It was a good stay all but the pool was dirty and when ask if we can get a net so my husband can clean the bugs out the maintenance man said they don’t let guest clean the pool they have someone else outside hotel do it and that weekend was hot and kids were looking forward to getting into a clean pool not full of bugs

Best Bakersfield Hotel experience. Very clean, quiet, breakfast with price. Cold water offered. Too be hot, pool needed to be cleaned. so many bugs in it and large bugs at the bottom. I would have netted them out hut there qas no pool net. My kids and I freaked out.Huge wasp kepy attacking us while in pool. West nile? Other than that, we LOVED our stay here. Clerk was very attentive and enyjoyed the welcoming small chat.

After a four hour journey with three children, we arrived to find the pool was closed for maintenance. Extremely frustrating given that was the sole reason for booking this specific hotel in Bakersfield. Staff completely unapologetic. However, the room itself was clean and comfortable with all the amenities you would expect to find. Disappointing to see that this place uses plastic cutlery and disposable plates/cups/bowls for breakfast. Poor quality and bad for the environment! Breakfast was so-so but the children enjoyed the pancake machine.

Located in secluded area, close to freeway. Plenty of parking. Enjoyed the breakfast, rooms were very clean and AC worked great (this is key especially for location). Shower included shampoo, conditioner and body wash. Didn’t need to bring my own extra toiletries. If I’m ever in the area again, would definitely book here.

Comfortable bed. Good water pressure. Only issue was multiple ants coming out of the sink in the bathroom. Not sure if this is something that can be dealt with or just a common infestation in this part of the country at this time of year. Absolutely no other issues.

I had high hopes I had been told this was a great hotel, and the reviews were good when we checked in, I asked for a luggage cart and was told they didn’t have any. Then we went to our room. The carpet was frayed the bathroom was dirty. There was multiple bugs (black beetles) in the bathroom. We had two towels for five people we went down to get the additional 3. We also discovered we needed to go and get bedding for the pull out at the front so we went back down. The bedding had stains on both beds that had bedding. All in all it was not a great stay and this hotel definitely needs some love.

Our hotel room was infested with Ants in the morning when we woke up. On small dinning table , the ants we’re coming from window. I went down stairs and spoke to desk clerk and he said i basically had to wait until engineer to come in at 2:30 or wait to change rooms after 11am. I went and had breakfast and told him I would wait. During that time he found us a room and it was way smaller than room we booked I took it but he offered no discount.

The worst thing in the room is the wall thermostat DOES NOT WORK!!! When it is OFF, the heater continues on, not stop at all, and if you change the temperature up or down, the heater does not do so. Being in a High Heat area, the air conditioner only came on a few times every hour, so the air was warm and stuffy with no circulation on the 3rd floor. Would of been nice at least to have the fan. But they take any control from you with the Thermostat that doesn't go below 69 degrees.

Worst check in experience I have ever had. The front desk lady put up a sign and sat 10 feet away behind a wall while multiple customers waited for her to take a break. She acted like we were crazy to be upset that we were being ignored by her. No apology what so ever, she just acted as if nothing had happened at all. Really rude and not at all what I would expect from a hotel like this.

I gave it a poor rating because when I got there to check in I had to wait almost 26 minutes (I actually set a timer)before someone showed up at the front desk. I suggest if the front desk is going to be left unattended that a sign be put up with a return time. It will save the attendant from upset customers who just want to check in. I am travelling with a palliative child so these little things mean a lot. I reserved a room for six and had to return to the desk for bedding and towels then was told there would be no pillows. I stated that was unacceptable and the young man found me 3 pillows.

Our overnight stay here was standard: Service was perfunctory, breakfast was better as a Continental one since there were no scrambled eggs left by 9aish and they didn’t look too appetizing, and no bottled water is offered at all. The room was clean; husband saw spots on a towel; the room was kept cool enough. You definitely get what you pay for! I had booked an accessible room 5 months ago, and when I went into the room I thought it was small, but the bathroom door looked large, but should have looked in. The only accessible thing was the handle in the tub which I needed a walk-in shower which I should have had, plus the toilet was too low for me, and no handles to lift myself up. Also, the breakfast was horrible, and after the workman got theirs there was nothing left. The woman who was doing the breakfast was not filling up anything very fast so had to wait for hot stuff.
