Farmstead Inn and Conference Center

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was very clean, beds were comfortable, location great, staff friendly. Would stay here again. We were disappointed the hot tub is closed permanently, they should remove the hot tub from their amenities list. The hot items on the breakfast buffet could be improved, ie; fresh scrambled eggs as opposed to powered eggs and a little better quality sausage but there was enough other items we didn’t go hungry.

Elegant, yet affordable property. Kiddie depth pool for littles separate from large pool. Unique setting for hot tub. Handicapped accessible room has roll-in shower, ample sized bathroom suitable for wheelchair use. Large selection of breakfast items. Quite a walk from hotel to breakfast area and pool, but all indoors.

Only problem was the hot tub was closed

Room was very clean, Breakfast was ok not great just ok. Hot Tub couldve been cleaner walls surrounding it were dirty green, not a good atmosphere but the water was great. Location is the best. and smoking area outside away from everyone but not far from entrance was accomadating.

Overall a wonderful experience and stay. The property was well serviced/maintained and friendly assistive staff. Nit picking but wish that the hot tub was in service, completely torn down hopefully for a refit. Also the heater to the indoor pool needs to be cranked up a little bit😎 The mattress was a little bit on the to o firm side, May be because we were in a handicap accessible room.

We had a great stay. We're a family of 4, we got a classic room, 2 Queen beds, there was plenty of space for everyone. The pool area is an amazing experience for a family with something for everyone, a large pool, a kiddie pool and a large hot tub! The breakfast was an exceptional breakfast for a hotel! The best hotel breakfast i have ever had!!

Kids love the swimming and the play ground.

24/7 hot coffee available in at least two locations and a very nice breakfast buffet. Comfortable beds and an attractive pool that I hadn't foreseen so didn't take a suit. Next time I'll check the pool out- and yes, there will be a next time!

Beautiful property. Several places to walk around. Pool and hot tub are nice and clean. Very friendly staff. Room is spacious and has beautiful windows for a nice view

When I took a shower, there were long black hairs on the wall. Disgusting. I have short white hair. When I told the front desk and showed them a picture of it, they just shrugged and said they would talk to housekeeping. Didn’t seem to really care.

This is an excellent place to stay. We have stayed here often over the past 25 years. It is always clean always friendly very comfortable. If you visit Shipshewana, this is the best place to stay!

This is one of the cleanest hotels we have ever stayed in.

Only problem was the last 3-times we stayed there they switched to fire stick on the TV and it does not work good or locks out. We called front desk 3-times and they came up and reset. Got tired of calling so just did without TV at night

This area is a favorite quick get away spot for my husband and I. Close, but still far enough away. This hotel is always clean and comfortable with an amazing breakfast! Beds are really comfy too. The only negative for us this stay was the shower head seemed extra low in the wall of the shower.

Carpet was dirty in room. Shower head was made for little people. Lighting needs updated

I absolutely loved my stay here. The room was spacious and clean. The staff were friendly and I would definitely stay here again. My only complaint was the hotel's internet was practically unusable.

Farmstead is a good place to stay in Shipshewana. The room was very clean and the staff is professional and friendly. The room we were in was nice but there seemed to be no sound proofing with our neighbors. We could hear in surprising detail the conversations our neighbors were having on their phone. So loud and annoying. We didn't complain to the front desk because this all started around 9:30 in the evening. We were already prepared for bed so it seemed easier to put up with it. We like this place to stay but this visit was not the best experience.

Comfortable beds. Enjoyed having recliners to relax on. Friendly staff. Breakfast offered a variety of tasty choices!

We had a bad experience with their king bed!!! It was very uncomfortable, we only got a few hours sleep that night!! We told them about it and they did change us into another room and it was much better but still a harder bed then we're use to, woke up this morning with sore backs!

We have been coming to Farmstead for some time now and always had a great experience, but last night was different.The staff appeared to be unwelcoming from the beginning. We were told immediately upon untry to keep our kids from running on property. Later in the night we and two other families with kids were disturbed by staff who came to our table complaining with minor infractions. The approach was rather dramatic and rude judging by raised tone of voice and somewhat tense stance. After shift changed another staff member immediately came up to us reminding of quaiet hours despite keeping our voices low as possible. Before midnight ( New Year) one lady was laughing and was approached by staff saying that she could not laugh...the lady literally started crying in disbelief. She said that she has been coming to Farmstead for some time but was never treated like that. It is worth to mention that facility was pretty occupied with lots of families with children. I did not see the staff coming up to other families in such a way which made me think that they simply did not like us for whatever reason. Another issue is that the hotel is pretty expensive but has not been updated. Tiles are cracked, lots of caulk around gaps,and old floors in rooms; fireplace was out. No entertainment in common areas like tv, lounge, or gaming. We and the two other families are completely disappointed with such an always welcoming staff. Ww won't stay there ever again.

The room itself was great, but I was not happy with the check in and check out period and hotel cleaning staff. My wife and I arrived around noon, and I know that check in is suppose to be at 3pm but I received an email from them stating that my room was ready and waiting for us. Due to that email I assumed my room was ready and I could check in early. When we got there, they said my room was not ready so my wife and I had to kill time until check in. I was also woken up before 8am by the hotel cleaning staff knocking on doors to clean the rooms on top of the rude hotel guests making noise when signs are present saying "quiet zone". During the check out process, all they cared about is getting the room keys. They didn't care about how my stay was.

Check in went very smoothly. Front desk very wrlcoming. Room was very clean, as was the whole facility. Beautifully decorated for Christmas.

Super clean, bed was very comfortable. Loved having a refrigerator and microwave. Had a problem with the TV but it was taken care of immediately even though they were totally booked and super busy. Have stayed here many times through the years.

Met my siblings there for a funeral. The front desk were gracious and very accommodating. The hotel was perfect for what we needed. It was only a one night stay but I'd return again to enjoy the surrounding community.

Great hotel. Bathroom needs updated but still nice. Had a little problem with check in. Young man at front counter needed a bit more training. Over all would stay again.

Was not happy to be woken up at 0800 with vacuums a loud housekeeping walk e talkies outside our door. Plus you need to oil the wheels on the vacuum, I could hear them squeak inside our room.

It is very close to everything we wanted to see in Shipshewana.

Excellent location, beautiful very well manicured lawn and flowers, lots of room to go for walks, ride bikes, and extremely walkable to attractions. Wonderful full breakfast!!

Great place to stay for a show at the Blue Gate Performing Arts Center. Great staff. Nice big room.

Liked 2 comfortable chairs in the room. It was close to the Blue Gate Music Hall and the Shipshewana Flea Market and other shopping places.

The breakfast was super..every thing was hot and had a nice selection. The staff was very friendly. Rooms was very clean and welcoming. Wi-Fi was a little slow but expected with the amount of quests.

The walls are thin, so sound carried through walls easily and distractingly. Conversation in neighboring room was clearly audible. Free breakfast was disappointing in quality and variety. No fresh fruit.

The facility was very spacious and it had areas where families could gather with funiture and tables. The breakfast was good. Large seating area. The beds were great, and the rooms were large.
