What guests think

Across recent reviews, Astoria Grand Hotel is praised for a convenient location near the center, generally clean, comfortable renovated rooms, and at times friendly staff, while common drawbacks include costly parking and patchy Wi‑Fi.

Service feedback is mixed: many note courteous teams, but others report an unwelcoming front desk, advance-payment policies, and occasional booking or billing problems. Room impressions vary beyond comfort, with some complaints about noise or light, limited power outlets, weak air conditioning, and occasional mismatches with website photos. Breakfast opinions range widely, from very good to poor, with repeated mentions of cold items, broken coffee machines, and long queues during tour-group rushes. Expect a modern, well-located stay, but weigh breakfast, service, and connectivity against your needs.

I will not come back to this hotel. On the top floor there is a noisy club that plays loud music until 1.30 AM. Even NINE floors below it you still can hear it. The window curtain allows a lot of light to enter the room just after the sunrise, so you can sleep just a few hours. The breakfast is decent

The property was clean and innovative. The front desk unfriendly and I felt I was disturbing when asked few questions. My room (suit for 3) was not set up for 3 but only for two people. The housekeeper was very friendly and helped us setting it up quickly but the front desk seemed to be irritated because she was asked. Not enough charging outlets in the room. Not a single one in the bedroom - only 2 for the nightstands but they were behind the bed stand so if you want to charge your phone at night you can’t. Overall a good property but the front desk staff should be more friendly and welcoming.

The hotel personnel could be a bit friendlier, and the breakfast buffet - better. Most of the "hot dishes" were not hot at all, and on some days the variety was definitely lesser.

It was the worst hotel experience in my history of traveling, first they could not find my booking, then my assistant paid another room, then they still charged my card for the booking they could not find, after fighting them they say the money will be returned but if I said nothing they would not refund, the breakfast was terrible cold and with hair and scrambled eggs with eggshells in it, if this is a for star hotel, then I'll try book 8 star next time. I reported the complete incident to my friends in the government and we consider to recommend our organizations to stop using hotels. Com as well.
