Helpful concierge—helped me find a great restaurant nearby that also fit into my schedule. The hotel has tons of art in it, fun place to to stay. The bathroom had a large shower with decent soaps (malin + goetz). Valet parking and check in and a late checkout were a breeze. Location is right in the best part of Lexington too.

Really cool, historic, yet updated hotel. That is.. if you can find it. You have to go by what the picture looks like of the outside to find it because theres no signage. We had to call to see where we were and you also have to park across a busy street and pay to park. There's signs. On the building that advertise the lockbox, and also it says its a bank..which it used to be. The restaurant is VERY limited in its selections. But overall cool, unique place to stay.

While the hotel is “cool” and we loved the art, it is looking a bit tired. The beds were comfy but the AC had a mind of its own and very loud. The shower situation is not for the elderly-a very deep tub/ shower combo with no grab bar that made getting in and out an adventure. The elevators seemed iffy and the gym was dirty. There was 1 yoga mat which was peeling. I was sent someone else’s folio which is questionable.

Of course the museum on the second floor was a bonus. My room was large with a seating area and small round table to catch up on a few work items. The bathroom, also spacious and very clean. A very comfortable robe was included. I ended up using the valet service they offer, quick and friendly. There are a few parking garages nearby if you want to avoid a $30 fee tip. Only negative was the pillows were too rounded, great for propping up, but not for sleeping for me.

The restaurant at the property, Lockbox, has great brunch food. Possibly the best eggs Benedict I've ever had. The front desk staff at check in and the valet at check out were lovely, as were most of my staff we encountered. The rooms are dated, somewhat unclean, and have received the "landlord's special" in many of the details. The gallery seemed empty, and may have been in transition. We've stayed at the 21C in Louisville and I'm Cincinnati- it's all about the details.

The building and art are interesting, but it is not well maintained. BOTH elevators were out the night we stayed and I was located on the 12th floor. My son, who was on the 15th floor, walked down and back up to bring the things I needed. The HVAC unit was right by the bed so VERY loud and disturbed my sleep.

I arrived with my small Children 2 hours before the 4 o’clock checkin. I was advised that my room was ready but if I wanted to check in I would have to pay $35. I’ve never in my life had to pay for an early check in when my room was ready. The hotel is filthy and falling apart. It was not worth the $350 a night cost. I will not be returning .

This was not up to the standards of a 21c. We have stayed at other locations and this one was lacking. There was weird chunky stuff growing in our shower and small hairs on the bathroom sink. The rooms are blandly decorated and not at all what I expected for a 21c. The staff really acted like they didn’t want be there. The restaurant food wasn’t anything special with exception - the mushroom soup. We would not stay here the next time we are in Lexington.

The room was immaculate. My only issue was the common bathroom in the lobby. It was terribly maintained and had feces on the toilet and toilet paper all over the floor. We met friends for brunch at the LockBox, and I was embarrassed at the condition of the restroom after commenting to my friends about the high end nature of the hotel. Also, if requiring an 11 AM checkout, there should be a secure area to leave bags, not just sitting them on the floor next to the desk clerk. I was very uncomfortable leaving my bags in the exposed area where anyone could have easily walked by and taken them without the desk clerk being aware.

The hallway floor tile was cracked in multiple places and had dirt caked in the cracks as well as the floor just being dirty overall. The hotel seems to be trying to maintain the original elements of the building (like the floor tile in the halls) but those elements are not in good repair. The bed was comfortable though smaller than expected. The bathroom was large and nice.

It was a neat experience staying and the staff was amazing. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable and the room was either burning hot or freezing cold, no middle ground. Also the pictures online made the rooms look a little bigger, we had a queen room, and there was literally just room for the bed and the bathroom.

Cool interesting place, I can see them adding more to the museum and having a hit. The restaurant downstairs was had great drinks with a bourbon and whiskey menu that was phenomenal!! The surrounding area had plenty to offer with bars and restaurants. Just need a fridge in the rooms

Price is high for a small room but it was a good location. But, more importantly, the TV and phone didn’t work so we had to go down to the lobby late and have a service guy come to our room. When I nicely reported same at checkout, the staff said “thanks for letting me know”, not exactly a stellar answer.

Had an amazing experience at 21c! The staff from valets, to front desk, to restaurant and bar staff were extremely friendly and professional. In fact, we're now friends with two of the bartenders - that's an amazing level of service! We had an issue with something in our room and the front desk supervisor took care of it immediately. The room was in need of some refurbishment, but was clean and comfortable. Small things, not anything major, just normal wear and tear. Highly recommend 21c and will book with them again when we're in Lexington.

Stay was fine, but they overcharged me and after asking about it at checkout, a call to them, hotels.com calling them and an email they won’t fix it. They were rude to me on the phone and argued that they didn’t charge me. I sent them a photo of my credit card statement but got no response. Watch your charges if you stay with them.

We love this hotel. We've stayed at three 21c Museum Hotel's so far - Lexington, Louisville, and Cincinnati - and this one is by far our favorite. Lovely rooms, nice view, and an easy walk to the best restaurants and bars in the city.

21C is nice hotel, but we were disappointed in the broken/slow elevators during our stay. The area of downtown Lexington was not the best for safety. In the middle of the night, people could be heard partying/screaming across the street, while loud cars raced through the downtown streets.

Very nice boutique hotel downtown. We were in town for a tour of UKY. We walked to Rupp for a game and walked to the tour the next day. Nice quiet area with dining options near by. I highly recommend this hotel and will stay here again.

On the plus side the location of the 21C Museum hotel was very convenient to the central part of Lexington with many parks and restaurants to choose from nearby. With that said, the negative side was that the parks were filled with homeless people, sleeping all night everywhere. I did not expect to see that. The rooms were spacious and clean and the beds comfy, however, even being on the 11th floor, the street noise from Main Street from about 10 pm to 2 am woke me up. Not so much from the folks partying (there were several weddings going on Fri and Sat nights), but from morons revving their engines, either car or motorcycle, and it sounded like they were drag racing down the street. Rough two nights sleeping. The breakfast down in the Lockbox restaurant was good and there is a Starbucks right down the street for coffee. The Valet service was wonderful and very prompt

We absolutely loved this hotel. The room was spacious and well appointed. The staff was amazing, they were all very friendly and helpful. The adjoining Lockbox restaurant is super tasty and has great bartenders! The area has great restaurants and bars all within a few blocks. Public parking is literally less than a block away and its half price of the valet.

Right downtown with plenty to do. It had snowed 6 inches so we had to eat at hotels restaurant. Great drinks but food somewhat limited. The artwork was amazing. Highly recommend

There is no early check in without paying 30$ fee. The room set up is nice as well as the location. The rooms need to be deep cleaned. The free nightly pour is more of a small swallow. The restaurant is okay- the lounge is nice. It just doesn’t feel like a 4 star.
