Concord Plaza Hotel

The staff at this hotel was amazing! They were all so kind and friendly and helpful! But there was a a lot to be desired at this hotel. For starters we specifically booked this hotel because it had an indoor hot tub, a complimentary hot breakfast, and a pool. Well the hot tub was closed and looked like it had been for quite some time, the pool was dirty and there was no place to sit, and the breakfast was very disappointing. The only hot thing was oatmeal. Then it was some fruit and bagels or toast. That to me does not qualify as a hot breakfast. On top of that our room not in great condition either. The vent in the bathroom didn't work, the bath towels were barely bigger than hand towels, the lights were flickering, and several the outlets did not work, the bedding consisted of a sheet and a light weight blanket and we freezing! You can tell that at some point this hotel was very nice - but it has been majorly neglected and needs some TLC.

I try to do my best to avoid leaving a negative review, but I feel compelled to share my recent experience at the Concord Plaza. Not enough room to write a full review and really capture the experience so Ill just summarize. Stayed in August in the middle of summer. Room was 85 degrees. Waited 3 hours before ùthey finally gave us another room. Elevator broken so we had to use the stairs. Stairwell doors locked. Fun. Spa out of order. Its been out of order for over a year. New room had red stains like a pool of red liquid dried. The pool had a 2 inch layer of green sludge and oily ooze. No way Im getting in there. Our key cards would demagnatize every 12 hours. 3 day stay not once did workers step inside to clean change linen ect. We were only given 1 towel for the entire 3 days. Entire place reaked of Marijuana. The ceiling in the hallway has black mold and severe water damage. Seemed to be only one poor guy working the front desk for 24/7. He was very nice nice amd helpful. The pool and spa were a big reason we booked at the Plaza. Both were unusable. Literally the worst hotel experience ive ever had.

Property was under construction, but the room was very nice and the staff very friendly. The lobby and courtyard are beautiful! Courtyard has lots of ponds, trees and a very tropical feel to it. The pool is nice, but the spa was out of order. Breakfast did not have a lot to offer, but I did enjoy my stay here.

Wedding and multiple events closed off the arboretum so no on else could use. Room was not ready till 4:35 - staff setting up for events not enough housekeepers to have rooms ready for a check in on time A/C broken in room - carpet furnishings old and dirty

We stayed here for two nights. They served free breakfast, had a warm pool that was open in the morning, and have a beautiful indoor courtyard. Four stars because the hot tub was part of why we chose to stay and it was closed.

The bougiest bang for your buck in the area. I couldn't find anything else as nice for such an reasonable price.The place is clean, has comfortable beds, lots of amenities, super friendly staff and despite being right behind an airport super quiet. Only complaint I would have is they charge $15/day for parking witch seems excessive, but it is at least a secure gated lot.

I don’t even know where to begin, in lobby is about the only site that looks promising, however beware of the elevator is death trap, rooms smelled bad and dust on bedding and red marks, moved twice, rust on bathroom mirror, smelled like mold etc

It was a huge property with a really fancy-feeling courtyard. The room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The pool was nice, but the hottub was out of order and seemed like it would be for awhile! That was my only disappointment. Overall we had a good 1 night stay

My room had bedbugs

This hotel has a lot of potential but under the bed was still dirty, there was stains on the bedsheets, the shower draining was not clean. The towels were smaller than the average towels. The mirror in the room was dirty. There was no window screens. The window area had a smell. Maybe if they upgraded the whole room this would be such a great hotel but aside that the pool is dirty af and the hot tube was out of order

Unfortunately the beds were full of bed bugs we did complain about it to the front desk they offered to give us our money back it was a very bad experience

Misleading 5 star rate, our room was dirty. The carpets, ceiling and walls in bathroom had stains. Wish I could submit the photos. Grimy parking lot & room. we were out in the back of the hotel where the rooms were old and dirty. Be careful you get what you pay for I guess.

Moldy room. Mold in restroom and drapes. Floor was dirty and room smelled like mold and unclean. Both guests left itchy, coughing, and informed the front staff and was provided with the managers card. Breakfast options were not good at all. This hotel was not like this in years past and unclear why it has gone downhill.

The lobby is lovely and deceptive. The rooms are small, ants were everywhere, 2 of the four rooms our group had did not have AC. The toilets barely flushed. Breakfast offerings were oatmeal and muffins, no creamer for coffee and no alternative sugar options for our diabetic, hot tub was completely empty. Morning of checkout house keeping knocked 3 times between 830a-11a check out is noon.

The room was dusty and the drapes were trear . But a comfortable bed.

The front desk person was really helpful but other than that this hotel is really old and really dirty. I would t come back again.

The room I paid for was not available when I arrived at 530 pm. I had liked this hotel for the warm hotel pool, the jungle, and my nostalgia. The pool was a chilly 70 degrees for our trip this time. I did not swim. The hotel gym is good. I did not understand I needed to ask for our room to be cleaned. Perhaps I do not travel often. The interior still has the fantastic house plant jungle. It’s a worn down hotel. When my family came in January 2025 we found a cockroach in our room. I forgot to say anything then. The staffing is minimal. The bar is not worth your time or money. The ficus trees and warm indoor pool were what I came back for this December. I will not come back again.

Hotel is run down and needs cleaning.

We stayed one night to go to a concert with the area. The room was just what we needed: comfortable, clean, roomy. The only thing we missed was access to more tv channels (specifically sports channels). We’ll stay again.

I spent a 2 nights there and it was okay for the price. Great location but the hotel buildings need to be updated.

Good hotel for the price. The rooms were large and comfortable.. only issue was some kids above us ran around until 11pm every night.

When ever I’m in the area, the CPH is my first choice of places to stay. The rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet. The internal courtyard is beautiful (pool, spa, and restaurant are located within). I would definitely recommend the hotel.

My room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and they had nice fluffy pillows. The room was a nice size with a microwave, Keurig, and a mini refrigerator. The only down fall of the room was the size of the bathroom! It was so small! It was the size of a standard 1/2 bath in our home! Our room was facing an airport but was relatively quiet! I would definately stay again!

The staff was helpful and friendly. The room was clean and well furnished. I will definitely be staying here the next time I’m in the city.

No AC - couldn’t get anyone to answer front desk by phone or person. Worst stay EVER!! Let message for manager no returned phone calls. Horrible stay!

I clearly have the do not disturb sign on my door and the house keeping lady kept knocking and then opened the door while I’m laying in bed. What is the point of the busy sign when they don’t respect it ? The stay was the worst I have had anywhere in California. Then the WiFi doesn’t work inside the rooms and you don’t even get proper cell reception in your room. Called front desk 3 times no one answered Worst stay ever. Will never stay here again.

There was a convention when we stayed at the hotel. I asked to check in a little early, since we arrived early. The lady did not apologize or say “I’m sorry we don’t have any rooms avail at this time.” She just said “no rooms avail. Come back at 3” Zero customer service. I’ve stayed at this place several times and I’m not sure if I’ll be back.

Reception music played loud and way after 10 pm quiet time (11:30 pm). Being in the room was torture and terrible, We couldn't even hear the TV. We needed an early night to rest enough for a long trip home. We got 2 to 3 hours which wasn't enough. Calls to the front desk were never answered. No one was reachable. The free breakfast has very little to offer because they want you go order from their restaurant menu $$. Room was overpriced even though the hotel is in the middle of a reconstruction that leaves choice of rooms very limited.

The staff was really nice. The thing I didn’t like was we didn’t find out about the parking fees until we checked in even though there was a event at the time of our stay that was free parking but if your staying at the hotel you get charged parking per night. They can work on the cleanliness of the rooms.

I made my reservation in advance. Upon my arrival, I was told that no rooms were available. I checked in at 3:00 and was taken aback that no rooms were available. The soft-spoken agent made some phone calls and found a room that was way in the back and far from the parking lot. The room itself was okay. It was clean, but this hotel is very old, and it definitely showed. The thing that has me bugged is that I put a 100-dollar deposit down for incidentals. I was then charged the amount for the stay, but after 4 phone calls, I still have not received that deposit back. I probably won't stay there again. Pretty mediocre customer service, okay rooms, and difficult to get in toufh with anyone who can assist you.

Didn't use bar or coffee service. Room was too cool at first until I found thermostat and was able to adjust it to my comfort level. Room was clean. Staff was very friendly. Loved that my room overlooked the mall below with decorated trees.

Great staff. Room was clean and tidy. I was on the 3rd floor and it was very quiet!! Even next to the airport. I will be returning! I definitely recommend this hotel!

Receptionist rude, waited an extra 30 mins 3 pm to get my room

Friendly staff and good service, I personally loved my window view of the airport. Only problems were the toilet clogged easily, and shower water pressure was low. Other than that their courtyard is beautiful, and the hotel location is close to food, shopping etc. Thank you CPH!

The property is right next to an airport but it was very quiet. The rooms and bathrooms were a bit outdated but the beds were comfortable. The internet was good. There was a fridge and microwave. The room was clean. Ac was working. We were checked in by friendly front desk staff, Chase. Parking is convenient. With a fee per night. No restaurant in the hotel but it is conveniently around the area. There’s a Starbucks walk in distance. The indoor pool was great! The kids had a blast swimming. The lobby has pretty lights at night, great ambiance. Very chill. It was a fun stay!!!!!

There is a transient aircraft parking area next to the hotel so I flew in to the Concord airport and parked and spent one night at the Hotel. Last time I was there was maybe 10-15 years ago and they had a nice restaurant and they had the back door accessible daytime so you could park the plane and walk in. Now, they shut down the entire back and you have to walk all the way around the entire hotel to get to the front to go in. Also they quit having any restaurant or food.

Convenient to Bay Area.

The building was large and there was enough parking spots. It is near the highway, a Trader Joe's and a Target. The room was large, but cleanliness could be better.

I had a prepaid breakfast. That was either oatmeal or yogurt. There was no real choice where it should have been bacon and eggs type breakfast or a bigger buffet.

Breakfast was terrible. Probably the worst I’ve ever had.

Fresh, but very limited. No milk, butter, juice available without asking.

The Keurig machine had a dark stain inside. They say they offer you breakfast, but it is a single day per room per stay of fruit wedges, oatmeal, and a muffin. You might have to sneak around the bar for a fork and napkins. Will not return.

Staff are the best qualities of the hotel. Breakfast was terrible.

The hotel is beautiful and the staff were friendly. One issue during both of my stays was housekeeping knocking early in the morning, starting around 8:30 a.m., even though checkout is at 11. Breakfast options were also fairly limited, consisting of oatmeal and fruit.

The lobby is really nice. While not a very varied menu, the food at the restaurant was good. Food is your typical American fare, so there's not really an international meal option. Drinks and wine were excellent. Breakfast in the morning was great too, way better food than other hotels I've stayed at. Bed is really comfortable, but furniture and decor in the rooms could use an upgrade. Furniture was dated and noticeable chips in several places. Glass tops on the furniture were not placed accurately- in a hotel like the Hilton, the glass tops on the furniture would have been meticulously placed. A bit of an odd smell in the hallway, but nothing too concerning there. I only stayed for one night so cleaning my room wasn't a concern for me, but apparently you have to request them to have housekeeping clean your room- odd since this is standard in most other hotels. People who stay there seem to be a mix of foreigners and trashy locals. I stayed overnight because I just had my carpet cleaned that day and needed a cleaner place than my apartment to stay while everything was still in disarray. I might stay again. It was okay for a one night stay. Price was reasonable, but if I have a budget to spend more then I'd probably choose a better maintained and more modern hotel.

We added an extra night and were told to book online. We were not notified of the daily parking fee on the hotels personal website or the hotels.com website. Every time we wanted to purchase from the little convenience store in the lobby, we'd have to wait in a line while one person checked in a hotel guest. Another guest was just waiting for some towels. The bar and restaurant were closed, which was one of the amenities that we were looking forward to. This was not posted on the website or in front of the restaurant that they were going through renovations next month. The electricity went out for at least an hour Saturday morning and with a little one begging for food, that we brought, to heat up in the microwave, we had to go out to breakfast. All our ice cream in the little freezer melted within the hour as well. We were trying to eat it before it completely melted. We also had some food in the fridge from dinner the night before. There were 6 guys who looked like workers Sunday morning standing at the back door of building K, smoking cigarettes while I was trying to load up the car and I had to keep walking through them while the crew got larger. I asked for a refund on the parking at least for the issues we encountered and the person at the desk, not sure if he didn't like his job but very plain and lazily replied, "I am unable to reverse charges, the manager would have to do it." Ok, well, grab a manager! He didn't apologize for the issues we encountered.

Easy access to transportation but breakfast mainly consist of carbs and temperature for coffee is warm not hot coffee you want in the morning
