Ivy Court Inn and Suites

All good except elevator door opens and closes at a glacial pace. Hotel seems a bit tired but overall stay was fine.

The hotel is right across the street from Notre Dame campus. The rooms are spacious and the lobby has fruit, cookies, and coffee all day long. Wonderful destination.

Was a great size room and very accommodating. Well maintained. The only thing I would change is having a ramp to go inside the building for wagons or even wheelchairs there was not an easy way to get up the steps to the lobby

We’re very pleased and pleasantly surprised with our 2-day stay at Ivy Court. Comfortable and quiet with nice amenities of fruit, snacks and drinks available all day and a wonderful hot breakfast in the morning. Everything was very clean, and as other reviews note, some aspects of this place are a little dated or tired, but it didn’t detract from our experience. While our visit had no connection to Notre Dame, if you were, this would be a great location. We were just sightseeing in Elkhart and LaGrange counties in Indiana and Southwest and central Michigan and this was a good location for us.

I wish we had stayed here for n the past. It was great. The font porch on the main inn was great space to hang out & have a cocktail. Just make sure there are not any rooms. The breakfast was good. Only issue we had was our card word deactivate which was a fix quickly. The ice machine were great. Will recommend this place in the future.

Nice little hotel. We had a great laugh every time we took the elevator, the door is incredibly s l o w! The room is a nice size. The bed is comfortable and the room is dark. We will definitely be back.

The property is super convenient to campus. My son played in a rugby match and it is about a mile to Stinson field. It's also 6-8 min from our favorite restaurant The Lauber. The room was large and spacious. The decor is a little dated but not horrible. The bed was very comfortable which is really all we cared about anyway. The breakfast is standard fare with the nice exception that they will do cook to order eggs which was a nice treat. Easy parking, easy access to campus and restaurants- we will stay again when we come.

Great location if attending an ND athletic event as it is an easy walk to campus.

The room was quite large, and very very clean.

This was a fine stay, although I ran into some issues around maintenance. The bed was fine, and the property seemed very clean. The room's layout was odd. Both TVs did not work ("no connection"), which I discovered the last evening when I settled in to watch a movie. I didn't ask for help because I didn't want to deal with it. My hair dryer did not work (they brought me a new one on request). The sink drain smelled really musty and drained very slowly, which was gross when washing my face, brushing teeth or getting water. A knob fell off the faucet. A sign in the room said housekeeping would only be provided upon request, so I was very startled to come in after my second night and find that someone had made the bed, etc., which I had not requested -- that made me uncomfortable, and I would have left a tip had I known (and requested) service. Good location to Notre Dame U and easy parking.

Very clean and quiet. Breakfast buffet was great with many offerings. Front desk courteous. Would definitely recommend!!!

Staff was nice. Building was antiquated. Furnishings in room were stained and retro 1970s. Definitely overpriced for the accommodations and especially off season. This should be associated with a motel 6

Older facility but very nice large rooms, Breakfast was amazing.

This is our second stay at this hotel and we love it. The size of the room is superior. The only issue we have is the road and traffic sounds during the night. We would love to have the opportunity to stay in a quieter room.

Really nice for an older hotel. Right across from Notre Dame athletic fields. Only negatives are beds are hard (not terrible though), took forever for the water to heat up, and slightly dated decor. Room is huge. Clean. And close our venue.

Nice spot, good location, good room. Only downside is the ability to hear people on floor above.

Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Facility was clean and well decorated. Problems encountered. 1) mattress was uncomfortable. 2) toilet was very slow, even after maintenance came to check it out and 3) right across the street from a loud, noisy bar/restaurant which made a lot of noise into the wee small hours.

This was a great place to stay. We will be staying at this hotel next time we come to South-bend. The breakfast was great as well! The maid service would knock on our door every morning to clean the room. We had hung the magnet on the outside of the door letting them know we did not want the service. It was a bit annoying but the benefits of every thing else out weighed the annoyance

Ivy Court cancelled my room less than 1 week prior to when I was scheduled to stay there after I had the reservation for over a year. They then claimed they would find me another hotel room and never did that despite me reaching out to them multiple times. Extremely unreliable and would not trust that they will have your hotel room for you.

Every one of the front desk clerks went above and beyond to be helpful and positive in their interactions with us.

I’d really like to give a great review but there were some issues. It was clean and the breakfast was decent. In other reviews I saw complaints about road noise. Our room was right by the road and it was not a problem. My biggest issue was our room was never made up once! We had to go every day and ask for clean towels. Our trash was overflowing because it was never emptied. I’m not into new sheets everyday but at least come in and empty my trash once a day! My other complaint would be it is in definite need of updating. Little things like the crazy slow elevator would have made a huge difference

Person working the front desk absolutely reeked of marijuana - It was very strong and nauseating. He barely spoke during the check in- just mumbled behind a mask.

Our room was clean. However, It took 15 minutes to get hot water. Didn’t matter the time of day. We need hot water to was our hands properly, shower, proper hygiene. Bathroom sink took 8 plus minutes to drain. Had to wait for it to drain after brushing my teeth and then use my Clorox wipes to disinfect for my husband to use the sink. And then wait 8 plus minutes for it to drain again. The manager finally put us in another building. There are 3 employees that were welcoming. The other employees are quite unfriendly and as they sit in the room by the front desk we always got the feeling we were bothering them . One even commented when we had told her about no hot water in the afternoon and we needed to shower “who showers in the afternoon “! And when asking for clean towels or toilet paper or shampoo… it felt like we were a bother. Carter is an amazing employee. Always kind, willing to help, thoughtful, and get whatever was asked for with kindness. When he worked there was always hot coffee and iced tea and chocolate chip cookies. On many of the evenings that he did not work forget it. The employee on the desk did not replenish. There was a large group of teenagers there. Sadly only 2 were polite. Breakfast was rough. We feel because it is a dated motel simple upgrades would help. Higher toilet seats, checking the drains in sinks, making sure there is hot water, and checking smoke detectors. We would stay there again. The facility needs a better plan for troubleshooting.

Have stayed here a few times — amazing value and location for the price. Staff is extremely friendly! This time, Expedia messed up the reservation but they made sure to take care of it. We’ll be back!

Great location. Quiet Comfortable

The breakfast was excellent! Our room had wet carpet under the AC unit and the room and bathroom were quite old and outdated. The elevator is insanely slow so you must use the stairs.

Really nice little inn. Stay away from the rooms by the main road(request to be away from the road), and then it’s really lovely.

If you value sleep think twice about staying here. The bar located directly across the street played loud, bass thumping music until 2:30am. The staff was courteous and responsive. Breakfast was above average for hotel breakfasts. Location to campus was convenient.

Stayed here during an event at Notre Dame. Excellent stay. They were well prepared for an early check in, which was fast and effortless. Double room was more spacious than I expected, clean and comfortable. Breakfast was surprisingly good (eggs, bacon, sausage, hash browns, cereal, toast, waffles, bagels, pastries, coffee, juice). Short walk to Notre Dame stadium. Several restaurants, bars, cafes within walking distance. And free parking was great. Would stay again.

Great variety of breakfast items. Breakfast burritos were great. Very clean place to stay. Room was nice, well paid out, very roomy. Bathroom was spotless. Fridge was cold upon arrival.
