINY! Parking lot is super tiny and tight, but they always try and work it out. Maybe why they have filled in the pool and current brick paver project is in progress.

waterfront. walking distance to all tourist areas and dining. staff nice. beautiful view. i miss the pool but the extra parking spaces are great. its my favorite city to visit. peaceful

Bathroom very small but nice place. Clean and walkable to St. George street. No pool but that was not a deal breaker for me.

The property is nice and newly renovated so the room was clean and comfortable. The parking lot is VERY small so parking can be a challenge. I had emailed and told them we would be arriving late due to my friend flying in from St Louis and then a 2 hour drive. They never responded. I received a call from a very nice young man that evening around 9pm and told him we were coming and would be very late and to please hold our room. He assured me it was fine and that he just wanted to let security be aware. I was not told the office closed or that late arrival was an issue. Due to circumstances, it was around 2:30am when we arrived. The office was locked up and no one was around. There was a # on the door to call after hours, so I called. The man was very rude and very irritated and kept stating it was 3am. I said that I had told them we would be very late and I did not realize there was a deadline for check in. After all, I had paid for the room for that night. He kept repeating that it was 3am. I finally just stopped talking. He said he would send someone to get a key. A young man came (just out of bed) and gave us an envelope with 2 keys and the room # written on it.He pointed to the room. We hauled our bags up the stairs and the key didn’t work.Someone was already in that room and we woke them up trying to get in!That’s how people get shot these days!! When I called back the reply was, “oh s*#t”He then brought a new key. After that, the stay was wonderful! Just don’t be late!

It is expensive and now, with no pool, didn’t seem worth the money. Parking is an additional $20 per day. Very clean though, and staff is very nice.

We booked this hotel last minute and the price was very reasonable. The room was clean and the location was within walking distance to all the restaurants and shopping area in main St. Augustine strip. That being said, this hotel does not offer any amenities. No gym, no breakfast, no pool, and parking area is limited. However because of so many places around it to eat, it didn’t bother us that there was no breakfast offered on site. Check in and check out was easy, and again, the location and price made up for the lack of amenities. Also, this property is dog friendly which was a big plus for us.

Great location, clean, comfortable bed, and parking just outside the door! Nothing fancy but would recommend and would stay there again.

The room was not maintained well. There were bugs on the ceiling and lots of unfinished pieces- no baseboards under the sink cabinets, paint peeling on the wall and in the bathroom. The bed was so loud and the we couldn't sleep well. It creaked and made awful noises when you moved.

The property is located super close to pier and all of what St.Augustine has to offer. The motel itself is ok but not in the best condition, it looks likes it’s being slowly remodeled and renovated. The room was dirty, had broken fixtures, and broken window glass.

The hotel room was ok the location was good the hotel room was not clean. The bed had other peoples hair and the pillow case had blood or what looked like blood some type of stain on it and the floor was dirty.

Area is in the middle of downtown and everything is walkable, restaurants and main touristic attractions. Room seemed cleaned but shower drain was clogged and full of hairs. Staff came quick to clean it and fix it but it took them a bit. AC unit needed some cleaning. You can hear everything going on outside, but didn’t keep us from having a goodnight. Basically you get what you paid for.

Staff were amazing and very friendly. If you stay, make sure you check your bed sheets thoroughly. Mine were dirty and they didn’t have another room available. The bed sheets had stains and discoloration down to the bed protector cover. They did end up giving me a partial refund but not sure that made up for the stress of staying there. Unfortunately there were no other hotels available within my price range so no other choice but to stay. It is a convenient location.

AC unit was too noise and we were not able to sleep at all. We found a huge cockroach on the floor.

Musty smell walking in for the first time. Wasnt so bad later, had to put a sugar, coffee and creamer packet in the AC unit to stop a vibration. Did have a cough though out the night and wife had a runny nose all day. People who worked there were super nice. Very clean, pillow and bed was hard as a rock. Modern looking room. Never could figure out if the tv worked or not, we tried and well never could get anything on. Probably wont be be back, musty smell just didnt seem right. Sad cause it is a beautiful place and people were very kind.

The good check in was fast and reception very polite and helpfull location is great easy walking distance to fort and historic parts of town. The bad when entering the rooms musty smell was overpowering ( not sure if it was from flooding or humidity but very powerful) shower caulking black mould, shower temperature could not be controlled very hot and scalding, bed had hair on sheet and pillow case was dirty, Was bitten in the night not sure by what. Parking on site is limited get there early Overall not sure where they get their rating of wonderful not really a picky person but would like to get my moneys worth when staying somewhere clean and refreshing would have been nice! Would never recommend this location or stay here again.

Great area, have stayed several times here, this time though, looked a little weathered with cracks in windows, mattresses horribly uncomfortable.

The best location! Rooms recently renovated and very comfortable.

It’s an older motel style place, so not perfect condition but it was immaculately clean, the receptionist was friendly and super helpful. The view is wonderful and there are a couple of chairs outside each room to enjoy the breeze and the spectacularly wide water. Location is excellent. It’s a 5-10 minute walk to the restaurants, shops and historical sites. Leave your car there - nearly all the public lots range between $20-30 flat fee.

This reminds me of one of those vintage motor court motels. But it’s been very nicely upgraded! The location is perfect for walking to everything. The rooms are spacious, the beds comfortable, the showers luxurious, and the air conditioning is top notch (it’s an important thing in St Augustine in the summer!). We loved our stay and thought it was a super value. Will gladly return when we’re back in the area. I would highly recommend it!

Great hotel. Close to St. George St, so you can park your car and walk or take the trolly. There is a trolly stop very close. The rooms are very modern. The only complaint we had was that the beds are very hard. Very quiet.

We arrived at Noon on Christmas Eve and they let us check into our room early! The room was large, clean and the bed was comfortable. The room we had was ground floor and we were able to park right in front of our room. The 2nd floor would be better to see the marina if you like a view. Will definitely stay here again.

Clean and neat with marina/water view.basic but comfortable room- complete with two small recliners. Perfect place to relax at end of long day shopping and sightseeing. Even a rooftop “lounge” on second floor. Don’t expect fancy but clean and cute. Parking is on site but expensive. Good location. Noisy AC, very small bathroom.

Excellent location, fast friendly check-in and check-out, room had everything I needed, was updated and very clean yet retained some of its old style character. Only reason for 4 stars is the mattresses were uncomfortably firm for me and family. Would stay again and bring something soft for the mattress as this little lodge will be a favorite.

So very convenient to everything. Staff is accommodating and friendly. Great place to stay. The only negative was the room above us was quite noisy when they walked around. Don’t know if it was just the room above ours or if all first floor rooms hear the stomping. If you areca light sleeper ask for an upstairs room. Other than that it is very nice. Can leave ur car parked and walk everywhere.

Th room was super cute and clean and in a great area but what did it for me was the customer service !!! They did a courtesy call beforehand and every exchange with Karen in the office was super sweet !! She made it clear she would be there all night if we needed anything and even gave me a bandaid for a blister I had from new shoes !!! Highly recommend and I will definitely be back !!

Great location! Jerry the hotel manager was great…very helpful and friendly. Parking is tight as noted in other reviews. Hotel is clean and has nice size rooms. Would stay here again.

We had a problem inside the room. I reported it early in the morning. The sink had a broken pipe. I reported it to an individual by name of Gabriel. He said that he would have an addressed within an hour we left came back multiple hours later only to find our our door was unlocked. The bed had no sheets on it, and the sink is still not been fixed. I went down and talked to a very nice lady at the front desk. She offered to move us to a different room and help us move to a different room the next day our key would not work on the door so I had to go back down to the front desk. Nobody was manning it. It took him 20 minutes before I can get back into the Room overall not very satisfied with the place the areas around it and everything else was fantastic just because of a historic value of the city, but they need to do something better on customer service and customer care to have a sink break and not even clean up the room or anything else is completely uncalled for unnecessary especially when ““ they have housekeeping on site

The motor lodge is in a perfect location to visit St Augustine. The staff at check-in were efficient and knowledgeable. We were able to purchase our hop on, hop off trolley tickets on the spot! We highly recommend staying at the Marion!

We loved our stay here! The location is truly unbeatable. The staff were friendly and accommodating and the room was in perfect condition. I loved sipping my coffee on the upper deck and watching the sun rise!

Spent July 3 and fourth here. Location is excellent. Plenty of things to walk to. Very nice to sit on my porch and watch the boat traffic go by. Love that they had an actual freezer that worked along with my refrigerator. The rooms have been updated and are fine. If you’re looking for more upscale, go up the street to the Hilton. But this offers the best value for your money without feeling like you’re in a seedy hotel. It will be my go to whenever wanting to stay in downtown historic Saint Augustine.!

The motel was very conveniently located by the bay and Old Town. Very easy walk to restaurants and Night of Lights. The rooms are updated and they were thoughtful with what is available in the room (couch, small recliner, Keurig, etc). The front desk staff were nice and helpful and made great suggestions for dinner. Parking was a little tricky but they have plans for additional spaces.

Great stay, although older property without a pool or breakfast. Comfortable room, squeaky bed, frig and microwave. 2 lazyboy chairs inside room, 2 patio chairs outside room. Excellent location, good value.

Convenient spot to be able to walk to everything without having to worry about driving through the busy streets to get somewhere.

We loved the location. Very walkable to the historic area. Wonderful restaurants near by. The shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in the shower are mostly clogged and dispense very little product. Bring your own.
