Everything about our stay was amazing. The hotel has so much history and character. We used the complementary bikes to explore the Notre Dame campus. The staff was very friendly, the facility was beautiful and I was a short walk away from everything on campus. The bed was comfortable and it was easy to adjust the room temperature. Also, the shower was super simple to get to the right temperature and felt amazing. I did not order from the restaurant attached, but the menu had some delicious-sounding items on it. I do wish there was a free continental breakfast as an option to the more robust, paid breakfast service. Other than that, everything was great and I liked the extra layer of security of using your room card to access floors via the elevator. I will definitely go back!

Beautiful property on Norte Dame campus. Cleaniness in the hotel room and public spaces was pristine. Parking: if you park in their lot is $18/day. Free parking if you don't mind a 5-10 min walk. Only issue we had was that we paid for the room through Orbitz at time of booking but the Front Desk Clerk charged us again at checkout. I didn't discover until I checked my credit card statement on line. I emailed the property and provided documentation showing their error and 3 days later am still waiting on a response. I then called, explained the issue and asked who i could talk to to resolve this problem and was told the Front Desk Manager. Left a message 1 day ago and so far no response back. Staff should get 5 stars but I am only giving 3 stars for their laxk of responsiveness to this issue.

Nice hotel nestled in the middle of Notre Dame's campus. Half of the hotel restaurant was closed for a private event and the other half was booked with reservations, so it was pretty disappointing to not be able to eat or grab a drink at the restaurant within the hotel I stayed at. We walked 15 mins to another hotel for dinner. HVAC in the room was also an issue. It was 80 degrees when we arrived in the room so I turned the cooling on the thermostat but that was disabled so we had to open the windows to get it to a normal room temperature.

The staff and room were nice… However, the stay was just ok. Nothing to write home about. I requested 3 robes for the room and there were only 2. Not a big deal, but my husband I were taking our daughter for her 4th birthday and doing a “spa” night for her. I explained this on the preference sheet. This is not my first stay here. Additionally, I work in hospitality (at Notre Dame, but not for Notre Dame), so I know what level to expect. I know what can be done for guests. I also know what is done for “special guests”. We are not anyone special but it’s disappointing to have a simple request ignored… especially working in hospitality and I know how simple it is to make a guest’s day. Overall, not left with a great impression.

We felt like we were staying at a dorm on campus. My daughter was playing soccer against Notre Dame. She thought it would be fun to stay on campus. Tons of college kids in the shared spaces making the paying customer second to them. Also I he lady that worked the front desk was incredibly rude. I understand that they are full of pride but so are other teams and their families. Will not be coming back to the college or the hotel. Should have asked for a refund. Very uncomfortable.

Morris Inn is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful, quaint place to stay when visiting Notre Dame. Location is perfect. The rooms are clean and fresh, the premises well maintained. This was my second stay at the hotel. However, the overall attitude of the staff did not quite match the level and experience they are striving for. We were hoping to check in a little earlier than the 4 PM check in time due to complications on our trip, and I called in the morning about this. The staff member was curt and without regret told me that that is highly unlikely to happen. And in fact, when we came to the hotel at 4:15, we still had to wait another 15 minutes to get to our suite. No one spoke to us about breakfast upon check-in. Turned out that you really need a reservation for a table for breakfast! So on a Monday morning, we ended up waiting, standing in the lobby for a good 15 minutes to be seated. The three young hostesses were frankly arrogant when interacting with us. Thank you, please, sorry to have kept you waiting, none of these phrases were part of their vocabulary. They did not even reply to me when we left after breakfast and I wished them a good day. Blatantly unfriendly, felt very awkward. Checking out went well. But overall, it was a clear mismatch, the hotel facilities are all about timeless style, quality and hospitality while the staff was mediocre at best. I hope the management will look into it and bring the customer service to where it needs to be.

If I could give it 11 or 12 out of 10, I would. The staff was wonderful. The room was perfect. The restaurant was terrific and the location (right in the heart of the Notre Dame campus) was unbelievable. I will go out of my way to stay at the Morris Inn if I’m anywhere close in the future.
